After moving last year, I live closer to Berlin and I've gradually been trying all the spots. This was my first visit to Central Pizza. I believe it's presently take out only. I ordered a large half pepperoni and green peppers and half cheese by phone. They told me 20-25 minutes on the phone. The Central Pizza crew was nice on the phone and in person and they finished the pizza on time, even though they seemed very busy. I liked some parts of the pizza a lot, and connected less well with some parts. The well melted cheese and fresh green peppers were highlights. The pepperoni was pretty good, but didn't stand out relative to some places. Sauce is a highly personal choice. I prefer a slightly sweeter sauce and this leaned towards tangy. The spice level was nice though. I'm not married to any particular crust style. Central makes a Greek style crust. This was not one of my favorite executions of a Greek crust. The outer rounded crust was very crispy. Almost saltine cracker crispy. The undercarriage was not as crispy, but I like the texture at some other area places better. I'm not sure Central will take the place of any pizzerias in my local takeout rotation. But if I went to someone's house and they served Central, I would not be disappointed. 3.5 Stars

Great taste for a great price. Been coming here for the last 46 years and hopefully for the next 46.

Don't miss out on this great little place in Berlin. We've been going there since I was much younger. Up until COVID you could eat in but now it's take out only. I love their pizza, it's the sauce that makes it! The owner is such a nice man and is always there. As I have stated in past reviews I'm always impressed by owners who are active in their businesses. Picture is what I had last evening, meatball platter. So good! Again, it's the sauce!! Prices are really good and portions are amazing!

The sauce and cheese is delicious

The food is pretty good and the portions are huge. We really like the meatball subs and chicken parmigiana. Delicious!

Felt like you were dining at your Italian families. It's in the basement and loved how it was decorated! When you see the Sopranos.. you already know! We had a family party , therefore it was a family style dinner, ( hard to get pictures). But, many dishes were ordered and passed such as Salad, fresh bread, Antipasto, pasta, calamari, Broccoli Rabe, eggplant parm, Chicken Parm, fish, potatoes! I might be missing something! But service was great , portions were huge. Everyone appeared to have been satisfied with their food. There's really no gluten free options labeled on the menu but they do have gluten pasta, and other options they can suggest as such as fish or chicken. I ordered a separate the Gemelli Cantina GF pasta dish (Chicken, spinach, sautéed with fresh garlic and olive oil). Very tasty! And all portions were huge! Restaurant does have a small lot in the back but fills up fast. Street parking or the public lot is the closest.

Down the stairs and through the door into the dark cavern of a cave in Italy. I swear, we traveled back in time. Checkered tablecloths and dim lighting created ambiance. Food is served "family style" here. That means that one entry will serve 3 people. We over ordered, of course. But the leftovers tasted just as good the next day. Authentic and delicious. See if you can find this hidden gem.

Our waitress was prompt in taking drink orders and delivering warm, freshly baked bread with an original tomato butter spread. Yum! I ordered the butternut salad which Was lovely. My husband ordered the sweet potato ravioli and raved about it. He devoured them, actually. We have nothing but praise for Salute. Prices were reasonable, ambiance was upscale and the service excellent. Did I mention the food? I hate to admit this, but it's than my Nonnas.

Fried mozz... the flavor of the cheese was good but the pieces were over fried so it was kinda hard and tasted somewhat burnt 2. Risotto balls... those were great, just needed a lil more sauce. I would definitely order this again. 3. Spicy Calamari... There was an unpleasant odor as soon as they came out. Tasted the actual Calamari and it was delicious but the dish was ruined with all the crap that was added. The yucky slaw and the sauce/ drizzle were unnecessary and made the dish inedible. Wish they left it off or put it in the side so we could have enjoyed the Calamari itself. 4. Sweet Potato Ravioli... the actual ravioli was good. Loved the filling. But this dish was ruined by a flavorless sauce. It tasted like cream mixed with butter. That sauce should be left off. Im sure the server already knew we didnt really enjoy it bcuz he didnt even question why food was left and we didnt want to take any of it to go... Really planned to order more from the happy hour menu but after those last 2 disappointing apps, I changed my mind...
