Parking is available nearby the surrounding streets or the large parking garage, that is within walking distance of 5-7 min to the restaurant itself. Upon entering, the place can noticeably serve 5 tables max, but it is very clean and a homey environment. Serving staff are also very friendly and welcoming. There is no loud music playing, so you can enjoy your meal and have conversations with your table-mates. It's a good spot for dates, friendly gatherings, or to satisfy your craving for Thai food. Prices are reasonable and not that costly. They also do takeout orders as well - online, DoorDash, and phone in, for those that don't want to dine-in or prefer private meals at home. Food (the best part): Serving sizes are fairly big for what you are paying for (~$20-$23). The food is nicely presented, but most importantly, very flavorful, aromatic, and delicious. If you love spiciness, then this is a good meal place for you. With that said, the heat is NOT that intense, and you can still enjoy your meal and taste other ordered dishes and beverages just fine. If I had to put a number to the heat intensity, then it would be a scale of 1- 3 (it really depends on what you order), out of 10, for the first meal I had at this place (explained below). Personally, I love the hint of heat in their food, as it adds an extra layer of flavor and fills you with warmth. Specifics on what items I had: - Pineapple Fried Rice (chose beef as my protein): Nicely tossed curry flavor all around the rice. It is a little spicy, but not that overpowering. The sweetness of the cut pineapple also helps tone the heat down and is a nice addition to the rice. It is also served with cashews on the side of the plate, for added crunch and buttery nuttiness to the dish (it may also be intended, for those who are concerned with allergies, perhaps). It was very delicious and will definitely make you full. - Neeya Sunset Lychee Iced Tea: Refreshing and a hint of sweetness. The lychee flavor shines in this beverage, and there is lychee fruit included on top (4 pieces). I would highly recommend and come back to this drink for sure. - Mango Sticky Rice (what I was craving, when I discovered this place, searching online by chance): Presented beautifully on the plate. The dessert was light with a hint of sweetness, and the mango adds freshness to the dish. I loved it very much, and more than likely order it again in the future. What my friend ordered and let me have a bite and a sip to try: - Fried Chicken Over Fried Rice (he requested the fried chicken to be replaced with beef instead): Also tasted delicious and very flavorful for a traditional fried rice. There a pleasant smokiness from how all the components are tossed and cooked together. According to him, it was a little spicy, but I hardly noticed a difference. My choice in dish was spicer than his, but then again, I only took 1 spoonful of his food. - Butterfly Pea Lemonade: It is a pretty drink to look at, as there is purple layer on top and the yellow lemonade on the bottom. Also, tastes refreshing of citrus and not that sweet. Overall, please do give this a place a try as the experience, lovely staff, and great food are worth it. Protein portion was very small, sauce sickly sweet, and too many carrots, no balancing greens. Astonishingly weird. Could not finish more than 1/3 Fried chicken fried rice: 2/5 dry rice, dry chicken, not particularly flavorful. Only finished since we were hungry, would not ever order again Roti Banana dessert: 2/5 very weird flavor, it wasn't a roti, it was a Chinese green onion pancake with banana and condensed milk. Came here for dinner with two friends on a Thursday evening. We were all hungry from our bike ride. The restaurant is small- with four or five small tables. Many items on the menu were out and marked with a gold sticker- and quite a few dishes I wanted to try were out. Our food came out in a decent amount of time. We all enjoyed our food. Ordered the Chicken Tamarind to-go through Uber Eats, and I was honestly shocked by the portion size. The dish was $20, yet the container had only about 10 pieces of chicken and wasn't even half full. I called the restaurant because I initially wondered if something had gone wrong during delivery--maybe the driver had taken some of the food. Unfortunately, the restaurant confirmed that this is the standard portion for the dish. Sadly, the food itself was just as disappointing. My partner and I were craving Thai food and decided to come here on a Saturday night to check this spot out. Since this is in downtown San Jose, you will likely need to rely on parking lots or nearby street parking. The shop itself does not stand out much while driving, so keep an eye out to make sure you find the right spot. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side but has enough tables to seat around 20 people. When we first walked in, we were immediately greeted and seated right away. (There were two other parties there at the time.) The menu had loads of choices, including appetizers, curries, rice plates, noodle dishes, and desserts. Here are the items my partner and I got, along with our thoughts: * Khao soi with chicken: I have had Khao soi a handful of times, so I was really excited to try this version. They give you a lot of noodles here (an even amount of fried noodles and noodles in the broth). The broth itself was flavorful and bold, but I wish they had given a bit more so it could really soak into everything from top to bottom. The chicken was good but did not stand out compared to other Khao soi dishes I have had. * Honey grilled pork: This was delicious, salty (it would pair really well with rice), and flavorful. They were very generous with the meat portion, and it was tender. It was served with veggies on the side, which helped balance out the saltiness of the pork. This reminded me a lot of a Vietnamese lemongrass pork chop. * Banana roti dessert with condensed milk: This was the best bite of the night. My partner described it as an Asian-style crepe with banana pudding flavoring. It was not too sweet and really wrapped up our meal well. This place was like the only one open on Christmas Day after 9pm near San Jose Diridon. It saved us that night from going hungry (thank you)! We tried a few different things: papaya salad, khao soi, tom yum noodle soup, & the pad thai. I went with my sister & brother-in-law who have spent a lot of time in Thailand and they were unfortunately not too impressed. The pad thai was probably the best thing we had (good for your typical customer, but not for us). The papaya salad wasn't fishy enough haha. The khao soi had rice noodles instead of egg noodles, and didn't have much too it besides the noodles (like no sides/garnishes). The tom yum noodles were also bland and didn't have much included. Overall....the dishes weren't bad, but they didn't have the flavors and colors we were expecting, and presentation was lacking. (Two things that make Thai food special!!) It was also unfortunately very cold inside....but our server was a really nice girl and inside was cute & clean. We originally came for their Mango Sticky Rice and was dissatisfied about the long wait, the portion size and sour mango so I made a 1 star review. However, almost immediately the next day I was reached by Neeya to apologize about the order and wanting to make it up to us. We came back today around the same time but we called ahead to avoid the wait. We ordered a Beef Pad Thai for the exchange as mentioned in the conversation, this time the order was made very fast. Neeya and their team also apologized again in person, they were very nice and welcoming, the exchange was lovely and quick. The Beef Pad Thai is a good size portion, my hubby and I shared but we still have leftovers, flavor and taste is spot on for me since I didn't need more fish sauce or chili. This place is a cute spot and the first time I tried it everything was so good. One thing I've gotten each time is the mango sticky rice but each time the mango has gotten less and less ripe. The sticky rice and sauce is so good but to serve unripe mango is disrespectful, especially at this price point. The markup for mango sticky rice is insane so if you don't have SWEET AND RIPE mangos, especially as we are in summer, don't sell mango sticky rice. read more

I got pork larb (Thai spicy because if it doesn't burn you're not doing it right) and some sticky rice. First I must say the service is amazing. They kept checking in to make sure everything was going well. Also they gave me more peppers when I said it wasn't spicy enough.
