I remember years ago when I had my first BBT, those tapioca pearls with milk tea were good! As with anything, you have to constantly create new flavours and new packaging to keep people coming back. One thing is for sure, whatever they are putting in those drinks have my fellow Asian population hooked!!! So many new stores and so many new drinks that I have to up my insulin - ugh. Today is iTea One. They are located inside the twin finger towers at 4750 Yonge Street. The finger towers are two tall green condos with curved penthouses. The bottom of the building are shops and offices. There is even an LCBO inside the place. iTea One is on the west side. Walk into the little shop that stands in the center of the pathway. Fresh citrus and other fruits are present - always a nice thing to see. Two friendly shop owners greeted us and asked for our order. I was looking forward to their New Double Roasted Milk Tea. My kid, who just polished off a Johnny's Banquet Burger with Fries and Gravy, eyed himself a Pearl Strawberry Latte. You would think he looked like his old man but nope...fitter than the proverbial fiddle! Oh to be less than 2 decades old again! LOL! The Milk Tea was good. I had it with regular ice and less sugar. You can really taste the double roasted tea. The other drink looked like a strawberry shortcake blended and put back into a cup. Layers of flavours. It was so good that the kid finished it off before we even left the parking area. All in all, a good experience. Good service, good product, but the location is more geared to the walking customer, as parking can be a pain. I was able to parked on Beecroft, north of Poyntz. Costs 50cents for 15mins before 4pm or it's tow truck time! Walked into the nearest door from there - it is the closest to the food centre. Cheers! read more

Cute tea shop with interesting and unique bubble teas! We got the osmanthus oolong tea latte with tapioca and the strawberry golden shake with cake cream icing and tapioca. The osmanthus oolong was quite lovely, with a fruity floral aspect to it. I'm a bit disappointed that this drink is mostly just a tea bag + sweetened milk, but the flavour is quite unique regardless. The strawberry golden shake was actually so interesting. It literally tastes like liquid strawberry cheesecake, which is may not sound delicious, but it's super delicious! I definitely recommend coming here to try some unique and interesting bubble tea flavours! read more

Tucked away inside the food court at the southwest corner of Yonge and Sheppard (inside the green building), it appears not many people know that this place even exists! I checked it out recently to try out some drinks and they've got some pretty interesting featured items. The two taro drinks steal the highlight out of the new releases. Made with real taro and accompanied by either taro tapioca or purple rice topping, you can really taste the freshness and authenticity of the drink. No fake powder shenanigans. I would definitely say that these drinks aren't suited for everyone, but targets the Chinese clientele quite well (since that is the predominant ethnicity of residents in this area). I even observed a lot of young Chinese people who looked like they were still half in PJs drinking this place's bubble tea in the food court area. If you're looking for something more generic, they also carry regular milk tea options and fresh fruit teas or slushies. I tried both the cake creme milk tea and the double roasted milk tea. I found that they were both really milky, even though I already didn't pick the fresh milk. The flavor was quite good and thankfully not too sweet. Overall, I think this place is a good addition of bubble tea to the Yonge and Sheppard area. It gives more variety to people in the vicinity without having to walk all the way to the Finch area. read more

This hidden gem is located south of Yonge and Sheppard with lots of competition around the neighborhood. They make some unique drinks with fresh natural ingredients. I discovered the food court under the Emerald condos as we were hunting for some takeout. It could be difficult to find for many but luckily my friend knew what she wanted. My friend was craving for a taro drink and I had a taste of it with our takeout. They have a tiny shop in the food court so expect to order and go. I believe that there is paid parking but we opted to walk as it was a nice day. I'm not a big fan of sweet drinks but I liked the fact that they used real taro. The other drinks were interested as they had lots of colour and I saw them make them with fresh ingredients. The only disadvantage of this place is that it is hidden away from the street viewpoint. Other bbt and drinks places nearby were clearly visible from Yonge Street or easy to find. Hope they had better signage for other peeps to find them. read more

After walking into the plaza, I was a bit skeptical and had to re-check my Google maps to make sure I was in the right spot. However, I looked further in and there it was, right in the back iTea One. This is seriously a hidden gem with delicious and unique drinks! We ordered the Double Roasted Milk Tea, Fresh Taro Milk Tea, Strawberry Shake Latte and Purple Yam Milk Boba. As someone that really loves milk tea and usually would order only milk tea drinks, I was really surprised that my favourite drink was the Purple Yam Milk Boba! This drink was really pretty and delicious with an ample amount of purple yam paste, tapioca and barley. I love a good strong tea flavour and my first visit to most bubble places is usually going to end up with a milk tea option. The tapioca isn't that memorable but their tea is something special for sure. I would go back for sure. Small little Bubble tea shop that opened at Yonge and Sheppard. They are located right by the food court there. Despite the foot traffic they get every day, I don't really see it busy there. The prices are standard $5-6 for a drink. I got the special at the time (Hot Strawberry Fruit Tea). Being that it was colder than my ex's heart at the time, I opted for a hot drink. I though the combo of a hot fruit tea was interesting in a drink. The strawberries were present throughout but it wasn't as sweet as I thought it would be (perfect for those who like it a bit more bitter). There are a multitude of bubble tea shops in this plaza (and probably more to open soon). Not sure if I would venture back, but always interested to try things other than standard HK milk tea or mango drinks. read more

An interesting new bbt option in this area which has a few distinct features compared to the many, many other bbt shops nearby. Their drinks are rather creamy and less sweet than other places so you may want to get one sugar level above your normal choice. While I wasn't able to try any of their purple yam drinks, their double roasted milk tea and fresh taro milk tea (which had a ground taro paste) were quite good and unique from other places with its creamy taste. I would give the drinks 3 stars on their own, and 1 more star for the delicious taro and golden tapiocas. read more

The Milk Yam Boba was definitely a treat! I love Taro and the texture was perfect. It wasn't too sweet either and the combination of tapioca and barley is a match made in heaven. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because it's expensive. $6.30 for a regular which is smaller than the regular at other bubble tea places. They use the same type of cup as The Alley. That being said, I will definitely go again, it just won't be that often. read more

Can be found if you find your way to the kind of hidden food court. Service was quick and friendly. The drinks were good, but like many of its competitors, they are also good. So in terms of differentiation there isn't that much. Their signature which was some cake in the milk tea has been done before and isn't that unique. They literally have direct and indirect competitors all around them. So I would encourage either some differentiation or position themselves in a way that makes people go to them first. read more

Tried the matcha brown sugar boba here and not going back. In replacement of the brown sugar boba, the regular tapioca feels like it's supermarket quality boiled in water and turned out like plain, chewy carbs with no taste. The matcha doesn't taste like matcha or can't taste it at all. A little pricy for what I expected (~$7). read more

I had the brown sugar fresh milk latte, and it was incredible! Normally the taste of milk feels watered down, but here you can definitely taste the milk. The brown sugar has the right amount of sweetness, not overpowering and the tapioca really enhances the entire drink. My go to drink anytime I'm in the area. read more
