The five stars this time were for the shitake mushroom and soy-clam mash. The spicy one with the red oil in it is the right one. It is similar to the orange sauce at La Victoria in that it makes everything else taste screamingly good. The restaurant served it in a chilled bottle, but I found out later that eating it chilled wasn't the best thing to do. To unlock its full potential, I had to take it home first, to sear it in a hot skillet, to the point where it caramelized and stuck to the bottom. This lifted the already addictive flavors into even higher orbit, like how it works with sizzling black bean sauce with scallions for Dungeness crab or Pacific rockfish. There was something else in the mash which made it special, but it could have been scallops, or dried shrimp maybe, or crab. The three look similar when mashed up.

Food is mediocre at best. With so many great options in downtown i wouldn't recommend going here. Service is pretty good because you will be the only one in the shop. And I like the funky ambiance. Value isnt great portions are small. I have had it twice to give this place a fair chance probably wont be returning

Nice little place with noodles and dish options. It's near the SJ city hall and has an artistic interior. The owner and staff were really interactive and friendly. The lady told me they just opened on the 2nd and there are 3 $6 coupons if you order through their app. There are also self-kiosks and a self-serving area for tissues and utensils. I asked for spicy recommendations which led me to order the beef noodles. There are many seats and you can sit anywhere after ordering. The order came pretty fast and they gave me some free sides(spring rolls and cheese wontons) while I was eating. Those were crispy and good. The beef noodles were mildly spicy and had a nice umami flavor that was light but flavorful. The beef was really tender and there's also bok choy in it. I'll probably go back and try the other items.

Yay!! New restaurant in downtown SJ! Great little place with very friendly and welcoming staff. Has a quirky vibe but it's very clean and well organized. I went with coworkers for a quick lunch. The owner and staff were excited to see us and helped us with ordering from the menu. They gave us free drinks while we waited, which was very nice. The drinks were tasty and refreshing. Our food came out pretty quickly. We ordered the cucumber salad, tofu and mushroom, Pho, and popcorn chicken. We all enjoyed the flavor, freshness and presentation. I loved how delicious the Tofu and Mushroom dish was and it was served in a mason jar. We will definitely come back to try more! They have a promotion that gives you a $6 discount for 3 visits ($18 total).

My beef noodle soup had no taste at all even after I added a lot of chili sauce. The noodle was under cooked and it was not hot when it was served. What a shock! The place is definitely nice and the server was friendly.

    Store being closed

I've been here multiple times and every single time it's been closed. However, it seems like you can order it on Uber and the website. I don't know how you would pick it up though.

This is one of the new kids in downtown SJ so we wanted to go check them out. I'm a huge noodle soup girl so I was excited to see a new noodle spot open up downtown. The woman working was so excited to see us walk in and was so sweet and welcoming. We were sadly the only ones there. We ordered and paid for our food through the self service station. When your food is ready it's brought to your table. We ordered 2 noodle soup dishes: the spiced Laksa and the savory Beijing beef noodle, chicken wings and the golden cheese wontons. We sat at the bar top at the front of the restaurant facing Santa Clara St. It was perfect! The food was delicious! The woman serving us was very nice. I'm so glad that we have a good noodle spot downtown now!

Was finally able to try this little noodle spot out and was pleasantly surprised. Nice ambiance with even better soup. The broth for the spiced laska soup was delicious. Noodles were the right texture and the shrimp and mussels were perfectly cooked. My co worker had the vegetable noodle soup and she too was raving about it. I look forward to going back and trying the other options

They were kind enough to separate the tofu bc of an allergy, the Laksa Noodles are very creamy and filling and the Bejing Beef Noodles were light and the noodles soak a lot of flavor from the soup. The portions are bigger than I expected for the price and very affordable (I could barely finish my bowl). The owner is very kind and accommodating, she alway made sure we were ok and very polite. The inside is very aesthetically pleasing and they have a cute window seat to chill and snack as well.

You can order soup or dry style, then choose between 6 different types of noodles, then finally choose your broth. The possibilities are endless! We went with the classic which was dry, combination noodles (which includes egg noodle and rice noodle), and nam vang (shrimp and pork). This is their most popular order and you can't go wrong! If you order it dry, it comes with a side of soup. My issue with Hu Tieu Nam Vang at other restaurants is that sometimes it's too dry and there's not enough sauce. Not a problem at Leung Noodle! They have a perfect amount of sauce that coat all the noodles really well. Tons of meat too - I'm not even able to finish it! They have sides that you can use like pickled garlic and chili spice. Would recommend getting a side of Chinese donuts too. It pairs really well with the noodles!

Although, I couldn't really tell if they used 2 types of noodles: egg noodles and Hu Tieu because of the dark sauce already mixed at the bottom. Service is a bit stand off ish. Funny how I can understand what they are saying. Prompt service tho. I'd come back if I was craving some Hu Tieu Nam Vang.

Ordering was via QR code on your phone, and there were enough choices to satisfy everyone in our party. The nice thing is you can order extra rice noodles (which are good!) for no extra charge. We arrived around 12:30pm, and were seated immediately at the corner of the communal table. Service was bare minimal but efficient. We ordered via a QR code, and helped ourselves to the water already at the table. There's a self-serve sauce bar near the entrance as well. The restaurant wasn't too big inside and there was a short line outside while we're there. The line went away pretty quickly, though. Food came out within 10 minutes after placing our order. I had their Signature Free Range Chicken Big-bus Miishien Soup for the "crossing the bridge noodles" experience. The broth was piping hot and very flavorful. I put all the fixings and noodles into the broth except the cashew nuts and the chicken, which I put in right before I was about to eat them. The chicken was very lean and tender. I even ate the skin as there's no fat attached to it. I also loved the texture of the noodles. The mushroom was great, just too little of it. I wish they had used corn ribs or another vegetable as the corn kernels were very hard to fish from the broth. While it was a delicious and satisfying bowl of noodles, the "Big-bus" version was a bit overpriced. Our daughter liked her Small Pot Spicy Ground Pork Miishien Soup (Less Spicy), especially how the mini Chinese donuts soaked up the broth. I had a bit of her broth and ground pork, and it was yummy with just a bit of numbing spininess. We both liked their pickles from the sauce bar and at the table. My husband enjoyed his Small Pot Spicy Ground Pork Miishien Soup with free extra miishien as well. After selecting Checkout on Chowbus, payment was done via a staff who came by. I signed up for their rewards program when I ordered, and got 10% off. I would love to come back and try their spicy beef noodles. I noticed a promo sign outside the restaurant for some of their noodle dishes (@$12.99) from Monday to Thursday, during specific hours.
