Most honest mechanic I have ever found I even asked him to look over newer car I bought would have cost 40. He let me know he could but he my car with it's very low miles & car fax showing all oil changes done at dealer should be just fine & it is, saved me 40. Even my husband was surprised at how reasonable the bill to fix my daughters car & finishes on time, great honest work , quality parts I Will only go to Jims. His receptionist is on the ball too & very polite. Nice waiting room. Just great experience all the way around !! R. Urbanek Bartlett, IL read more

Brought my Honda to Jim's for its 75K service. I just moved to Roselle and realized it wasn't feasible to visit the family-owned auto repair I had relied on in Chicago for years. I read many yelp reviews and Jim's was also recommended in the Roselle/Bloomingdale Facebook group. I am so happy to have found Jim's Reliable Auto Repair. Jim is honest, doesn't oversell, prices are fair, and he is a nice person to deal with. My partner brought the car in and was also impressed. Will definitely return for additional maintenance. Thanks, Jim! read more

Jim is great and he's close to my work. Sometimes I wander off and try to find someone close to home (so I can go on weekends) but I keep coming back to Jim's because the other guys always screw me over. Last time, the other guy made me spend almost $500, come back three times and the problem kept coming back. The check engine light went off immediately. I called the other guy to ask WTF and the other guy said he didn't have "sophisticated" enough technology to recognize the error code. I mean... don't try to "guess" and make me spend money if you don't know the problem! I took it to Jim's ONCE and he figured out the problem right away and fixed it. The other guy even had the nerve to call me and ask what the problem was! Jim's always friendly and upfront. Sometimes little things aren't quite right but I point it out to Jim and he's always corrected it without charge. read more

I brought in my car because it was making a noise and I was told I needed tires. So I paid for 2 and came back for the other 2 because I couldn't afford to get all 4 as a single parent. I left the lot with 4 new tires and my car was louder. I was told the noise was my wheel bearing and that it got loud overnight from WATER. read more

Jimmy is the best! Super nice guy and a true expert. He's honest and fair and gets to my car quickly. I highly recommend his shop.

After Wickstroms quoted me $2000.00 to fix my bearings Jim's came in at $600.00. He fixed the problem and charged a quarter of what rip off Wickstroms wanted. He has all of our business now! Excellent shop! read more

Best guy there is no doubt about it. A real true family man and does what he does pure of heart and to help others. As a single young mom I have never ever felt more relieved knowing I had Jim to call whenever my vehicle had an issue. No matter what it was, Jim got it done and within reason, pricing is no issue EVER and he gets your vehicle done within a day-two. He's typically always busy and full but never too busy or full to turn you down. He deserves 10/10 stars seriously. I told him I was quoted 300 for my starter and he damn near choked on the phone, he said "yeah.. no, 150 OTD". You bet I towed my car over and it was ready the next day. God bless this man and everyone who works here. Thank you all read more

Truly an honest mechanic once again. My husband brought his car and thinking it was the transmission, but Jim's mechanics took their time looking it over and figured out it was electrical. Other auto repair shops we've been to in the past, would have said it was the transmission and would have replaced it unnecessarily. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Jim so much, this would have put a huge damper on Christmas. Happy holidays to you and all your employees. read more

Jim was awesome!! I called him up explained as best that I could the issue with my car. Jim's Reliable Auto has come to our rescue twice and has far exceeded expectations on both occasions. We are from St Louis and my recent graduate son started a new job in Roselle, Il. He has had emergency repair situations twice since June. I found Jim's by searching online and we feel very lucky that Jims made the repairs quickly and honestly. With no family in Chicago to help with rides or loaner vehicles, I can't express enough how important an honest, reasonable car repair company is. Thank you Jims for, once again, coming to the rescue. I wish I could give you 10 stars! read more

What a reliable, trustworthy, honest, auto repair shop. I took my car to the dealership for an oil change and was told I needed some work done to my vehicle because the power steering and the oil were leaking. All in all, it was going to cost me approximately $6,000. My husband and I decided to get a second opinion because $6,000 was a lot of money. Our search led us to Jim's Reliable Auto. He and the front desk lady were very nice and professional. After receiving their quote, it took us about three weeks (to wrap my mind around paying such a huge amount, especially during the holiday) to drop off my car. Five days later, I got a call letting me know that my car was ready for pick up and can you believe I was told that my oil wasn't leaking. The only problem was my power steering fluid. Cost went from 6k to $1500. This shop has my business and my family will forever be grateful. God bless you all. read more

I have to thank my son for sending me here. I recently moved to this area and had a problem with a loose catalytic shield. I originally set up an appointment with Honda in Schaumburg, IL. The wanted to charge me $300, even though I told them it was just the shield. My Honda dealer said they would put a clamp on for $20. Jim didn't charge me anything, plus he changed out my old license plates for my new...also no charge. I was there all of 30 minutes. The receptionist was nice also, very professional. read more

I've been going to Jim for 8 years. I'm very lucky to have him as my mechanic. I consistently go to my dealer to get a check up and they give me an outrageous bill. I take it to Jim and cuts it in half if not more. He's honest and teaches you about your car. He's kind, insightful and the type of guy you love to give your business to.
