When we walked in , the lady didn't serve us and just looked at us then went back to what she was doing. Was recommended this place by my sister in law. Love the cups they put it in. The tapioca balls were a great texture. Only thing is I asked for 30 percent sugar in my bubble tea and the staff person told me I could only do 50 percent sugar in the drink I picked which I found to be quite sweet. Came to skycity plaza for their endless bubble tea option on a sunday night. As usual this area is always so packed but finding parking was not difficult. My friend and I only had difficulties deciding on where to get bubble tea, stumbled upon this place and decided to give this a try as we saw a few people coming in to get their reusable plastic bottled drinks. They were doing a few promos with 2 for $8 on selected drinks. I wanted a fruit tea and decided to get peach. The drink came with jelly and rice topping. We always love trying new bubble tea shops, so when Cha Miao came up in our Google search for boba, we were so excited because we've never seen it before. Not sure when they opened up, but we were so happy we discovered this place! We ordered the Miao Miao lychee tea ($6.49) and mango yogurt slush ($6.99). Both tasted so good, not to mention how aesthetically pleasing they were! We were able to adjust the sugar level to 70% for the lychee drink, but the mango yogurt slush was fixed. We usually get 25% sugar, so we were surprised that both weren't that sweet at all! It was the perfect level of sweetness. What we also loved is that the toppings were already included in these drinks. We didn't feel the need to add any, as they give a generous amount. Service was good, as we didn't have to wait long, and they have proper covid restrictions in place. Verdict: We will be back! Definitely check this place out if you're in the area. read more

The Mecca of bbt and food stores - midland and finch. I've made it a personal mission to try bbt at as many offerings as I can in this plaza so Cha Miao was the choice of the night. I had seen others with cups from here and with it's cute little cat logo, I figured it can't be that bad. I discovered they recently launched an app with an ordering system and coupons so I gathered my order with friends and sent it off for pickup. Upon arrival the store was empty but clean. There was one staff member working and she was nice. I could hear the ping of orders coming through but she was single handedly and diligently working. She welcomed me immediately and when I mentioned it was an order for pickup she checked right away and needed 10 min to finish my drinks. More than understandable as I was a bit early too. Sure enough in 10 minutes I was out the door with drinks in hand. Now the drinks themselves. No complaints from me or my friends. Everything was fresh and wasn't too sweet. I think I would prefer to make my sweetness a little higher at this place as I opted for 50% and it was actually not overly sweet. I ordered the Mochi soy cream milk tea and it was pleasantly refreshing. The mochi was a little softer than I expected but definitely a unique topping that I enjoyed. I got a good flavouring of soy powder and flavour as well. The dragonfruit smoothie and grape tea slush were pretty and friends said they were good. I can't say anything myself since I didn't try. I went here late at night and grabbed the Oreo mochi milk tea with half sugar. I really enjoyed it though it was a bit on the sweeter side. I would get the same drink again but with less sugar next time. The mochi had good flavour and texture. The flavour of the tea itself was still prominent even with the extra Oreo and mochi toppings. The cat mascot caught my eye as I wondering which bubble tea place to go to at Skycity. Cha Miao is a relatively new contender in the area that have really eye catching bottles (machi machi watch out!) I got the mango yogurt drink that was served in a bottle that was layered well with different toppings. The toppings in the drink were jelly pieces and mango which complimented the mango slush and yogurt drink. After shaking it and trying it, it tasted a lot like a mango pudding. I would highly recommend if you're in the mood for one of those. I'm definitely coming back to try more of the drinks - especially the yogurt ones, and the other miao miao teas. Plus points, the bottle comes with a lid that has a hole already punched into it, with a wide mouth. Definitely something I would keep for plant propagation. read more

