This location is very clean, modern and fresh decor/style all in one. They have friendly staff especially the older guy who went out of his way to make my visit a rememberable one. I hope Gregory's will come to the Hartford area one day in the near future.

I had the deluxe breakfast sandwich. The sausage was terrible: tasteless, egg was that foamy egg beater stuff, and the cheese was basically velveeta, and they microwaved it so the croissant was a soggy mess. It had no flavor at all (look at my photo) and looked like a used diaper. My wife had the avocado toast which used plastic bag guac and also had no flavor. And to top it off: no plates at all, we were expected to eat from an aluminum foil wrap and a cardboard box. We also had a cappuccino and a lavender cold brew. The former was milky beyond belief, couldn't taste the espresso, and served too hot; the latter was incredibly sweet. We threw them both out. Again, skip this place. It's horrible. Clearly they're cutting costs by serving low quality repeatable food in easy cheap packaging. They don't respect their customers.

The space itself is absolutely stunning and so photogenic. They nailed the rustic, southern French country-style vibe--reclaimed wood, fresh flowers on every single table, and tons of natural light. It truly feels like a warm, cozy "home away from home," which I know is exactly what the founders (a husband-and-wife duo) were aiming for to honor their mothers' kitchens. The food here is consistently great, whether you're sitting down or grabbing take-out. My absolute go-to is the Katie Chicken sandwich. It's herb-roasted chicken, basil aioli, roasted red peppers, arugula, and roasted tomato. You can get it on ciabatta or a baguette, but do yourself a favor and opt for the baguette. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Honestly, any pastry you grab here is going to be amazing. I also love that they offer a few vegan options--the vegan raspberry bar is so good I end up eating one almost every single day. Pair whatever you get with an espresso drink; they serve them in these quintessential blue and white china cups that make you feel like you're sitting in a bistro in the French countryside. A quick tip on parking: There's metered parking on Greenwich Ave (9am-5pm, Mon-Sat) or a public lot right behind the CVS across the street. Definitely download the ParkMobile app and stay on top of your time, because parking enforcement is highly active around here!

I had an oat milk latte, piña colada overnight oats and a cookie. Everything was delicious. I've come here for breakfast and lunch too. Inside, the café is clean, inviting, and has a warm atmosphere that's perfect for grabbing a coffee or catching up with a friend. I ordered a large cold brew with vanilla syrup, and it was easily the highlight of my visit. Smooth, refreshing, and nicely balanced without being overly sweet. I would absolutely order it again. For food, I tried the Breakfast Burrito, although it's really closer to a Crunchwrap than a traditional burrito. It comes with scrambled eggs, bacon, peppers and onions, cheddar cheese, avocado mash, tater tots, and lima crema. On paper, it sounded like a home run. Unfortunately, the execution did not live up to the description. It ended up being extremely greasy, mushy, and surprisingly lacking flavor despite having so many ingredients. I kept expecting each bite to get better, but it never really did. It was one of those dishes that had a lot of potential but just missed the mark. My cold brew and breakfast came to $23.84 with tax, which felt a little expensive for a breakfast wrap and coffee. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the coffee because it was excellent. As for the food, I'd probably try something different next time. If the kitchen can match the quality of the coffee, this place could be a real standout.

I was captivated by the quaint nature of the shop's exterior, which compelled me to step inside and discover more. To my surprise, the atmosphere completely changed upon walking in. The low-lighting, sunken arm-chairs, minimalist decor, and two different kinds of wall paper made me feel as if I was in a hip organic store. One that I would not have expected to be found in Old Greenwich, which made this cafe all the more unique. My boyfriend ordered an Earl Grey tea and it was perfect! He especially liked how the tea bag was a filter, an essential must-have when getting tea. The service was quick and the staff were friendly. I'm pleased to know that Joe's Studio Cafe exists in Old Greenwich, as I can come back in the future to show my friends and family who will appreciate it just as much as I do. :)

They removed the older more visible sign. I wouldn't have purchased anything if I knew since the whole point of the coffee and food was to have a place to work out of the house for an hour or so. I'm told that I can buy one cup of coffee and sit for 4 hours and read a book, I can sit for 4 hours and watch YouTube on my phone or iPad, or I can basically do all manner of reclusive things sitting by myself - but I am not allowed to sit and spend an hour or two writing on my laptop. Only the laptop is anti social, apparently. On days that I work from home, I like to get out of the house for a bit in the morning, enjoy a wonderful Kyoto cold brew and a coffee cake or Cinnamuff, and maybe get a second bite a bit later. And yes, get a bit of work done :) There are plenty of places in the area to go sit for hours and hours of work, so that is never my intent here, but to flat out ban laptops at all hours no matter how empty the store sure seems silly to me. I don't need to spend $15 to take my coffee back home. (I did once try emailing the owner to have a productive discussion on this but was ignored.)
