Had an amazing dinner with a friend here earlier tonight, and overall the experience was quite enjoyable! We shared the ahi aguachile as an appetizer, and I had the salmon as an appetizer. Right when you walk in, you definitely notice how busy everything is. Our server, Macey, was incredibly kind and explained the menu super well for us, but it definitely looked and felt like she had a lot of other tables to take care of. Wishing her the best! The complimentary chips were a little salty for my friend and I, and it didn't help that the green salsa was on the saltier side as well. The aguachile came in a very generous portion, and tasted very fresh and balanced! I would've loved a little more avocado personally, and I don't think the tuna stood out as much in the dish. Overall though, it was a really great starter! The salmon and potatoes were the absolute highlight of the meal for me. The sauce was delicious and came in a very generous portion, and I'm glad for that because I just kept coming back for it. The potatoes were so crispy and well seasoned, and the salmon itself was very excellently cooked. It was not dry at all, and the meat was so tender. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this place if you're even in the Brea area. Be sure to get a reservation to avoid a long wait though! read more

The restaurant was kind of empty, But service is kind of slow. We had to flag down a server to get our water refilled. We waited about 20 min after we sat down before our order was taken. I'd say out of those 3, I'd rank them 1-chicken, 2-crab/shrimp, 3-cheese. Shrimp & crab I liked bc it was different. Chicken was good but it was just as good as most chicken enchiladas I've had. They're usually good. I'd get it again, and I'd maybe be down to get the crab & shrimp again too. But probably not before the salmon or carne asada. Watermelon margarita was pretty good. Cha Cha's Latin Kitchen is the E.P.I.T.O.M.E of what restaurant business should be. My dining experience here was like taking a breath of fresh air. There is so much to love about this place. The smile I had when I was greeted at the entrance didn't once leave my face and there were many times that my smile turned into laughter while chatting it up with the servers and manager. Cha Cha's offers a little bit of everything for any kind of occasion...from a dinner date to a family gathering to a birthday celebration to a ladies brunch to watching Monday night football. There was so much to take in from the moment I walked in but I want to say the ambiance made a great first impression - the lighting, the music choice, the simplicity of the decor and the contagious smiles all the servers and workers had were all noticeable - Joey, Amanda and the manager truly made us feel welcomed. I love love love the set up. The dining area is divided by a beautiful and very spacious bar. There's tons of seating in this restaurant, whether it be indoor, at the bar, in the private room in the back or outdoor. And I love that they offer TVs on all sides of the restaurant. I love that the stalls in the restroom are private and it's obvious that it gets a lot of TLC. If you're a follower on my Insta or on Yelp, you will know that coffee is my addiction. And so when I asked the server if they had coffee and when Joey said that they serve Lavazza, I immediately knew I was going to be in love with this place. And sure enough the great vibes continued when he mentioned they offer all kinds of flavors for lemonade and so my son was excited to order a mango lemonade. What I find rare in the restaurant business that I so badly appreciate when I do get it, is when managers take the time to check up on tables and customers and actually engage. I mentioned there's lots to love about this place, and I haven't even talked about the food yet, but the one thing that made my dining experience epic during my dinner here is how much the manager checked up on us with his friendly smile, warm vibes and positive attitude. I could tell that he is passionate about his job and that he knows the menu because every recommendation he made was on point. I could tell he genuinely cared about us and wanted us to be satisfied and happy. At the end, he took the time to check on us and thanked us for choosing Cha Cha's to have dinner and gave us a $10 gift card towards our next visit. That alone is a 5+ star rating and the cherry on top! The food is nothing what I've had before. And being a YES, it speaks volume. Every thing the manager recommended lived up to its hype. I love the balance in the watermelon margarita - not too sweet, not too strong. The breading on the calamari and shrimp appetizer was perfection, and again, it's nothing like I've had before - the breading wasn't overwhelming thick and I love that I was able to capture the seasoning in every bite. And we got a little surprise - breaded lemon pieces!!!! Yum!!!! The seafood caldo had me literally saying "mmmm" and I want to say a big thank you to the chefs. My son and I don't do well with spicy foods and so I asked for it with no spice. I'm fully aware that spices are what make a dish and so when our seafood caldo came to us and we were able to devour it without our mouths on fire I know it takes talent to pull that off... so thank you!!! Our meal ended with a dessert creation like no other - a trio ice cream of vanilla, dulce de leche and chocolate. Now when I say these flavors, you cannot think the flavors you get from Baskin Robbins. You have to think of ice cream with a Latin flavor. I'm not going to describe it because there's some things I want to leave a surprise, especially because the nice little homemade sugar cookie you get in this trio was a nice and perfect touch. I actually asked for more!!!! Thank you Cha Cha's for a once in a lifetime kind of experience - you did not disappoint! I will definitely be coming back to check out your bottomless mimosas, to take advantage of your daily specials and the $10 gift card we got. Not out usual pick for dining out, but decided to check this place out. We arrived on a Friday night, 10 minutes before our reservation. We waiting about 5 minutes before being sat. Served with warm tortillas, the queso fundido was very tasty. The are serve chips and salsa. Very dangerous, for the chips are really good. The salsas, 3 different ones, are also very tasty. We then ordered our entrees, shrimp And crab enchiladas and the chefs special, mahi mahi. Both very tasty, the mahi mahi was cooked to perfection. Although the enchiladas were also very good, stuffing your face with chips is salads prior to your entree is not a good idea. I ended up taking most of it home. Although we were full, we decided to try a desert. We ordered the tres leches, very good, it melts in your mouth. Very moist and served with a strawberry salsa. I was also very impressed with the customer service, our server was on it. She had several tables, and she was very efficient. It seems like them have teamwork for, several employees dropped the different food teams. Everyone was super friendly. Lastly, it's rare that during your dining experience, you have floor managers stop by and ask you about your dinner. We had two different managers stop by and ask. What an AMAZING experience as usual! We have been coming here for 13 years and moved to Las Vegas 10 years ago. Every time we come to Brea we HAVE to come back home to Cha Cha's. The prior owner was one of the sweetest men ever, and after hearing about his passing, it's good to know things have not changed in the quality of food, not the heart and soul of the love put in to ever "sabor" or flavor. The hospitality was OUT OF THIS WORLD. The manager Rafa was so kind and made sure our experience was something we would carry all the way back home to Las Vegas.
