I have regularly scheduled appts with Thea for my builder gel nails who always kills it! She takes all my ideas and executes them flawlessly. HI: I had made an appointment on a Saturday. I got there 2 min early and after washing hands, began the manicure immediately with Nola. I previously had a gel manicure at a different salon and it had done some damage to my nails. Nola suggested the dipping manicure and I did that instead. This was my first experience with dipping. It helped fill the cracks in the nails and looks like a solid french manicure. I also elected to the deep conditioning lotion treatment on my hands and neck massage. Everything was clean and they do not reuse nails files or buffers! Will be back! read more

It can seem a little busy when you walk inside. People standing everywhere eagerly to help. It contains a lot of culture appreciation inside but the ambiance of the place isn't bad at all. Upon entering the they get you signed in and sometimes you and others you may not. I enjoy the fact they ask if you would like water or a drink. It helps you understand they are interested in helping you. Since I've been going Muoi (and I could be spelling it wrong) has been doing my nails and I absolutely love her. I will never refer any family or friends to Central Nails in Eagan, and I will never return--especially not with my family or my daughter. If I could give this review zero stars instead of one, I absolutely would. Here is why and a little back story. I made an appointment for three people on December 12, 2025, to celebrate my daughter's 7th birthday. We have been to this location before, mainly for my daughter's polish changes. When we first started coming here, I loved it for two reasons: this was the first nail salon that offered sticker books for kids to choose from instead of hand-drawn designs at a reasonable price, and Chi was the sweetest, kindest technician. She knew how to talk to my daughter, made her feel special, and always created a positive experience. Because of that, I was very clear when booking the appointment two days in advance. I told the person making the reservation there would be three of us, my daughter would be getting a polish change on both hands and feet, I specifically requested Chi, I would be getting a gel manicure, and my aunt would be getting a pedicure. I was told Chi was working and that this would not be a problem. The morning of the appointment, my aunt called to move the appointment up slightly while ensuring Chi would be available and was told yes again. We arrived at 1:00 PM. My aunt checked us in, my daughter chose her color, and we waited patiently. A walk-in customer was seated immediately while my aunt and daughter were waiting. Julie later realized the mistake and seated my aunt and daughter in the pedicure area. I explained that my daughter always gets a polish change and is allowed to soak her feet in water only--no soap, no scrub, no lotion--and that this has always been charged as a polish change. My aunt confirmed this with her technician and was told yes. Julie later told me this was not considered a polish change and would be charged as a pedicure, insisting the technician "did not understand," even though I was standing there and heard the conversation. She later implied we were lying. My aunt confirmed again what was asked and answered. Julie never apologized and made me feel as if what I told her was untrue. I told Julie I was no longer getting my nails done. She said ok and walked away. I then noticed Chi--the technician I specifically requested--was assigned to another client. A different technician was assigned to my daughter and said they did not have sticker books. Julie also said they did not have sticker books. I then watched Chi pull out sticker books and hand them to my daughter's technician, making it clear they were "Chi's," and later that one was actually the manager's. This was another example of poor service after I specifically requested Chi for this reason. During my daughter's service, her technician repeatedly insisted on gel instead of regular polish. I said no multiple times. I was repeatedly called up to change colors, told colors wouldn't work, and asked to find gel colors myself. I was called back several times to change them again. This made the experience stressful and frustrating. Another customer tried to pay for my daughter's service and was told by Julie she could not. She later bought a gift card and gave it to me, saying "Happy Holidays." I did not ask for this, but it showed how uncomfortable the situation had become. Another customer later did the same because she felt bad for how I was being treated. Julie was extremely unprofessional. She made me feel like I was lying, contradicted her staff, ignored my request for Chi made two days in advance, denied customers the ability to pay, and never apologized. Two technicians later apologized to me and acknowledged how poorly this was handled. I will never return to this salon. I will take my business elsewhere. It is disappointing because Chi is wonderful, but this experience ruined everything. read more

