They got some new office staff, but I think they are being driven by national corporation. I got into an argument about some forms with a customer service representative. They were clearly not following Medicare rules and asking for paperwork after installation rather than before. Now I think they have cut me off. I can't get a hold of anybody and my messages are not being returned. If they don't want to service me, they can at least tell me. My wheelchairs needs repairs and nobody will talk to me.

Our buying experience was dumb and disorganized in a number of ways. 1) weak understanding by NSM…read moreof our motivations to get a high quality wheelchair rapidly while paying a relatively high price (our preference) versus accommodating Medicare reimbursement regulations (which we were willing to disregard) 2) for this we-pay scenario, we were obligated to sign in writing that "no Medicare claim will be made" when actually what NSM intends that to mean is "no Medicare claim will be made by NSM" - quite a different statement. 3) this form could have been signed by me at our fitting appointment but instead was handled two weeks later in a clumsy email necessitating me making a scan, etc. 4) our invoice was printed on a form from the wrong branch office of NSM giving me no handy correct phone number to call, and that other branch office, while they could find our information, called the other NSM office's employees "them" and was puzzled why I called - not a sign of a well-coordinated team. 5) our delivery today of a $2000 Catalyst 5Vx wheelchair to my mother flabbergasted us by the delivery person not coming upstairs to see her in person, despite the encouragement of the Horizon House front desk. She and I were left to our own devices to figure out how to set armrest height, remove the foot rests, decipher the owner's manual, and to peruse a blank delivery form saying that NSM would do all these things for us.

I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately I've been extremely disappointed. One of my meds they told me they do not have in stock and will not be ordering it. When I asked why not or if they'd ever order it they said not many of their patients request it. Other times when I've asked about it they said there is often a shortage because it's being over-prescribed which seems like the opposite issue then no one needing it. Still they never offered to carry it so I had to go to a separate pharmacy just for that med. My other meds became more expensive at Edmonds Pharmacy than the other pharmacies so I ended up transitioning them elsewhere. There is never a notification of meds being ready via text/phone or any other method so sometimes I'd go and they'd not have gotten the order or they had something waiting for me for a long time that I didnt know they filled. Today was the last straw though, I tested positive for Covid after having severe symptoms and wanted to get the prescription for Paxlovid filled nearby but when the provider contacted Edmonds Pharmacy they were told that they don't carry Paxlovid. My provider called me shocked and told me it was unbelievable they dont carry this of all things. Please think about the community you're serving and re-evaluate the decision to carry meds your customers are requesting.

Finally got called to pick up just the wheelchair with out the power assist and sadly the wheelchair was the wrong color, had lots of unwanted add ons and it was damaged and dented in transit to Norco. A new $16,000 wheelchair! I left that wheelchair and headache of a company behind and called the folks at MSHH Donor Closet. They actually answered the phone and answered my questions. The next weekend I went to visit them. I didn't expect to actually find what I needed. I was warmly greeted immediately. Three different volunteers offered to help me. In 15 minutes flat I had a suitable manual wheelchair in a nice brand for only $85.00. A great volunteer who is a physical therapist named Scott even fitted me and adjusted the brakes on my second hand but new to me wheelchair. I took my new wheels and with my husband acting as my power assist I went to the farmers market in Edmonds and to a Mall. Something I could not do all in the same day if I was walking. I have to start the process of getting a wheelchair with a power assist over with a different durable medical equipment supplier but at least now I have a wheelchair to tide me over. I'm not sure what their names are, but whichever ladies work Friday afternoons helped me find scrubs and provided some recommendations for scrubs in the future. One time they accidentally sold me expired allergy medication. I brought it back the next day after realizing this with my receipt and they were apologetic and refunded me. Pharmacies aren't meant to be the pinnacle of the shopping or healthcare experience. This one gets the job done and that's what counts when I have chronic conditions I manage with medications.
