My family and I were referred to this auto repair shop from a friend of ours. I was very pleased with the repairs that were performed on my car. The customer service was great. They are very professional and I wouldn't hesitate to go there again for my future needs. I have been told that they do great body work better than central auto body ! Not to mention, they are reasonably priced. read more

I've been a customer of Stan's for many years over several vehicles. Repairs were priced fairly and I knew that the job would be done right - I never needed to follow up on a job. read more

Hello Fez and especially you Dave.Jerry of the Chicago Ball Busters, which are friends of ours from Lombard and the Back to the '50s St. Paul car shows said I should look you all up to finish fixing up "Grumpy's Ride". Well I broke it bad and it had to be rent back and rewelded back together.Dave did a great job on realigning back where it should have been and corrected the front end ride height so I could put a jack under it once more AS WE WAITED.That alone was a miricle in more ways than one especially after I couldn't even find anyone to look at it both before and after the front end repairs were made. Now Grumpy's Ride is better than it ever was way back in 2009 when we first got it.Both Mrs. and Mr. Grumpy want to thank Jerry and everyone at Stan's Service, especially Dave that Jerry said I should talk to,for bringing our only toy we have left to have fun with in our old age.We were treated so nice by all on you and we will never forget this.John "Grumpy" and Elaine "Snow White". read more

Stan's is a local gem. In a world where a good, honest mechanic seems to be the exception and not the rule - Stan's offers reliable repairs, at a fair price. Fez, the shop manager, always communicates well, and gives a thorough breakdown of the work that is needed to be done, as well as any additional findings they may uncover upon inspection. I have been coming here since moving to the area, and they will continue to have my business for years to come. They offer complimentary loaners as an added bonus! read more

Stan's Service is the only place I would now go with my car. They are always honest and vey prompt in responding to any requests. Also it is sometimes hard to find a place that does not treat a woman as if we have no clue about cars, but they are so respectful. Fez is just great, makes you feel like a friend instead of just a customer. read more

I love my cars and I love the expert service I receive when I bring my car to Stan's service station. My new car had reached the 6k mile mark and needed its oil change, fez had me in the shop very promptly and saved me hours of sitting at my local Subaru dealer. Absolutely the best service and I'm very appreciative of their timelinesses and cleanliness. They treat my car as if it was their own, that's what keeps me coming back to Stan's service station. read more

Took my generator here based on the recommendation of a friend. They did quick work tuning it up and getting it back and running for a relatively low cost. Will try them out for my auto next. read more

Been doing business with Stan's for 30 years and have never had a bad experience in this time. There is no other place to bring your car or truck for repairs then this place. Even if you live 10 miles from their shop. Kudos to Dave, Stan, Fez, Brian and all of their Techs. 5 Stars. read more

I have been a Stans customer for several years. During this time Stan's has maintained both of my family cars and my 1969 MGB. His work has always been the very best, and his prices are very competitive. When the one and only repair that did not go as expedited, Stan's immediately resolved the problem without the typical baloney I typically received from other service providers. I highly recommend this Stan's and will never take any of my vehicles to anyone else. read more

I have never had doubts about the complete honesty in my dealings with Stan's service. Have taken my cars there for decades once out of warranty and they have been able to repair what ever needed to be done. In a few cases if something was not right with the repair it was done over at no charge even months later. I was so fed up with the Honda dealers total rip off attitude and charges just to tell me what a light bulb in the heater controls would cost to repair that I will not buy another car from them. Stan gave me a price up front at no charge and replaced the bulb no problem. It is rare to find a competent and honest repair service these days. read more

I feel ripped off. I brought my infiniti there to get a break light switch replaced. The guy looked at it and 10 minutes later told me the part needed to be replaced and that it would take about 30 minutes. I was pretty happy because I've waited longer for oil changes. Here is what happened: The first HOUR they were busy just finding and ordering the part for my car. The last 45 minutes I noticed a guy was finally working on my car. The worst part of it was that when I got the bill, they charged me 70 dollars worth of labor just to check and diagnose the break light problem which I'm pretty sure took exactly 10 minutes. The prices they charged for labor and parts for the work actually done I agree with but 70 dollars just to tell me what the problem is?! They also left my keys, my steering wheel, and my shifter greasy. Not going back. read more

