It was a great location for a stroll and surrounded amongst other local coffee shops, icecream shops, and local businesses. One of the local baristas in the area recommended this place and I'm so glad I went! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable on all of their products. I went on a Sunday afternoon and they were so busy they sold out on the bolognese ravioli that seemed to be a big hit amongst all of their customers - I WILL be back for this! However they had plenty of other homemade pastas available like linguine, bucatini, and tagliatelle. The pastas are all homage and they also have gelato. Great spot for a home cooked pasta date night at home!

Decent ravioli, not the best dine in experience…read more Came here as a lunch option for the area. The inside is well decorated and there was a lot of coolers with pasta and raviolis. We went to the front and ordered the butternut squash ravioli in butter sauce and their lobster roll special. Food came out in a reasonable timeframe, we perused the oils and vinegars while we waited. The lobster roll was a flop. Dry lobster on top of lettuce barely warmed on a non toasted hot dog bun. It's a ravioli shop, so I didn't have high expectations, but figured they have worked with lobster before so I had higher hopes The ravioli we got were also a pretty big flop. Raw uncooked pasta in broken butter sauce and no seasoning. The butternut squash filling was puréed to heck and reminded me of frozen butternut squash sides you buy from the grocery store. Not bad, but lacking. The fries and onion rings were good. Bagged but good quality, the highlight of our meal. The staff were friendly, and the space was small but cozy. I highly suspect the faults of the kitchen are mainly due to them not having dine in orders frequently. I would stick with the prepared pastas and make whatever you buy at home.

A huge array of already assembled dishes and all the ingredients to make your own. When I asked a butcher at Hannaford if he ever stocked guanciale his answer was "what's that?". But here the response is "Sure, let me show you the selection". The prices are high, that's for sure. And a previous reviewer had a minor heart attack at the party sized lasagna now being 75 bucks. And she's right, I saw it with that price in the fridge, along with similarly priced eggplant parmigiana. Is that too much? I don't know, not having purchased it and tried it out. But I suspect the answer would be "yes, it's pricey but it's worth it". For those who buy premade stuff, that is. Personally I'd simply acquire all the needed ingredients from them and make it myself. The wine tasting on Thursdays is a great way to sample a variety of new-to-you wines along with bites of their cheeses. Fun way to sample and perhaps find a new favorite. And the fresh fish is fantastic. Rather than pics of the store's interior, I'm including pics of the products they sell in action. All dishes certified by Lovey as "Wow, that's delicious". And a bonus - free refills on the beverages!

Most of the really wonderful restaurants get their homemade pasta from a little shop founded in 1985 on 78 Fenwick St. in West Haven Connecticut called Durante's Pasta. You too can now duplicate your favorite pasta dishes! Durante's sells dry pasta and frozen pasta and the variety is absolutely astonishing. There are my favorite dry pastas which includes pappardelle, fettuccine, linguine, spaghetti and capellini. The frozen pastas that are totally irresistible are their spinach manicotti, cheese ravioli, lobster ravioli, and cheese tortellini. My newest favorite item is their homemade marinara sauce that can go up against anybody's grandmothers' recipe. It is divine. All good chefs know that perfect meals begin with the best ingredients. Your guests will think you are the most phenomenal host using these ingredients from Durante's!

No parking, no rest rooms, and nowhere to sit and eat, but I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the speed by which they made the sandwich. -- Italian Sandwich: A heavy beast of a sandwich with a lengthy ciabatta roll stuffed with sopressata, salami, capicola, hot capicola, mortadella with pistachios, asiago cheese, arugula, tomato, onion, seasoned oil, pickles, and hot peppers. --- All of the flavors came through and the meats seemed of very high-quality. The pickles were more noticeable than the hots, but easy to adjust next time. The cheese tasted better as it went along, probably getting closer to room temperature where it really shines. --- The flavors and textures were all impressive with the one exception of the ciabatta-- a little on the firm side, but that could be symptomatic of my late Sunday visit. I give them a pass for that and applaud this VERY good sandwich. --- Incredible value! This had to weigh at least 3 pounds and could easily have fed two people, and for only slightly more than a McDonald's "value" meal. Normally, I would wait and try it again before reviewing, but the city of Lynn isn't easy for me to get to, so now it is and it's an easy 4. The only things holding them back from a 5 are the lack of parking, seating, and toilet.
