Had a visitor this week and went up to Ojo Caliente and decided to stop at Whoo Donuts on the way back. Let me add it was late in the day. The donuts were not good! I really wanted to love them, but they tasted day old. Now the blue corn blueberry and lavender was fantastic!!! The overall shop vibe was awesome!! Loved it! The pizza....the pizza was amazing!!!! The blue corn pepperoni and green chile with pineapple was yum!!! Made it worth the stop. Would stop for pizza again, but pass on the donuts.
First visit, was informed they are in their 16th year of business, i am ashamed i have not been here sooner Was on a time line but quick service with a smile made a dozen delicious donuts mine Very wide variety of choices, each one is a taste treat. Will say the "everything bagel" donut aint my thing. Yes he nailed the flavors perfectly, even a cream cheese filling Planning a trip to taste his homemade pizza soon! Don't wait 16 years for a visit like i did
Whoo's Donuts is something extraordinary creative delights. I've been here on several occasions. Sometimes I just run in and grab a few of this and that popular donuts for friends, family and myself. Their coffee is a great choice with these tasty donuts. A popular choice for me has been a Dubai pistachio chocolate donut and the strawberry sprinkles. When you're in the area and looking for donuts that are solid creative goodness, just stop by Whoo's Donuts. There's a selection of goodies for all to try and enjoy.
Thrilled their hours are now extended, because we finally had the opportunity to try their donuts! I totally forgot how a quality donut was supposed to taste. These donuts are perfection! Though they were sold out of several varieties by the time we arrived after lunch, there was still a great assortment of flavors to try. The shop is super cute and cozy. The service was friendly and very helpful. This is a lovely place for locals and visitors to our community. We will definitely be back to try some more.
We stopped here while in town because we heard about the blue corn blueberry lavender donuts. It did not disappoint! Very unique. The texture is a little more dry than a blueberry cake donut. We are glad we gave it a try! The blue corn maple pecan was also very good. I highly recommend trying several of the creative recipes they offer. I wish we could have had a bite of each. Our favorite was the traditional Boston cream. They use the same homemade chocolate that the chocolatier uses next door. Their tea is clean high quality Harney & Sons. They also sell coffee. We will return and try their pizza before the weekend ends.
OK, so how is it that I've been to / from Santa Fe so many times and have driven by this great donut shop sitting in plain sight?!?! In honor of my dad's birthday, he loved donuts, I stopped in to appreciate this local legacy of a donut shop. East parking, friendly service and an amazing lavender blue corn doughnut Now that I know where it is, I'll be back! !
We came for the famous blue corn blueberry lavender donut, and it did not disappoint! Even my husband, who's not usually into sweets, wanted a few extra bites. It wasn't overly sweet, more like a perfect mix between a blue corn muffin and a donut. Absolutely delicious! I wish we had ordered another so we didn't have to share!
Great donuts and great atmosphere too. I picked up a blue corn maple pecan and I really loved it. Kinda cornbread-y, touch of maple, and crunchy pecans - spectacular. The decor is comfy, and they have a record player so the music has that real nice sound. I've tried every donut place in the city and this one's my favorite.
I was so excited to check this place out after reading the reviews. The person responsible for the presentation did an outstanding job. We tried the blue lavender, dark chocolate cake donut, apple fritter and the kolache. The kolache and the chocolate cake draw high marks. The blue lavender was different but I didn't mind it. The reason for 3* was one of the staffers seemed bothered that I was in the store, just cold. My wife told me later that I need to "read the room" :). I don't give 1* if I feel like place is making an effort. You never know what a person is going through that day.
Stopped in to pickup some donuts after morning hike after driving from ABQ.. we picked up a variety of different donuts and everything was pretty good. Highlights for me was the green chilie apple fritter, which was just ok for me. You can taste and see the green chilie but the texture was not like a normal apple fritter. The Boston cream was good, wish there was more filling, but the chocolate frosting tasted like chocolate from m&M's. Overall pretty good, nothing to complain about, but I wish there were a little more fluffly. Would come back next time we're in Santa Fe.
We came in at closing time and wanted to grab a few donuts because we had heard rave reviews about the blue corn lavender donut and we were leaving too early the next morning (before they opened) to be able get some for the road. The owner let us in and threw in some extra free donuts! Bonus: they were all delicious and tided us over on our road trip to Dallas. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Santa Fe!
Delicious :D Went in for donuts, and stayed for pizza. Ordered the "Cali" pizza and it had some great flavors. Heated it up for leftovers and it was even better! (That's sourdough for ya). Owner has perfected his craft. Thanks again, will be back...
I'm not a donut eater however WHO's DONUTS have to be the best I've ever had. Their modest establishment shares a sign with "coins for sale" so I wasn't crazy about giving them a try. However, Yelp asked us for donut reviews and I begrudgingly agreed. I'm so happy that there are donuts to please even the fussiest. They are even served at the Santa Fe Farmers Market. No matter, just give them a try. But go early as they sell out fast. And the modest establishment is so very cute inside.