I've had my diesel Ford Excursion go down on me twice in the last six months. Stan's is a diesel shop and Chris is very knowledgeable about Powerstroke diesels. I always felt I got the honest truth from him and I'm a world-class skeptic. My hope is my truck doesn't break for the next 500,000 miles. If it does, it's worth taking it to Stan's. read more

I'm newer to the area and have found a shop I'll keep going back! I highly recommend Fez and the guys are great! Had a ball joint replaced done very quickly! Keep in contact with updates. At a great price & using their parts comes with a 18month/18,000mile guaranteed! Had my ac fail a few months later and they got me in ASAP and back on the road! A/C is colder than ever! read more

Dave and his team always do great work and explain everything they are doing. Our family has been taking our cars here for years.

Stay away from this place. They charge 100$ which is a hour to scan your car most of the time it take 10 min to find out what's wrong. Then if the repair is simple and only takes 20min to do they round it up to a hour and leave your car in the bay to Pretend that it's taken the full hour. So for a 20min repair you paying labor time for 2 hours. They Have no care of the environment ether! If you go to Stan's for 250$ he will take your car to the Emissions test for you and pass your car if it's not able to pass it by yourself because of a check engine light or what ever. Plus all his technicians are not certified and there is no alcohol or drug test here you don't even have to have A drivers license to work here. Can't trust these guys. He also pay people for good revie read more

I've been going to Stans for over 23years because they are the most honest mechanics I know of. They've even done some work for no charge. Stan isn't there as much anymore so ask for Dave or Fez. Reasonable prices and honest guys. read more

On Friday night, my car (2017 Kia Soul) ran over a small piece of metal on Lake Street in Roselle. Unfortunately, it completely destroyed and blew out my tire. Luckily, this happened right by a gas station. I pulled into the gas station, but unfortunately, they only sold gas and didn't have any mechanics/repairs at the gas station. So they told me about a place a couple doors down that does do auto repair work and get this: They were just about to close and for some miraculous reason they just happened to have a used tire that would fit my car!!!! The guy that worked there drove me back to my car, took off my old tire and while I waited at my car, he drove back to his station with my destroyed tire. He came back to me within 10 minutes with a newly mounted tire and put it on my car and I was good to go!!! He didn't charge me very much and he was super professional/kind about the whole experience! I highly recommend them: Stan's Service Station, 25 W 241 Lake St., Roselle, IL. 60172. I was referred by a co worker who is a happy customer. We were going on a trip and wanted to make sure everything was okay. I also was at 100K miles and was concerned about some trans noises. He took care of everything, got my opinion on what to do with the trans fluids, and 6 years later, all is still great with the car. I felt comfortable that he understood what was going on with the trans, and how to get it well, and didn't try to over charge or find more work than was necessary. read more

I've taken my cars to Stan's Service Station several times over the past few years for service ranging from an oil change to engine repair. Dave has always taken good care of me and been quite upfront on his evaluation and repair options. I had a minor problem with one repair (the part not the installation) and they stood behind their work and made it right for no charge, as I would expect a good business to do. I'll continue to go there for mechanical work and recommend them to my friends. read more

Well this is the second time I have used this service station. And I have to say that again I am extremely pleased! The dealership I took my truck to said I needed one front hub wheel bearing and was stating it was going to be about $800.00 to replace it. Took it to Stans and dropped it off and told them what I was told. They called after lunch that day said both front bearings had to be replace and said the price was $802.27! Well I had them do the work and can't be happier with the outcome! If you need anything done no not hesitate to go here! read more

I would recommend Stan's to anyone I know! They are refreshingly honest and will not come up with 10 things that you don't need like Fire-bone and they have very reasonable prices! I have been to Stan's twice now, and both times he could have hit me hard like the other two places I called, and both times they were honest and inexpensive! Keep it up Stan!!! Ken D. read more
