I got jerked around by another tow truck company, then called Century. Century was polite, prompt, affordable, and they just got the job done quickly, safely, courteously and at the price they quoted me on the phone. The other company I had tried first took forever to get to us, then they wanted to add mileage from a half-hour away, the miles to get to us, not just the miles they towed us. Trying to remain optimistic, but it looks like I'll be taking Century Towing to court over damage they inflicted on our brand new (10k mile) car, when it was legally parked (apparently they hired Stevie Wonder as their "spotter"). The operator was so unskilled that he bent the inner tie rod, creating a horrible alignment problem and several codes for to the steering angle sensor being way off. My wife noticed it immediately and noticed them that something was wrong when she picked it up. She was told to have it looked at and let them know. Being brand new and under full warranty, I sent it to the dealer immediately. They confirmed what I found--bent inner tie rod. Not serviceable, required new steering rack assembly, to the tune of $1800 out the door. I had many conversations with Tony (Manager), and he was nice and seemed like he and the owner Joe would remedy the situation. Well... then they stopped answering the phone and returning messages. As a former auto tech and shop owner, I know this stuff very well, and I understand that shit happens. Not once did I get angry or unreasonable, and I took plenty of photos and videos to document the problem, as well as emailed them to Century. So far, they have stepped away from the plate entirely, and are running me to escalate the situation. It's not a massive amount of money, but I will certainly drag them into court over it. Hopefully, they will do the right thing and it can change/delete this review. read more

I was having some computer/drivability issues with my car and had to take it to a local mechanic. I think had to have it towed from there (Franklin Park) to the dealer in Skokie. I called Tom at Century Towing and told him what I needed. He was there within an hour and took it to Skokie. He called to take my payment info and everything was done over the phone. He also talked to the service manager at the dealer and left the receipt in my glovebox. Then he called again before he left to inform me that they were taking my car into the service area. Oh man where do I begin! Century Towing is a great service that has helped me plenty of times over the last few years. Chris and his team are fantastic, nice, professional, courteous and affordable in terms of costs. Century got my cars out of crappy situations, from it breaking down 2 miles from my house, to over 100 miles out in Michigan and bringing it back in one piece with NO DAMAGES. No idea why some are complaining about towing: it's a service that you requested. It costs money to operate a business. And you don't want to be dealing with city or insurance towing - those are the ones to avoid. All in all, I'll forever be grateful for all the help I've been able to receive and will always recommend Century Towing, not to just family and friends, but to other businesses as well. First of Ill start off by saying that I received phenomenal service from Century Towing Service! l lost my keys on vacation and needed to get my vehicle out of the O'Hare parking garage to avoid accumulating a massive parking fee. Fortunately they had a vechicle that could clear the 6' clearance to reach my car. Brian the driver was the greatest! Easy to talk to and patient even as he had to jump through all the security hoops at O'hare in order to get me out of there. I was in a really tight spot 11/26/18 the morning following the snow storm we had. I went on duty at midnight and the following morning when I went to drive away in my trusty old Jeep Cherokee the tire came off the rim. The snow was packed up to the hood of the car on the driver's side and the snow and wind being outta the north pact it in like cement. Long story short never worrying about being stuck I placed it in 4wd rammed it in reverse, about 100 yards away it came off. My other vehicle being 20 miles away my friend Jason gave me Century's # and he said he'd do best he could to get it and take it to Leyden tire for me. So I left it in the train yard in hard to get at area even without the snow, took Uber home and in less than 2 hours even with the horrid driving conditions and all the calls they were dealing with my good old Jeep was safely towed to the tire place and was already being looked at. The price was beyond fair, almost like I didn't hear correctly on the phone at first. So to sum it up extremely friendly, professional and towed my disabled pride and joy with zero damage or problems at a more than fair price. On a day like that that could've EASILY took advantage and charged whatever but they didn't. I hope that'll never happen again but if I ever needed an elite towing service with professional folks they'd be first and only people to call. Thanks Century! read more

Well it finally happened, my oh so amazing 2017 chevy 2500hd that cost me a fortune went kaput. After calling many companies for prices and being told its gonna cost a fortune because it's a big truck which requires a big truck to tow it, I came across Century. They told me they could do it for for way less (score) and when they asked where I wanted it to go I didnt really have a place 100% decided so they also recommended Kings transmission which they tow for which made it even less money (double score). Driver arrived quick and I was a bit sceptical because the flatbed they sent didnt look much bigger then my truck but the driver assured me not to worry and my truck is in good hands. Still sceptical it wouldnt fit he pulled it up with the utmost care like it was his own. Sure as all s**t it fit and perfectly at that. When he finished hooking it up of course my next question was could I get a ride with? And to make a crappy situation alittle less crappy he joked with me saying " I dont give piggy back rides but if you mean in my truck of course I will give you a ride" made me laugh. After all was said and done these guys are quick, knew what they are doing, polite, and oh yeh great pricing (score lol). I had to have my car towed out of parking lot A at O'Hare. The driver was knowledgeable about the ins and outs of pulling a car out of an O'hare garage and they had the right kind of tow truck (it's a lower clearance, apparently) available immediately. The Chicago Police for some reason had closed off the garage that my car was in but the tow driver talked to the guard for a minute and we got in, no problem. We got over to the car and got it out of the lot pretty quickly and had it at my mechanic all the way over in Chicago within an hour. Nobody likes getting their car towed but these guys made sure it was the least stressful part of having a car break down in an O'hare airport parking garage. I'll give them a call again if I ever need a tow truck in their area. read more