Ordered a bunch of drinks from here yesterday for family as I was super intrigued by their fancy wide selection of flavours and drinks. Might I add that the drinks and packaging are the cutest things I've ever seen! I can't speak much for the other drinks but I myself ordered the mango pudding jasmine slush and loved it... it was unlike anything I've ever had. It had so many different components to it that it was more like a dessert drink but in the most satisfying way. With every sip I got mouthfuls of different flavours... from the mango chunks to the sago and pomelo bits. Everything mended together nicely, though I will say the mango taste was very subtle but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. I wasn't expecting the drink to have as many ingredients as it did. The workers were very nice and accommodating as well. I ordered through Fantuan because they have a promo going on and the 2 yogurt drinks didn't have the option to add any toppings in app. When I went in store to ask if I could add tapioca, he said he didn't recommend it since everything was fixed already but I still really wanted the tapioca. He said he would include it for me for free, though I insisted and paid the additional difference. It was still a nice gesture since some places are very by the book stingy when it comes to adding toppings to drinks. Overall I would recommend this place and return to try more from their menu. It is at a steeper price point but justifiable since the drinks are so unique and packed with so many different components. As a self-proclaimed mango smoothie connoisseur, I had to try it on my first trip here. This was the best mango smoothie I've ever had. Very flavourful with the perfect amount of chunkiness. That led me to try the strawberry and peach smoothies as well, which were also amazing and worth ordering again. Feeling particularly bold, I attempted the avocado smoothie. Cool packaging and unique drink. We decided to share a bbt just to try them out and was pleased with how tasty the drink was. Miao Miao Peach Enzyme - The drink is very refreshing and I like that it's not overly sweet. There are little peach bits in it with mini flower bulbs of some sort in there. I was enticed by the pretty bottle but was really let down. Originally I wanted the Lychee Tea but since they were sold out, I opted for the Peach Tea. Peach flavour was very artificial and overall it felt like I was drinking a perfume. I couldn't really see inside the drink but there was some type of jelly in there. The jelly didn't have any flavour. That or the perfume-y drink just overpowered the flavour of it. My friend ordered the Mango pudding jasmine slush and she said it really lacked any mango flavour. Overall verdict: don't be fooled by the pretty bottle. I'm giving it a 2-star review because there are other drinks on the menu that sound really good and I'd give it a chance one day if all the other bubble tea joints in the area have huge line ups. read more

We ordered their Kumquat Lemon Tea with Jelly and the Honeydew Yogurt Slush. The Kumquat Lemon Tea was super refreshing and had a nice taste. We enjoyed the perfect balance of tea and kumquat, but we did find it a little bit bitter. We recommend when ordering this drink to consume it rather quickly due to an increase in bitterness as time passes. The jelly was almost like a coconut jelly and was a nice topping for this drink. The Honeydew Yogurt Slush came in cute rectangular bottle which really enticed us to try this drink! To our surprise this drink was so yummy. The slush was made with real honeydew and the yogurt mixed well with the flavour. We will definitely be returning to this bubble tea spot to try out different drinks. Having been walking past this place a few times, I never went in to try. Recently, Cha Miao was going an Instagram contest and luckily, I won a free drink! I am so glad I got the chance to try. I came on the last day of the redemption period and got to pick anything. We were craving a milk tea and settled on the soy mochi milk tea and we added tapioca (extra charge). The drink was made quickly and the staff were nice. We didn't expect the drink to come with whipped cream! It would've been nice if there was fine print on the drink menu or a brief mention when ordering. Whipped cream does not settle well in my stomach haha. Regardless, the milk tea base itself I loved. The tea was strong and flavourful. There were nice amounts of mochi rolling around the drink and I thoroughly enjoyed the texture mixed with the pearls. The aesthetics of this place seemed really cute from what I've seen online so I was super excited to try out some of their drinks. I believe most of the drinks they offer are fixed in sugar/ice level (or at least the two drinks I picked up were) but they told me that there is no extra added sugar. Here's a breakdown of the drinks I got: Mango Pomelo Coconut Slush - this was actually so tasty, it was like a dessert in a drink form. If you have had the Hong Kong Mango Pomelo Sago dessert before, this is essentially another version of it. It gets a 10/10 for me, I wished they had a larger version of it. Avocado Yogurt Slush - this comes in a pretty square bottle where you can see the different layers separated nicely. Make sure to shake it up well before you drink it! It has a smooth texture to it and tastes very much like avocado. It wasn't my favourite but still an ok drink. read more

I'm clearly a sucker for pretty things and these drinks are no exception. Not only were these pretty, they were yummy too! Cha Miao's Lychee Tea is one of their signatures items. It has rose flower petals, pieces of real lychee and other pieces of jelly. The only annoying this was the toppings sort of stuck together so I had to break up the chunk with the straw. I got 70% sweetness which was a perfect level for me. I'm not a fan of those thick and heavy drinks so this was really refreshing and light for me. Also had the mango pomelo coconut slush, and it wasn't as good as their signature bottled drinks.