Great pizza (Thursday through Saturday) . I think this is the best pizza in Santa Fe. The crust is a chewy sourdough, the tomato sauce is tangy and the ingredients are very fresh. We had the Mediterranean and the Islander. Both were very good. It reminds of the focaccia you get from the true Italian restaurants in San Francisco. Going to try the other pizza options. read more

OVERALL Quaint donut shop in Santa Fe, NM offering delicious, unique flavors and some indoor dining seats. RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 5 | Service: 5 | Ambiance: 4 | Price: 4 PARKING Minimal free parking in a shared plaza lot. LOCATION/AMBIANCE We stepped into Whoo's Donuts on February 17, 2024 to pick up a dozen to-go. The adobe-style building has a large window out front with its entrance just to the left. An owl is of course the mascot of their sign. This small place is close to two highly popular roads in the state's capital: Cerrillos Road and Saint Francis Drive. When we walked in, we immediately gravitated to the glass display of dwindling offerings because by that point it was about almost noon. THE GRUB My young daughters were dying to try all of the flavors. Since we were on a mini vacation, I opted for the "mixed dozen" for $31. All of their donuts are "fresh from scratch daily." I recommend warming them up which will take a bit longer than normal donuts as these are dense! Our favorites: + Berry round glazed (it's so good!) + Blue corn blueberry lavender (I would get this one again and again) + Blue corn maple pecan + Boston cream + Choco red chile bacon + Chocolate galaxy + Chocolate Long John My coffee fix was already cured by that time, however, they do offer a variety of coffees and espressos. Additionally, they sell breakfast burritos and kolaches. SERVICE Friendly & welcoming! MY FAVORITE PART... The blue corn blueberry lavender donut! NOT SO FAVORITE PART... The prices, but that's everything in Santa Fe. read more

Oh my goodness, this was a solid donut. I stop by on a recent road trip to Denver because you know need a good snack for the road. We arrive to a short line and were able to just check out the different flavors and decide on a few. I went with the blue corn, blueberry lavender, which was amazing. The icing was tart and flavorful and the dough was so unique but very cakey with a blue corn twist. I also did get a second donut, which I believe was a white chocolate pistachio, but I didn't end up eating it because I was full from the first. The shop is small and very casual, but I know that they have breakfast burritos available and of course a selection of coffee drinks. I would absolutely come back. Random note, my friend had an interesting interaction with the barista who asked what we were doing, and when she mention we were on a road trip to Denver he asked if we were going to Massachusetts? Very random interaction that I just had to share. read more
Got a taste of Whoo's donuts at a local coffee shop with the classic blue corn lavender blueberry and immediately set out to find more! And more I found! Whoo's has so many incredible flavors at their storefront and I don't think you can go wrong when choosing what to put in your dozen! read more

Whoo's Donuts in Sante Fe, New Mexico got my attention with the photos and crazy flavor profiles. They have virtually no signage and unless you know the address, you'll blow right by them. They are setback from the road and only a sign stating "donuts" got my attention. The store is small with only worker and he was doing it all. We ordered the blue corn blueberry lavender, cider, and blue corn base with lemon with crushed pistachios. The donuts are cake based and very heavy. I could not discern the blue corn in the taste. The presentation was beautiful and looked delicious. However, I found the donuts to be dry and lacking any real flavor. I was excited to taste the donuts due to the flavor combinations but was highly dissappointed with the final product. I don't eat many sweets for breakfast and was let-down with the results. Obviously, presentation is important and they have nailed this aspect but more attention needs to be focused on flavor and moisture. I hope they can turn this around as we saw them later that morning at the farmer's market. A big disappointment! . read more
While in town, my husband grabbed a few donuts to try. The lavender on a blue corn donut was perfection. The chai donut unfortunately just tasted like a plain glaze. Also grabbed a chili fritter of some type. Again, no flavor but the taste of fried bread. The last one was lemon with pistachios. It was really good. So 2/4 we really liked. The other 2 were not bad though. Just not as flavorful. read more

My favorite donut shop in Santa Fe! I got there 7am since they tend to sell out. My favorite was the blue corn one. So many options and they stayed fresh the next day. The inside is small but cute, enough space to eat your donut and coffee. The staff was also super helpful read more

When I planned a trip to Santa Fe, this was the one thing I had to eat while I was in town. I don't need to tell you that the Blue Corn Blueberry Lavender donut is the star. The rest of the 250+ reviews have done that. What I am here to tell you is, that if you truly love donuts, it's worth checking out to see for yourself. It's pretty unassuming on the outside, but don't let that fool you. The shop is cute with a little personality that also happens to showcase some local art. Nothing like the standard mom & pop shops you might be used to. They've actually got a decent amount of seating for how small the storefront is, too. The thing that really stuck with me, was how my friend was able to bring her dog in and not be told to leave it outside. It could be that she's cute as hell and well-behaved, but it was nice that we could hang out for a minute and enjoy a coffee and a treat. I got the above showstopper donut, a White Chocolate Lemon Pistachio cake donut to share with a friend, and an iced chai. A had a bit of the breakfast burrito my friend got, but it could've used some real salsa instead of the hot sauce that was on hand. I also heard they've got kolaches on the menu, but those were all gone by the time we arrived at 9:30 am. It would've been nice to compare theirs to those I know from TX. All in all, I'm glad I don't live in Santa Fe, otherwise, I would be here at least once a week until I tried every single offering they've got. read more

Their donuts are unique. They have creative recipes. So far my favorite is the corn flour maple pecan and the coconut. You can get the traditional raised too, but you can get those just about anywhere. My family loved the cake chocolate or vanilla. The service was friendly, but quiet. The drinks were good. Space is small and kinda quirky. We'll be back next time. read more
