I called on a Tuesday morning to check on pricing for a 2016 Civic's AC recharge. My car was HOT! The dealership wanted $500 and GMAC did it for $160 in the same morning. In and out. Now I am chillin'. Thanks GMAC for a job reasonably and well done...in a timely manner too! Everyone I met was genuine and kind. I sat in the office for a bit and knocked out some work. While there, I witnessed various individuals come in and speak with the lady at the front and one of the owners. Each interaction was positive and (dare I say - in some cases) endearing. My mom has been going to see Haim at Golf Mill Auto Center for years and years and years. As much as she always threw his name at me for repairs, I had always been one of the blind/reluctant ones to Auto Shop servicing outside of my dealership. After 2 years of my extended warranty through the dealership, with so-called "bumper to bumper" coverage, and repairs that were not covered by this warranty, I finally took the leap of faith after my car had been broken into and a window shattered. After receiving quotes from my dealership, from my insurance, and other third party companies, I had decided to reach out to Haim; only Haim. I refused to speak with anyone else. Without telling him about the previous quotes, he gave me a figure that was a fraction of the cost from the other quotes. When I had called, Haim already knew me by first name once I mentioned my mom's name because of stories she had shared with him. I was skeptical at first with the price he quoted me but I did choose his shop to save money and it was necessary to have it fixed ASAP due to weather predictions over the next couple days. The fix was flawless. He used OEM parts with official Mazda licensing and the window worked perfectly. There were no lingering glass pieces in the door or inside the car. Ever since then I've committed to going to Golf Mill Auto Center as my servicing center of choice. They are always friendly there. Haim is always assuring and comes out to meet me to see what's wrong and how I'm doing. If you have a conversation with them, you can tell that all the mechanics genuinely want to help and give top service behind the scenes. The only complaint I have is that their credit card processing doesn't allow to tip on the receipt! I rarely ever carry cash and feel bad that I cannot leave a little bit as a token of my appreciation for their top notch service. read more

They specialize working with Limo companies. I work for several Limo companies and I got golf Mill a lot of business. My air condition went out in my personal car so I went there at 8 o'clock in the morning I asked if they can find The leak he said sure no problem I said how long he says 2 to 3 hours I said OK I will take an Uber home I called them for hours later they said we weren't able to get to your car you would think by me doing the business I did with them and giving them a lot of business they would at least give me call and let me know what their situation was. I told them I have to be somewhere at 2 o'clock I will just pick up my car when I got there they didn't apologize they did not say come back and I will take care of you I will get you in and out of here whenever you come back all he told me is your car is parked in the back and the keys are in it so I paid $50 in Uber's to go back-and-forth to park my car there. AMAZING SERVICE, from some of the nicest people around. Traveling to Chicago from Minnesota I picked up a large nail. I urgently needed a repair so I could get back on the road. The receptionist Inna sensed my immediate needs and spoke with the Haim Shnol, the shop owner to help me out. Within 20 minutes I was back on the road. What could have been a difficult situation was made a breeze due to the employees. Kudos to a great business; Kindness and Competence is a winning combination!!! read more

This place has since moved to Mannheim Rd in Des Plaines but oddly enough, kept their name. I couldn't find a cheaper place to get new tires- $350 for 4 with install and balance. I was in and out on a busy Saturday in an hour and a half. read more

Great service. Great prices. Until I realize you put the wrong size thermostat in my Hyundai Sonata.. so my feet doesn't work properly so let's bypass that because I let that one go. Went in on Monday to check on my car call my car in the side street behind the mechanic shop. All four doors were unlocked. In the rear driver side window was all the way down? Sure my car is in a Mercedes or BMW maybe it's a little beater but it's mine and it's paid for. The law clearly states you have to take some reasonable care of a customer's vehicle when in your possession when I asked why all my doors were open in the window is down, all Slavic had to say was mask mask mask mask mask with a mask on! Yet he had no mask on? And the other owner comes out and is screaming at me pointing to assign if I don't pick up my car by this weekend so charge me a storage fee! Like what are you kidding me? And this guy doesn't have a mask on either. So today I picked up the car and paid for it. And the young girl behind the counter at the European girl, has a mask on and she tells me, I'm sorry I can't be here with you and walks away. Because I don't have a mask on treating me as if I'm disease or something and here comes Slavic the owner with no mask on?! Makes no goddamn sense so next time you embarrass me put on a mask and I'm diabetic with the surf animal and I don't need one, and you don't have one on and the other owner doesn't have one on you damn well better make sure you don't piss off a customer like you pissed me off and that is why I called the health department on your ass! So be careful when you leave your car with this mechanic shop there, tis that no one steals cars around here. And then Slavic asked me to give me my key? He thought that I took my key out of my vehicle? So they leave my doors unlocked the rear window is down and are you telling me they left my f-ing key in my car too? Were you damn well better believe that I made a report with the village of Des Plaines Illinois just in case someone does get their car stolen. Because the first thing they're going to say is, not our problem we lock the doors. So if you got a nice car don't bring it here if you leave it in the street with the doors unlocked until they bring the into the garage at night. read more