This company decided to tow my car while I was in Target next to the Allstate arena, while an event was going on. (Bad idea if you have out of state plates) Call them and get their address and an Uber to give us a ride. I got to the impound lot and paid my dues, walked over to get my car and notice my bumper is half falling off the car. Car was in perfect condition before the tow. read more

Excellent service. Today, I met Chris from Century Towing Service Inc. in Franklin Park. I had the best towing experience for the following reasons: On time, courteous and friendly service (there's a difference). Chris treated me like a neighbor. My car was in a difficult spot in a lot of my apartment complex. My car was disabled as in would not turn on and the little crack of space Chris had to work with was off and not enough space for the jumper cable. Thankfully, Chris didn't give up on me or my car. Like divine intervention someone from one of the other buildings came moved their car and the real work began. I've never witnessed such a graceful tow. I almost forgot I was towing my car. Chris brought a flatbed which is what I truly wanted but couldn't figure out how to request specifically through my insurance app(maybe it was divine intervention because I prayed before Chris arrived --long story just know fasting can make a person feel their emotions). Century Towing towed my car and damaged the front end. I called to get resolution, however, they haven't responded. One of the drivers, I believe it may have been the owner was extremely rude to my husband as he tried to clean snow and ice off the car so I could see. He told him we had to get off the lot after we had made payment. I believe it was an attempt to delay discovery of damage to my vehicle. I hope no one else has their car towed by this company. Well seeing as how this has become a message board for people's opinions and not reviewing actual service I'm going to put my two cents in. First of all, the father was not "delivering pizzas." He was inside the house of worship praying. He wasn't "gone three minutes." He left his special needs child in a car unattended long enough to get the attention of the towing company, whose job it is to monitor and tow cars that are in violation. The driver took photos of the vehicle from the necessary perspectives, as required, prior to hooking the car up the photos do not indicate anyone was in the car. The driver did NOT leave the child anywhere. When he pulled away to an acceptable distance (again as is the process) he stopped to finish securing the vehicle and the child opened the door and ran away. Hmmm, could it be that the father told the child to lay down/hide so that no one would see that he was leaving the child unattended? Nope. Should the father be held accountable for his actions? Absolutely not. Why? Because sheep wouldn't have anything to talk about and it would a boring news story, or most likely, not news at all. For all you know this situation could have saved the child's life. Who knows how long the father would have left him in the car. If the father is such a saint why didn't he do the right thing and take the child with him? I think it's sick that people think that's OK. But those are probably people that leave their kids in the car. I genuinely hope that Yelp considers reviewing these BS posts and takes them down. As a small business owner and someone who has been doing business with Century for years I find it disgusting that people that have never EVER done business with them can do this. But this is all Yelp and Google reviews have become, a place for keyboard vigilantes exact their justice. This company is contracted by the apartment building I live in. As the rules state per my apartment complex, I am to call in vehicles of those who are NOT residents that are parking in the visitor's area. I am compliant. My personal car was having mechanical work done, therefore I had an alternative car and PARKED IN MY ASSIGNED SPOT. I even called this car in to inform the tow company of such. Well why then at 2:30am Monday did CENTURY TOWING WRONGFULLY TAKE MY CAR OUT of my spot and TOW IT AWAY? This is exactly what happened and now I am out of $200!!! When I called to inquire as to WHY THEY TOWED MY CAR, the driver LIED AND SAID HE DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS MY CAR. I pointed out to him that I called it in as well as the car actually being parked in my own spot, so for what reason would they take it. Angelo finally admitted to me that he knew it was my car and remembered me calling it in. When I again asked WHY it was gone, he came up with the excuse that there's no sticker on the back window. I reminded him that since my regular car was in the shop, it has the sticker and we're not allowed to switch stickers between cars. I called apartment management and the Century and basically begged to have my car released. Even though they admitted they shouldn't have TOWED MY CAR, they made me PAY. DISHONEST AND THIRSTY COMPANY FOR MONEY. STAY AWAY FROM CENTURY TOWING AT ALL COSTS. TRUST ME. read more

I was broke down on 290 coming home from work and I called my mechanic shop and asked what should i do. I was told to call this towing service and after placing the call they where there in 15 minutes and the tow truck driver Don was very nice and helpful. he took good care in loading my car and allowed me to ride with him to the repair shop. knowing that Tow trucks cost alot I was prepared to pay 150-200 when he handed me the bill it was $60.00 i was shocked. I needed a tow for my daughters car, at first the pick up was not to be till 11am-ish. A chang in their schedule allow us to get car towed around 9am. I called 3 tow companies, Century was the cheapest with excellent service. Chris that took the call very very helpful and polite. And they decided to send my car for disposal because they felt it was the right thing to do .