I went to Central nails today. I was seated promptly and politely. I ,was handed a menu for pedicure service to pick what lev el of service I wanted. I picked the $50 option, which included: pedicure, heel and callus clean up painting, &13 minute massage with Hot towels. Seemed fair... my reg place charges $45. I was fine with the whole experience.. however when the massage part started my tech lady hit a timer and then started cleaning the tank. She then walked away for over 2 1/2 minutes, which I may not have paid attention to, if not for the timer in my face.. so I felt as if I were robbed of over 3 minutes of the best part. I then had asked for 2 colors.. Not a design just a brush stroke of blue and red for the 4th. At the end.. I was charged $76. For what? I tried to tell her I chose the $50 option, which she then handed me my credit receipt with $91 on it. I had not approved a tip of that much,,, she did not do anything with the bottom of my feet. I am shocked.. and feel really taken back by this type of charging technique. I would absolutely NEVER go back here. $91 for a half ass pedi is ridiculous. Lots of other great places! read more

Received a gift card to this salon. Was excited to give it a try, however, can't say I was very impressed. Walked in and the entire experience felt rushed to me. Was asked to pick a color and figure out which pedicure level I wanted. Personally, I appreciate time to pick my color and what I want. Individual doing my pedicure did an okay job. Really nothing special. When it came time to pay, it seemed like an issue paying with a gift card....Lots of confusion. I don't know that I'll return. Lots of technicians available. Basically the only thing she did was paint my nails. She didn't even let the dryer beep before switching hands. This was not a mani. I paid for a mani and got my nails polished. I've always wanted ombré nails but was concerned about trying it because I prefer dip powder and haven't really seen someone get the dip ombré look right. Well Arena proved me wrong, not only did she ombré my nails w/dip, the shape and the manicure was top notch! The dip powder is layered on perfectly (it isn't super thick like some do it), there is no line of demarcation between the pink & white, and the shape is fantastic. She is a great technician and I look forward to going back again. Central Nails is a beautiful spot and their team is great. I went to central nails and had Connie. She is new to doing pedicures, but everyone has to start somewhere. However, this experience was so bad that I will not be returning to central nails again. She immediately tried to get me as a regular before she even started my pedicure. I selected the $70 milk and honey pedi, but for some reason I was charged $86. She proceeded to tell me that I had an infection in one of my toes- I did not. She clipped away cuticle AND skin, then would dig the file as well as her nail into the area she just clipped away... Ouch. She took the piece to sand away calluses and gouged the back of my heel to where I gad open skin, there is now a scab there. She used this sanding piece all over my feet and toes- where I did not need it. She punched my legs instead of messaging them. My feet hurt the next day because of how intense this was. I understand this service takes practice, but Connie should be practicing on other employees who can tell her how rough she is. This was a complete turn off, very expensive, and not relaxing. read more

I've been going to the same nail salon in Eagan for at least ten years. I liked the staff, they knew me and my habits well, and it was adequate. Today, it was 90+ degrees and I walked into the salon and saw it was A) a long wait and B) they weren't running the air conditioning. NOPE. I decided to try Central Nails which opened recently in the Central Park Commons shopping area. For starters, this is a well-designed, VERY clean nail salon. Very attractive decor. At the pedicure chairs, they line the tub with plastic before filling with water to ensure a sanitary procedure. I felt a little queasy wondering how many bullets I've dodged in the past by never having that option. I was given an actual menu of pedicure and manicure services, as well as a selection of beverages. The equipment and chairs are all state of the art and they feature OPI nail products. I think there were about ten different levels of service for both manicures and pedicures. If you're into more artistic designs with nails, this looks like the place where they're up to speed on current trends. The girl who did my fill had elaborate nails herself, definitely promoting her product. Large, flat panel TVs can be watched from just about every seat in the house. The salon was busy, but it was the most efficient service I've ever received and a flawless finish to both the pedicure and gel fill. I did not feel at all rushed, though. The cost was slightly higher than what I've been paying, but well worth the nominal increase. Heads up-if you're paying by credit card, there is no tip option on the receipt. Absolute worst nails I've ever had. I went here because they were the only salon open After 7. Convenient. Walked in and there was a few other people inside. Julie started doing my nails and was very rough and pulling my hands. She took off all the polish, and started doing the fill then told me the cost. It was an additional $16 for gel polish on my acrylic nails. I've never been charged that much of an up charge anywhere. It only got worse. She did the fill, then filed one and I asked for square but this is what I got. After painting she then filed again, causing to take the new polish off. I will NEVER come back here, and I hope everyone who gets acrylic nails doesn't either, or at least visits another employee. read more

