$4 for a cup of water (that's supposed to be a bottle)
    Brandon B.

I stopped by Chaîné expecting a nice little café/bakery experience, but it was disappointing from start to finish. First off, they actually charged me for a small cup of lukewarm sink water when they were out of bottled water -- something that's supposed to be free in the state of NM. When I politely asked about it, the staff were rude and dismissive, like I was bothering them for even asking. I decided to try one of their cookies even though the selection was next to nothing, hoping it would make up for the poor service -- big mistake. It was dry, bland, and tasted like it had been sitting out all day. Definitely not worth the hefty price. Between being overcharged for basic things, the terrible cookies and a small cup of water, and the attitude from the staff, I won't be coming back. There are plenty of better places nearby that actually value their customers. Hard to support local small businesses when they're overpriced and mid.

This is a small French bakery tucked into a quiet side street location. Seriously some of the best cookies we've ever had. I chose the creme brûlée, and it was insanely good. If you have a sweet tooth and appreciate quality baked goods go out of your way to visit this place, you won't be sorry. They have a variety of macarons in delightful flavors, soft cookies, and some interesting coffee drinks. Limited seating both inside and out. Service was slow due to limited staff, a little patience is needed. Also check the hours they're open before visiting.

I accidentally came across this cookie place when taking a shortcut to a museum. It's in a little cut called Burro Aly. Chaine Cookies is the only cookie store in this area. It is a hidden gem. I purchased the crème beulee and lemon something...sorry I was just happy to see cookies The young lady that helped me let me know that the cookies are baked fresh every morning, and they have a selection of macaroons as well. The cookies were two types of chocolate chip one with nuts, and one without, and another cookie called the almond croissant. The top was sprinkled with slivered almonds. I will definitely return for more cookies. I am so happy I came across this cute little cookie shop.

We wandered into this cafe after visiting the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum. The strawberry matcha latte was very tasty and refreshing! Highly recommend.

Pistachio and Blue Corn are my favorite! All delicious and legit macarons!

Tucked in historical Burro Alley off the Plaza - don't sleep on this amazing gem! These are the best cookies and macarons in all of Santa Fe. The flavors are a beautiful mash up of traditional, unique and unexpected in all the right ways. They have a great coffee menu and the atmosphere is just gorgeous. The creme brûlée cookie is my favorite and I've never had such a satisfying cookie in my life! It's a whole other level. The owner is beautiful inside and out, and her talent and attention to detail, just shines on a whole other level. Santa Fe is so lucky to have her! Pro tip: Get in there early because they sell out fast!!

The employees/baristas and customers were so friendly here! I'm from San Diego and was visiting Santa Fe for a week with my family. I tried to sample many of the coffee shops in town and this one stood out for its friendly service and warm atmosphere, plus quality coffee. I ordered the horchata latte and it was delicious! However, it didn't seem very strong coffee-wise (I believe my latte had two shots of espresso?), so I had to come back like an hour later to get a second one to satisfy my caffeine needs. The breakfast/brunch options looked amazing and were reasonably priced, but during our stay we did not end up eating here...we simply ran out of time! The space is within a shared work building right off the street, walkable from where we were staying and close enough to walk to the Plaza. I enjoyed walking here on a few mornings and getting the feel of what it might be like to be a local in town, while scanning the many clothing and other types of shops along the way. Overall I'd recommend this coffee shop for friendly vibes and yummy coffee drinks...but next time I'd add an extra shot to my latte.

I got the roasted shishito peppers as a light snack and they came with a creamy dipping sauce. The staff were chill and helpful. The ambiance is one of my favorites because It's very calm and chill and people are working or just hanging out. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We wanted to sit outside but it was busy so we opted for a high table indoors. Overall I enjoyed my coffee and food and will definitely be back!

Cafecito has been showing up on my reels and it looked like the kind of special I wanted. Just a few steps away from the Railyards, this place seems to be in its own island, in a quiet corner. The place is simple in decoration, with lots of plants, plenty of natural light, and a cozy vibe. The manager or owner greeted us. We started special the right way . Staff took a little longer than I expected to take our order (or I may have been veeeery hungry). However, our order came quite quick! The hubby ordered the Santa Fe and Carne Empanadas with lentil soup. I ordered the Gaucho to get some range. The empanadas were quite good and tasty. They were on the medium size, well packed with protein, with a nice and soft pastry. The Santa Fe had very fragrant green chiles and good seasoning on the chicken. The Carne had an amazing taste on the wagyu with a bit of spice and sweet with those peppers. The lentil soup was thick and tasty with every spoonful. The Gaucho, unfortunately, was not as successful as the empanadas. The sourdough was thinly sliced and perfectly toasted, pairing well with the butter and quince jam. The provolone and tomatoes were confusing, but they were well portioned. The eggs were fluffy and ok, nothing to die for, just well executed. The flank steak relied a lot on the chimichurri, which added great acidity, but without it, the steak did not have its own seasoning or flavor. It was satisfying, but the visuals tricked me into thinking it was going to blow my mind. Overall, this is a nice space to hang with friends for a special occasion and enjoy some tasty options. I'm interested in returning to try other things. I like when a place sparks my curiosity.
