I was test driving a used car and brought it into their shop for a pre-purchase inspection. I…read morearrived 3 minutes before my appointment time, and they were ready for me. It took about an hour, so I waited in the lobby. I was very pleased! Once the inspection was complete, they told me what was up: any signs of rust, scratches, dings, brake pad conditions, test drive results, etc. They also emailed me a report with pictures. To schedule the appointment, I had to email them with the car VIN and dealership info. They emailed back with car history and market value reports. I actually emailed them 3 separate times, because I couldn't decide on what car to buy. Every time, they responded back within 3 business days. On the day of the appointment, I just had to call at least one hour in advance to confirm the appointment. I'm very relieved to know that the car I'm going to purchase is in very good condition. Definitely worth the price for peace of mind. I could tell they enjoy their work. Thanks Duane!

!!!Uber drivers be aware!!!!…read more They sell uber inspection and Lyft inspection. They charge you double and try to make you think if you only do uber inspection that Lyft won't accept the inspection form. The truth is that you only need to do uber inspection and submit the same form on Lyft and it will be accepted. If you don't believe me call uber and ask them if you can submit Lyft inspection form and they will confirm it's valid. Or vice versa you can ask Lyft support if uber inspection form is valid and they will confirm yes! Don't pay for uber inspection AND Lyft. Just pay for one and submit on both platforms. This place is lying and I will be reporting them to the attorney general for deceptive business practices. I disregarded what the guy behind the desk kept on saying and only did the uber inspection and submitted for both uber and Lyft and was approved within 10 minutes proving the employee wrong. The supposed "manager" sitting behind the desk also supported the employees wrong claims. They're just looking for dummies who will agree and pay $40 for both Lyft and uber inspection. TIREkickers at the uber greenlight hub on north ave will also tell you that you can use the same uber inspection form for Lyft. The inspection is the SAME! So why pay for uber inspection AND Lyft inspection. The USA is not the same anymore nothing but thieves and scammers left and this place is in the scammers category.

Many dealerships will send their salespeople to try to sell me on a vehicle that they know might have issues or charge me exorbitant prices based on my perceived ignorance. I'm happy I have Auto Karma to look over any vehicle that I'm interested in. Recently, I had questions about a couple of vehicles that I was interested in. I found Auto Karma through a friend and their agent was able to help me ascertain whether that car was truly worth my money. The process itself was pretty simple. I emailed my contact and he was able to provide me with a detailed report within a few days. I'm happy I consulted Auto Karma before deciding to buy my potential car because it makes me feel secure that I have a second opinion. *And no, I did not end up buying the cars I that I saw.

Recently, the team at Truetech has done some work on my 2010 Ford Rscape and I couldn't be happier with the outcome that they've done. I do quite a bit of work on cars myself and I used to work at Pep Boys so am pretty familiar with…read morehow most shops operate. I normally go to other places when I don't have the tools, time, and or knowledge needed for some things. I will go over my first experience with this shop and why my wife and I go here when needed. I had an issue with an oil pressure sensor leak. I could see it, I know how much the part costs, and I know what needs to be done. However to actually access it would be a pain. I called them up and asked them how much it would cost to replace it. I believe I spoke to Steve and he mentioned generally about 200 or so. Now, that would be the case for many cars, but not this one. So I asked Steve if he could check book time. Book time is basically the amount of time, in a perfect scenario, it should take a mechanic to complete a task. They can then give you an estimate with respect to their labor rates. For example if hourly labor is 150 and book time for say changing a starter is 1h, they can say the labor cost will be $150. Steve looks at book time and is surprised because it's higher than normal about 2x more time and was wondering why. I mentioned, that to access it you have to essentially remove a few other components. He mentions, well, you can bring it in and we can take a look. I was hoping maybe they'd have easier ways of accessing it and mentioned I'm going to think on it a bit. I went under the car again and decided, "Nope. Too much work." I called back and setup an appointment. I drop off the car. I'm not happy with where the car manufacturers' engineers decided to shroud the oil pressure switch and essentially up the replacement cost but it is what it is. Anyway, I get a call back and the price I have to pay is essentially 1h and the part. I head on over and am very surprised. I forget the name of the mechanic (think it started with an M) but I asked them, "I'm surprised that you got it done so fast ... how?!" They mentioned they'd dealt with those cars before as they're common so they rigged up/made a special tool to reach in and do it. That was when I decided TrueTech is a stand up place. They could have charged book time and believe me you, I would've paid it. However they had a seasoned mechanic who knocked it out and passed those savings in their time, as savings in my pocket back to me. This isn't just a good honest mechanic being a good honest mechanic but also the higher ups, the managers and or owners. It seems that is their standard too as they've always been pretty booked which says they're more about doing good work in good time and if they make good headway, you may luck out. You may not, their call :-) but again, book time is perfect world setup, not rusted through, seized on, broken off ... stuff. It is still a good way to understand what you may be looking at aside from the actual part. Since then if and when needed, we go to TrueTech and we've always been happy. P.S. Once they have you in their system (i.e. e-mail / phone), their estimates app, progress, etc and everything is great. Especially if you have a smart phone. I saw where someone mentioned they had difficulty with getting a response and I haven't ran into that. If anyone does run into that, call them and just verify they have the right info.

Their waiting room is nice, clean, and spacious. There are complimentary coffee and beverages, tv and Wi-Fi (and it's fast enough to stream an episode of Game of Thrones). I took my car in for an oil change, but they threw in a car wash and wiped some of the dust off my dash. They also performed a full visual inspection and recommendations for my next service. I felt the price was fair and not once did I feel like they where screwing me over like I sometimes feel at the dealership.
