This was not a good experience and I am so so sad about it. I came for the beautiful lattes and was given the opposite. It at least tasted good however it took over AN HOUR AND A HALF to get my COFFEE!!!!! And over two hours later I still didn't get my arepa I ordered. They brought my friends food but never brought mine and somehow forgot about my food. And my friends finally got their lattes after waiting two hours. It's a small place so it shouldn't take that long. They did give me a refund but I really am very disappointed. It tastes good but not worth the wait. read more

Fighting the afternoon sleepiness I wondered into CFS hoping to grab a vanilla late. Looking at the display I saw a bunch of Colombian pastries and bakery items. "Is this place Colombian?", I asked. Yes! They all replied and we all cracked up in celebration. Had my coffee and a pandebono. They were both delicious. I would've preferred if the pandebono was heated in a toaster vs. a microwave but it was still pretty good. The place is nicely decorated with separate areas to chill and to work. I found this place via a great article about must-try coffee houses in the Orlando area. CFS Coffee is conveniently located off of church street next to the Mad Cow Theatre. We'll get to the coffee in a second, but first, I LOVED the menu here. It was Colombian, so lots of delicious food - like arepas! I got the Colombian Arepa, and it was absolutely yummy. To me, it tasted like a avocado chicken salad in a fresh arepa. They also had freshly baked desserts like chocolate cake, brownies and tiramisu-flavored dishes . Now the coffee: let's just say I was wired the rest of the day after drinking it ... I got the dirty chai iced. It was wonderful, but strong. I like my coffee strong, so I'm not complaining. At the time we went in, it was mid-afternoon and we had the place to ourselves. The interior is very cute. We enjoyed sitting in a corner of the cafe where there were some pillows and benches. Very cozy atmosphere. The restrooms were also clean, which is a plus! I'll definitely keep this on my list of places when I'm in the area. We arrive around 5 and proceeded to pay $15 for parking at a nearby parking garage only to find out the coffee shop wasn't even open although their listing on Google (and on Church Street Market place) both said open till 9 and 7, respectively. read more

I went into this place while taking a study break and left wishing I brought my things to study there. It's a cute little coffee shop with a maximum occupancy of 44. The decor gives me chill Hispanic culture vibes. There's patterned, colorful bags on the wall that seem to be handmade that are for sale. It seems like a great place to do work. Tried this place a few days ago after reading that, while the prices are a little higher, the food is fresh and worth it. I can confirm: both are true. Compared to other downtown eateries, this place more expensive. I got the build your own bowl and a drink and paid around $20 with tip. But, I got a LOT of food in that bowl and the chicken was cooked perfectly. My vegetables were fresh too, something hard to come by around here at times. I went around lunch time (1pm) and they went from being somewhat empty to a line of four or more very quickly. Because the food is fresh-cooked, this can cause a little bit of a wait. When my order took a little longer than expected due to the crowd and a kitchen mixup, they came and told me and even brought me another drink to make up for it! This place is mad cute! It is located right in the heart of downtown. Judging by the name of the coffee shop I was not expecting the flavor that the shop had. The decor inside was very latin inspired and the coffee felt authentic colombian. Most coffee shops nowadays assume that you're taking their drinks to go and give it to you in the paper cup and I really appreciated that I got my macchiatto in a beautiful cup and saucer with a cute face in it. The macchiatto itself was strong and nutty and really packed a punch. I also got a brownie from there. I feel like calling it a brownie does it a disservice, it was so decadent, rich, and melt in your mouth. She decided on the lavender coffee and I opted for a matcha latte With a blueberry muffin. We made herself comfortable in a cozy corner and Our beverages came out shortly. They were decorated so nicely. The barista let us know ahead of time that the oat milk was harder to make a design on but it was still pretty. My teddy bear on the matcha was so cute. My daughters lavender coffee was perfect. The lavender was not overpowering but added a nice subtle hint to the end of the drink. My Mach's latte was so so. It taste like mostly milk. The blueberry muffin was warmed and delicious. This is a great place to grab a hot or cold drink and a small bite. I came on a Saturday at 10am with a simple order: 2 cappuccino's and 2 breakfast sandwiches. It took 20min to get the coffees and we left before the food arrives. This is the worst coffee spot in Orlando. Bad management, poor operation and when we kindly complained 2-3 times, there was no sense of urgency from the staff. If you can't make a simple cappuccino, you may not want to be in the coffee business. There are plenty of great alternatives to this place walking distance downtown. The food is great too but I don't recommend the baked items in the fridge they weren't as fresh as food was. I had an avocado toast, it has a touch of lime which I really liked but my friend didn't. I also tried ham and cheese sandwich the bread was so fresh, I would choose another type of cheese but overall it was yum. For desert I had a chocolate cake and that's the reason I took one star off. I ordered the "create your own omelette" which is perfect for me, because I never seem to like eggs unless I can pick what goes into them! I chose roasted potatoes as my side, instead of the whole wheat toast, and these were like legit full potato slices, not crummy hash browns! I could tell that everything was freshly cooked and the ingredients were clean. The amount of food for under $10 was impressive. The inside has Colombian music playing which made for a calm, positive vibe. I'm not a coffee drinker, but they had tons and tons of options and I hear Colombian coffee is the best, so try it out! Ever since I started working downtown I've been super into finding the best local coffee shops and when I quite frankly accidentally stumbled on this place one afternoon I was so happy! A new place that's super cozy inside and they have REAL food. Some of these cafes with great coffee have nothing but pastries (which is fine but not when I'm starving!!!) so I got a peanut butter toast and it was really good but the toast was a little over cooked so I gave it another go on a different day with a dirty chai and Nutella toast on my last visit. Both good but not the absolute best I've ever had. I will definitely be going back but would love to see a bit of a softer bread!!!! read more
