Went here for a late lunch and thought the atmosphere was good. My husband and I ordered burgers that were soaked in grease.(grease dripping off the bun). I should have asked for another bun, but we were with a group and I figured it wasn't worth it. The sad part is that the burger and toppings tasted great, but the soggy bun coated in grease took away from the flavor and texture. It also seemed really slow for a burger place. Hopefully they can iron out and refine these issues as it seems like a promising place. read more

Best hamburger I've had in a while. Sides excellent. I had sautéed asparagus, husband had onion rings. Will have to come back and try other selections. read more

Showed up around 4:00 or so on a Saturday. Many tables filled but we got right in. Blake was a great server. Drinks stayed full, went through the menu and was on top of things. Had the spinach artichoke dip and it was very good. Big portion so keep that in mind! I had the "oh no you didn't" burger. It was so good and so fresh! Great flavor! Keep in mind the kale salad is huge and super delicious! Will certainly be back and highly recommend! read more

Waiter was OK. But kitchen was absurdly slow for only having ordered burgers and cheese curds.

Love the atmosphere! Foos and drinks have always been great and what we expected when we ordered. We frequent this place often.

We have been to Central Standard a handful of times and have enjoyed the food and drinks on each occasion. My boyfriend and I stopped in today to to eat, drink and watch football. As we walked in we found the hostess on the phone. After a couple minutes she apologize and asked us to seat ourselves anywhere (the restaurant was mostly empty). We picked a table by the bar and a waitress came by, placed menus on the table and proceeded to scold us to follow their "policy" of being seated by the hostess rather than seat yourself. We explained the situation with the hostess and the waitress continued to demean us which led us to just getting up and leaving. I am not one to complain nor leave a restaurant especially as we are frequent visitors of central standard, but after this experience we will not be returning. read more

Amazing product. Not a huge place. Orders come out faster. Quality outdoor seating. Many televisions. Awesome shakes. A little overpriced

Was very busy when I arrived, however I was patient. Very cool vibe and great wait staff. On this evening, Stephanie filled me in on all the great local beers. Being from out of town, I was quickly made to feel at home. Angela - in the height of the busy time acknowledged me and promptly advised she would be helping me as soon as she could. This is a simple manner, one that typically gets missed. I appreciate her for doing this. Now, being well informed about all their great food and happy hour specials.... I will be back while in town for business. Thank you Central Standard! Cheers to all. Oh, and the Seoul burger was very good too. read more

Burger had a hard, stale bun. French fries were soggy for all at the table. Waiters kept encouraging us to leave, but hadn't taken the bill and CC yet. Staff was friendly. read more

We were visiting from out of town and were told it was a good burger place. For the three of us, the bill (with no bar) was over $40. Generous portion of fries that were too salty. The worst part of the experience was the amount of flies in the restaurant. Average food with average service. Until the flies are gone, we will remain away. read more

Thursday night is 1/2 price bottles of wine. The Superfecta Meritage is amazing!!! And the price is hard to beat. Sat at the bar and the service was impeccable. Also had the pulled pork nachos...they melted in my mouth. Can't wait to come back for the lobster grilled cheese. Ask your waiter what is good...they will steer you in the right direction! This gem of a place has been long over due!! read more

I thought the interior decor was very well thought out, and whoever designed it obviously put a lot of effort into it. I've seen many places like this on my adventures throughout the US, but rarely in the Quad Cities, so that's a nice change of pace for this area. I had the "What you talkin bout Willis" Burger. I had high hopes, but it was a bit overly greasy and the patty itself had little flavor. The garnishes made up for it, however, it wasn't as spicy as the description made it out to be, which was a little disappointing. The fries were crispy and good, no complaints there. I ordered an overly pricy beer, but that's normal for "gastro pub ish" restaurants such as this one. My wife had the standard and a martini, I think she enjoyed both. Her martini was very pricy, but strong, which is good, got her money's worth at least. The staff was friendly and attentive. I'd probably give this place another shot. read more

Central Standard - "What you talkin bout Willis" Burger - Burgers Near Me - Bettendorf, Iowa

FANTASTIC food. Their burgers are no joke. Outdoor patio is nice. Great drink menu selection.

Fabulous food! Creative and really extraordinary. Everything on the menu is filled with flavor and you can't get food like this anywhere else! Awesome selection of beers and drinks too. The restaurant is clean and classy looking. A really great place to grab a drink and something to eat. read more

Love Central Standard! The wait staff is awesome! Great selection of beers and the food is great! We go there every week! XO

Wait was way too long. 1 hour for party of 4. Very bad customer service. Food was ok. Overall very disappointed and will not be returning.

Good food, nice staff. They need more space for people waiting. Enjoyed the sports on the wall, lots of tv's.