I tried this place for its convenience amongst errands. It was my birthday, and I wanted to treat myself to a manicure. 1. Nail polish brand unidentifiable; re-labeled with salon stickers. Low quality polish. 2. Once inside, little paper signs are taped everywhere, saying they only accept cash tips and prefer cash for all services. Sounds like tax evasion. 3. The manicure itself was the worst I've ever had. Bleeding cuticle, sloppy painting (onto cuticle), lurid color (from how it looked in bottle). 4. We called and made an appointment for 3 pedicures and 1 manicure (4 people) - we got there and the pedicures were brought over immediately, I sat and waited a couple minutes and was brought to the manicure station...where I sat for 20 minutes without being acknowledged. Someone after me was brought over and helped immediately. My friends were almost done with their pedicures and I still hadn't been acknowledged besides being escorted to the table from the waiting area. I stopped in here as a walk in. They did the manicure and pedicure at the same time which I appreciate since I'm always rushed and never can find tome to have the service done. Both techs did a fabulous job, didn't rush and were just the right amount of talkative! I never felt like anyone was talking about me or shaming me for not having regular pedicures. Beautiful place! I was greeted when I came in the door and helped right away. This place is brand new and clean. My nail tech was very kind and funny. She offered beverages, anything from tea to water. The other nail techs were fully engaged with clients instead of chatting among one another, which can be distracting for the customer experience. I have been a loyal customer of this nail salon since June 2018. That being said, there's been many times I've thought about going elsewhere because of the service quality but always stayed because it's convenient for me. On March 8 I walked in for a gel manicure and pedicure. Julie the manager was available so I requested her to do my manicure. It's really hit or miss with her I've found out. Unfortunately this time she was incredibly distracted with customers coming in, phone calls coming into the salon and on her personal cell phone. During my manicure a lady walked in and said she had an appointment. She proceeded to wait for about 30 minutes at which time she said she wasn't going to be able to have her pedicure done because she no longer had time. They asked if she could come back the next morning and she stated that she made the appointment because she was getting on a plane that evening and wouldn't be available to come the next morning. Julie looks at me and says "you leave and come back so we can do her pedicure?" I felt badly for the lady so I obliged. I gave them the benefit of the doubt once again, which leads me to last nights visit. I went in for a pedicure and this was the final straw. The lady that did my pedicure shoved my legs off the ledge into the water. I have never experienced anything like that before! It's the first time in my entire life I've ever felt physically assaulted. Normally they'll gently nudge or tap you to put them in the water. This was absolutely nothing like that. She actually shoved her hands aggressively into my shinbones. They'll never see me in their salon again! I've been coming to Central Nails off and on for a couple years now. I usually see Rose who is very good at both Dip powder on my nails, but also Gel color on my toes. I'm not an easy client due to having problem toe nails, however Rose always fulfills my expectations. My only complaint is that I make every effort to make an appointment due to how busy the salon gets, but often end up waiting 15 - 30 minutes to get in her chair. I blame this on how they assign the walk-in customers. I'd recommend they revisit this process for better customer service. Came in today and it wasn't busy. They put me with a new girl...which is fine, everyone needs to learn but, I have now been here almost two hours and still haven't had a massage. They finally put someone else with me who has proceeded to cut me, due to rushing. Nails not clipped straight. Skin hanging around critical. The prices are not cheap-average I guess. But I feel for the cost should be a better experience overall. Manager is more concerned about her Starbucks order than what's going on here. i have been going to this salon for about a year. I do a dip and have like most of my services, however my last dip 3 nails broke/cracked and others were lifting within a week. Walking around with band aid's. I went in and the nail techs agreed it was not a good dip. They redid the service but made me pay the full $50 again! Very frustrating, because they knew something wasn't done correctly. I didn't know the name of the tech or exact day I was in but it was very obvious my nails were just done. I always sign in as the ask, but for some reason they could not check the records?? So disappointing they don't stand behind their work. Don't give them cash because you have no proof of service. I love coming to Central Nails. This last time was absolutely amazing. Thi did my pedicure and I literally almost fell asleep, it was so relaxing. Julie always does my acrylic/dip nails and she always does an incredibly fabulous job. I get pink and white ombré and she did two flowers on each of my middle fingers. It looks gorgeous.
