I replaced it and it persisted so I bring it here. They took a look at it and let me know my car needed a valve cover replacement, new spark plugs, and to replace the sensor I had just replaced. There might have been more but this was almost a year ago so I don't exactly remember everything we did. Fine, I trust them because this place has been highly reviewed and it seemed very professional. So I spent about $1500 on repairs. Maybe a week later the same code comes on so I'm confused. I take it back to them and it takes days for them to get to the car because their "diagnostic tech" is really busy. Fine. So they call me and tell me that the code I'm getting is because my timing chain is fucked and it's going to cost $4500 to fix it... Which I don't have. So I sit on it for a few days while I see if I can come up with the money or what I'm going to do, before they threaten to charge me a storage fee for having my car with them. Fine, I understand they don't have all the space in the world. So I get to the shop pay their $150 diagnostic fee and try to take the car. The battery is dead. They gave me a jump and I drove home but there was no check engine light. I found it weird and thought it was a fluke. Long story short I replaced the battery, battery cable, oil, alternator and the car is just fine. I've been driving it for almost 8 months. I put in maybe $500 in parts. While I am trying to figure out what the problem is I message them and ask if they charged the battery, or if the battery died on them at all. No answer despite multiple messages. And this is what bothers me you have no problem messaging me multiple times to threaten me with fees but can't respond to one simple message. My point is this shop is shady. They wanted to upsell me on expensive repairs I didn't need. Now I'm not even sure if I truly needed those $1500 in repairs the first time. How do I know it was an upsell? The guy who gave me my car back said, "we just go based on what the scanner says." And that's when I knew this shop sucked. Why would I be charged a ridiculous $150 fee for you to scan my car? Personally that doesn't seem like diagnostic work (at least a proper one). I feel like some of the things I discovered on my own an experienced mechanic would have found. The car had an electrical problem. In between those two visits I took another car to them to see if they could do a transmission drain and fill. I put that in the appointment request and I made the appointment days in advance. When I get there they say they can't work on the car because it has a lot of miles on it, which again is fine but why are you making me waste my time and bring my car to you if you aren't going to work on it. Do you not have someone who checks the following days' appointments? Why does your website allow me to make the appointment if it doesn't meet your shops criteria. All in all I say stay away and find a place with honest mechanics.

Perhaps, needing service on repairs and parts that I have already paid for. On July of 2025, I took my car to a shop because my car was making noises...brakes, tires and so on needed to be replaced, I paid for that. Then, as I was driving my car it came to a complete stop. I was unable to move because it wouldn't turn on, my fuel pumps were the problem. Paid to have those replaced at the same shop that I trusted. On March of this year, 2026, I'm at Target and my car failed to turn on. I towed it to the same shop and they "repaired and replaced my non-working fuel pumps" because it was still under warranty. My car is acting up, possibly fuel pumps again. This would be the third time in a year dealing with the same problem. Long story short, brought it to G & J Auto Repair Shop to have George inspect it because I feel that he is honest. Spoke to him in March of this year when my fuel pumps gave out again. I had warranty and so I decided to take it back to old shop. He has been understanding, has checked my electrical concerns,inspected the fuel pumps and has taken the time to inspect my overall car, so that I can have a peace of mind! Another mechanic changed the spark plugs/coils but the code was still popping up. G&J was able to diagnose that I had a bad vacuum hose. They replaced it, and the code was cleared. For AC repair, George quoted me on the cost for AC compressor and fan replacement (parts & labor). Pricing was very good. Next day they had my car ready for me to hit the road. I pulled off the lot with my AC blasting ice cold, engine codes cleared, and car running Great! So thankful for George and team taking care of me. He explained to me in detail that brake fluid should not be topped off. I had no idea, and apparently, my dad didn't know either, and we had topped it off because it was low. I paid for what I was told were repairs and replacement parts. After getting my vehicle back, l took it to another repair shop for a second opinion. I was informed that some of the parts appeared not to be new and that at least one part installed was the wrong size. I was also told the vehicle was not safe to drive, despite being told by this shop that it was ready. Communication throughout the process was extremely poor. The owner rarely communicated with me, frequently left my phone calls unanswered, and made it very difficult to get updates on my vehicle or have my questions addressed. Based on my experience, I found the owner's statements to be unreliable, and I no longer trusted what I was being told. I left feeling misled and extremely disappointed how my vehicle and my concerns were handled. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the work, the lack of communication, and the overall professionalism. I have completely lost trust in this business and would never return. I would give zero stars if that were an option