Came here today with my daughter. Been wanting to try this place for a while. Got there before the dinner rush and we were seated fast. Everything was fine but the food was so-so. I had the Asiago Turkey Burger. Looked awesome but had no real flavor. The fries are very good. I had a Long Island ice tea that was extremely strong. Had to sip it and I mean sip. Server was great! May come back but it will be a while. read more

My boyfriend and I try to go out with friends once a week now, and I'm always looking for awesome hidden gems, ever since I starting running into them about a year ago. I looked into a lunch place that was like a coffee house, cuz I'd always rather have a coffee. So, I was basing my lunch on the experience; the atmosphere, service, music. I liked the place, the burgers(I had a one garnished with portobellos) were good but kinda greasy like everyone else has said, and too expensive. The waitress was really sweet and not too pushy about anything. Honestly, I went for the beer, because one thing I LOVE are places with a wide choice of micobrews and that seems to be overlooked by most of the other reviews, even though this restaurant is a beer and burger place specifically. The selection was awesome(entire page of 25+ on tap and tons of bottles). I didn't quite choose the correct type of brew for a hot summer day(milk stout), but it was good, seeing that I love most stouts anyways, and my boyfriend's grapefruit IPA was delicious as always. The atmosphere and vibe was a relaxing industrial/textile mix and decent music for how much i noticed. I would go back to try more brews out on the patio with a friend for sure. read more

This is my first ever yelp review because I have never cared enough to publicize my opinion about a place. However, we went to celebrate my friends 23rd birthday tonight and I have never been more disappointed with service in my life (besides maybe at a Waffle House). We made reservations and upon seeing our age processed to then squeeze all 10 of us at a table for 6, 8 tops. Michelle, was our waitress who was by far the rudest waitress I have ever encountered. She did not introduce herself she started it off with "are you together or separate and do not move or switch places from now on" she gave us all numbers and when one of us said she wasn't ready can you start somewhere else she said "no, did you not just hear what I said". She told us all to get our id's out and have them ready by the time she got to our seats. After questioning us all about our age and names she said "oh it's your birthday" to the bday girl (ignoring the fact that she gets a free shake). The last girl showed up a few minutes after the rest of us and Michelle ignored her, never taking her order or brining water. We were given zero refills throughout the whole meal nor were we checked on by waitress. What was supposed to be a fun 23rd celebration turned into the worst experience ever. Not to mention our food was all very below average. The fries were soggy, the pretzel tasted like dried out bread you feed to the ducks, the drinks were small and not made well. On top of it our gratuity was included and once telling a manger he gave us a $2 discount but it was not enough to turn the night around after being treated so so poorly. read more

I would give Central Standard a 5/5 on decor...however, when it comes to the food and price...I would have to say 1/5...felt it was very pricey for the food that we received. Hamburgers were thin and very few fries. It is a double burger but even then, not much there. Also, observed what we believed was a manager, put his hand in a salad that we then watched be delivered to a table (as well as wipe a wet plate off with his bare hand and hand it to the cooks behind the counter). Definitely won't go back... read more

Central Standard Burger rocks. These guys have done a classy burger place with great food, service and atmosphere. If you want a great burger with many choices of styles give this place a try. Not your greasy burger place. The Quad Cities needed this and dont be afraid to cross the bridge just off 53rd and 18th in Bettendorf. read more

Meh. Nowhere near as good as Applebee's or Culver's. Better than Steak and Shake(but who isn't since the new owner changed the meat supplier). Too much money for 2 thin average patties. Staff is nice, and atmosphere is nice, but I still give it 1 star because I feel like I got ripped off, and also because I didn't go there for the ambience.....and I could care less about how good the staff anywhere is if they're serving me cafeteria food. read more

I came here with a group of friends for a birthday last weekend, and we actually had a great time! There were some awesome drink specials and some of our favorite beers, which are so hard to find in the QC! Our waitress, Shelby, knew a TON about the beer list and made some amazing recommendations (the most enthusiastic and knowledgable server I've had in a long time!), and the atmosphere really allowed us to have a good time! I would definitely recommend this place & the only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because we had to pay $3 extra for sweet potato fries, which seems like a lot, and also had to wait awhile for a table, but it was busy so I understand! read more

About 9 months ago I visited this restaurant for the first time. I gave them 3 stars with high marks for atmosphere less so for the food, which I considered greasy and average tasting. This past week I returned with a friend for dinner. We had double burgers, onion rings, cheese curds and some drinks. I am pleased to say that the quality of the food has improved. The side orders and condiments were all very good, and the burgers were generally tasty. The service was attentive and friendly. I think this restaurant is a good place for a casual meal and a couple of drinks. The atmosphere is casual but appealing and the restaurant is lively and bustling at dinner... I think Central Standard could be a 5 star joint if the actual burger meat was a little more enticing. The thin, med well cooked burgers are good, but not great... If they reformed them into 1/3 lb, thickly shaped burgers they would prob add to the overall appeal. ---- Much improved, I have added a star. read more

I was VERY disappointed with the service (or lack there of) at this restaurant. I had family here from out of town and we were a party of 9. We came here on a Saturday night around 615 wanting to enjoy a good dinner. They told us 30-40min wait. OK, fine. We got a drink at the bar and waited our allotted amount of time well..that is when the terrible service happened...first of all if you are a "fine" casual restaurant then why do you only have 1 large table. Well at that large table there was a lingering party that got their check and just wanted to hang out. Ok,fine...pretty rude, but hey people are rude. Where the extremely bad and poorly managed service came in is when the restaurant could not handle to accommodate us. Sitting multiple smaller parties before us, without asking if we would mind being split up, which...once too late we had to tell them we would fine with. Also I as a parton should not feel compelled to a speak with the lingering table then when placing my concern to be talked down to by the manager on duty not apologizing at all but simply just saying what do you want us to do kick them out?! All in all..I will NEVER frequent this establishment ever again and I will make sure to pass along the poor experience I had. If all businesses could remember That bad news is passed on faster than good news. read more
