David Young is a knowledgeable and friendly ASE Certified Technician here also and upon chatting, I could tell he really has a passion for cars. As a helpful Dad's errand, I brought my son's car in here for a brake job while he was out of town on a trip. This particular shop is also part of Costco's network of auto service providers (besides selling and installing tires which Costco does at its own Tire Centers) and that is what directed me here. That and knowing they would be more economical than having a dealer do the brake work. They do good and reliable and guaranteed work and while they are not "cheap", but rather reasonable, you do get a 15% discount based on being a Costco member. You need an authorization number from Costco via their website to get that discount. They do a lot of the usual auto shop services but most of their Costco referral business is admittedly for wheel alignments (which I also had done) which Costco Tire Centers don't do, but often recommends after their tire work. I really liked the professionalism and friendliness I experienced here. Nice written reports with photos are also provided on all of the work btw. Exceptional service and real advocacy…read more Taking a car in for repairs is stressful, and I expected the high costs most people face. That was not my experience at Mazda Autobarn. My 2018 CX-5 had only 55,000 miles, yet repeated evaluations uncovered a cracked head gasket and two more major repairs, work that could have cost me thousands. My service advocate, Katie Wishnoff, treated me as more than a customer and refused to let me face those costs alone. With Service Manager Victorino Maristela, she worked with District Manager Mike Apps and District Service Manager Lisa Kavesh to get my repairs approved by Mazda. In the end, I paid only a fraction of what I expected. Technician Bryan Flores performed all of the repairs and returned my car in excellent condition. Thank you to owner Vivien Fisher and the whole team. Katie is a true asset, and I will gladly recommend Mazda Autobarn to anyone.

It was a decent experience then, but it was an excellent experience now. We even used their service department and never had an issue. We initially were going to buy at a dealership closer to our new home, but they just couldn't match up to what we were looking for and it felt icky. So we went back to Evanston. The lot at the dealership itself is a bit small and doesn't hold all of the cars in inventory. So as we were looking for the perfect vehicle, we realized that the right cars were at their other lot behind Target. So we had them find the 3 we were considering and pull them out for us to check out. The one we went there for missed a few boxes on our wish list, but the new soul red CX70 with the moonroof was exactly what we were after. Lastly, was the financing, we actually went in expecting to buy at 4.9 percent and they ended up financing at 1.9 percent. That value is really hard to find! The price was right, the interest rate was right, and the car was right. This has been a pleasure.

I explained all this to the folks behind the counter ( I had been in this shop before), and we made an appointment, they did the inspections, and at the end of the day, I got my results over the phone, and picked up my car. Bottom line was that my car needed WAY too much work to justify repairing it. My wife and I decided to get a new car, which we did. I was happy to pay the fee for the inspections. I was particularly pleased that the man who gave me the information, was willing to explain things within my level of experience and knowledge. Car shopping is not always fun.  Seeing what has changed, all the new offerings and technology are…read morethe highlight.  Negotiating and haggling over money is not.  My most recent experience with Mo at Patrick Volvo involved nothing but the good parts of the car-buying experience.  After reaching out to Patrick Volvo I was connected with Mo, who was helpful, attentive, and professional.  We emailed back and forth and spoke over the phone a few times.  We were able to come to a deal that blew all of the other dealerships I'd been talking to out of the water (I mean thousands of dollars)!  The day I arrived to pick up my new Volvo XC60 Recharge, he had it up front and ready to go.  We spent about 2 hours at the dealership which was a breeze compared to our other car-buying experiences.  We were even able to hammer out some last-minute changes to the numbers thanks to Mo and Justin.  I can't say enough just how wonderful this car-buying experience was.  This is our third XC60 and this is the only time we have walked out of the dealership not questioning whether we did the right thing and wondering if they got over on us.  Everything was fair, transparent, and most of all the math was mathing!  We have been loyal Volvo customers because we love our car. After finding duct tape hanging from my suv, I discovered a large part under the car behind driver's side wheel was covered in duct tape. I notified Tola and he forwarded info to Used Car Manager, who has never called me back to resolve. I took it to a third party mechanic who removed the duct tape, inspected and installed two clips to secure part properly. They either didn't inspect the suv before putting it up for sale or they did and they put the duct tape on the undercarriage cover. Either way it undermines my confidence in my purchase. If you can, get your car inspected before purchasing from them.
