I recently went to Casey Automotive to get my car's breaks replaced. My husband often gets his car serviced here, but I was equally blown away! With a job that sometimes has me traveling around the burbs, my breaks were in need of replacement. I called in the morning and they were able to fit my car in and finish it same day! We had a $120 off coupon that expired end of Feb but they still acknowledged it. It was easy for them to send me an estimate to my phone, texts when my car was ready for pick up, and allowed payment via text link or in person. I have a 2008 Cadillac CTS4 which was having a problem with its brakes. Other than the brake problem it is in great operating condition because of my vigilante maintenance of it by the book. I went to my Cadillac Dealer; they were able to replicate the brake problem but said my entire brake system had to be replaced which was almost as much as the fair market value of my vehicle. I went to another mechanic down the street from me and he said that I needed a part that was unavailable for my vehicle anywhere in the US at that I should walk away from the vehicle. I then went to Casey Automotive in Streamwood and had Mike Rempala and Ole Garcia as my service advisors. Their team did a diagnostic and found that there was a short in the electrical system that was part of the braking system and fixed that problem at a very reasonable cost. The courtesy, knowledge and professionalism that I experienced from the team at Casey Automotive saved me from having to junk my car and purchasing a new one. They literally saved me from having to spend tens of thousands or dollars on an new car! Credit where credit is due. Having a lot of service shops to go too, this place is the best!! Had my Jeep serviced for front brakes and oil change. Had left Casey's and had heard a noise. Ole, which is 100% great customer service, as are the rest of crew, advised me to come back to have it checked. Not tomorrow next week but now. That is great! Most places I have delt with have you come back tomorrow next week etc. Here, they care. And you can feel that. When I got there they took my vehicle right in, even though they were very busy. Took care of the issue and I was on my way. Went to Casey after my car broke down while driving. They suggested $400 of a tune up and replacing parts that ended up not fixing the issue. My car broke down on the way home. Had to pay another $200+ after they finally diagnosed and fixed the real problem. Go elsewhere. read more

Had to drop my car off after hours, and that process was super easy, they have a well lit area for you to fill out the paperwork and it was very seamless. Fast forward to this morning, I called them asking what the process was and the gentleman was very helpful and explained everything. I ended up needing new tires which was completed in a timely manner. After picking up the car everything was fine until I started it up again and heard weird noises from my back tire. Gave Casey's a call and they had me bring it back; and not only fixed the issue (that the tow truck bent a bar by my wheel) they were so kind and helpful. Excellent service! I brought in my car for a grinding noise in my wheel. They diagnosed the problem, saw that it was any easy fix and called me to pick it up just 2 hours later. When they explained the problem to me they said it was not a big deal and they said it was fixed with no charge! And here I was ready to hand over hundreds of dollars. I'm sure if I brought my car to any other place they would have charged me at least $100 to diagnose the problem. Very competent, honest and effective people here. Held the car for a week since I had to go out of town, and they're more than accommodating. I wish there was an option of zero star but anyways, my car was not passing the emission test so I took it to them to have a look and the highly uncourteous staff instead of giving me the estimate, they suggested to replace the battery and drive the car around for a while it will remove all the codes and it will be all fixed and will pass the emission test, and the battery they installed was over $100 - I followed their instructions and it never worked - It failed the test again. It was so stupid of me to listen to them - they could help me if they wanted to but they ripped me off by slapping a new battery which was not the solution for sure. read more

This review is long overdue. I've been taking my car there for 10 years and each time they have been amazing. If they can't figure out what is wrong in the first place, they will keep on trying. Example. Lately my calipers have been sticking. They ended up replacing each caliper, rotor, brake pad. Few months to a year later, they stuck again. Different ones at different times. They continued to stand behind their warranty and replace without charge. Also they continued to look for the problem. They are very patient and take time to explain things to you. Basic oil change to anything else. Go to them. They've done my water pump, evap system, brake lines, and other things. Only tip I can give you is ask if they can do the job with other cheaper parts. They are usually the same but they might knock of $20-$50. Especially if you have an older car. The worst they can do is say no. Sure you might "know a guy" but get to know these guys. I'm a do it my selfer. I can fix damn near anything on a car. I'm lazy now. And I really trust this guys. read more

Long story short I thought I needed an alignment on my 2002 Saturn SL-1. I put a request out via Yelp for a quote and Casey Automotive came back at $79.95. Tremendously cheaper than others at $129+. I made the appointment and while there they showed me the pulling and shaking from my steering wheel was from the tire belt raising from the tire. Told me any next drive anytime I could be driving and the tire would/could just shred off. Like the Semi's you see the tire shreds on the highway. Whew! So I purchased two tires on the spot, great deal, and they discounted the alignment to $49 since I was buying the two tires. If I could have afforded to get all 4 it would have gone down to $29 or $39. Great staff there. Professional, courteous, friendly. I worked with Mike Caldwell who was great. He showed me the tires while the car was raised, knew I had to get my kids shortly, sped everything up, and more. Nice waiting room too. Restaurant next door too for food if hungry while you wait. I purchased an older vehicle less than a week ago, unfortunately, my car died at an intersection 2 days after buying it. I found myself needing a good, honest mechanic. I can honestly say from the moment I walked in, to the moment I left, I was treated with respect and the staff was extremely friendly. 1st diagnostic inspection didn't show anything, so they had to dig deeper. Once they determined what needed to be done, I was informed and updated on everything. I did need some suspension work, which ended up being more expensive than I planned for, but they have reasonable pricing! They weren't pushy, but were upfront and honest with what needed to be done. My car decided to give me trouble one day and wasn't running smoothly. Check engine light was flashing and my traction control lights came on as well. Decided to drop it off at Casey's based on all the great reviews and how close it was to me. Ivan took care of me throughout the whole process. Called back to give me a full explanation of what was wrong and what he was gonna do to fix it. Once I gave them the green light, it took three days till I got my car back ( replaced an ignition coil, valve cover gasket, vacuum pump, timing cover gasket &/or seal, and an oil change). I had brought in a 2001 Toyota Avalon for some repairs, and was not entirely satisfied due to the cost and some misunderstanding based on the items that needed to be fixed to clear the codes. Olly, the manager, called me to bring in the vehicle. The agents in the office were very nice, friendly and understanding. They took my vehicle in, treated me like a VIP, kept in touch to give me feedback on the status of the repairs, and made sure my vehicle was emissions ready. Compared prices for tires with at least 5 other companies including the ones labeled as being "super cheap" through a friend I came here. New tires along with alignment still came out $35 cheaper each than all their competition. Olie, hope I spelled that right, was real nice and these guys run a very tight ship. I have sat here and seen them interact with their customers, and from what I have seen they do everything they can to make their customers happy. Worth the wait, well worth the time and the money... I used this app to give this auto care repair a try and I was AMAZED at the excellent attentive service and huge value compared to dealing with the actual place I purchased my car. I will never go back to Don McCue ...here I thought because I purchase 2 cars from them that I would be treated as a 'comeback' customer ...not the case..you are merely a number there and at most dealerships when they actually get that sale and car out the door. I'm just so sad that I didn't give this new place an earlier chance. First time ever serviced here. Looked at some review s and decided to try them out. I already new what I needed done (shocks & struts) due to Chicago not forgiving pot holes! I've gotten oil changes done here going on a year now, the staff is always very nice and informative. I just got a few things done today including a brake job, oil change, and they fixed a loose bearing. They called me as soon as they were finished, which was pretty quickly.
