I knew he had done great work for a neighbor, and I wasn't disappointed. He and his son reshaped an acacia that was a bushy nightmare, with tree droppings filling the area around it, removed several scraggly looking shrubs and removed another tree and the stump so that there was no trace of it. I'd had a small tree removed previously where the stump was left, so I appreciated the thorough work, everything was cleaned up meticulously. There was also a tree that another larger company had thinned out and one branch kind of stuck out asymetrically. I pointed it out to Flo who immediately saw what I saw, and cut it off. He knows his plants too, pointing out why one bush was scraggly due to lack of sun. What really impressed me is his "artists" eye for tree shaping. The acacia looks so much better. His response time was excellent--both to my phone calls and scheduling the visit within days of my call. He saved the day so that I was ready in time for the fence project. The cost was extremely reasonable. $1000 for all that work which included removing and dumping the large truckload of tree branches and cuttings. He also cleared off my roof of dead leaves, pine needles and cleaned the gutters. Thank you Flo! I will definitely call again for my tree shaping/trimming needs!

(This job was primarily to cut back trees along my property line, so that if these notoriously breakable Cypress tree limbs shattered in a storm, they would not fall on my neighbors' homes or fences.) He and his crew also provided excellent cleanup, with */no damage whatsoever/* to structures or fencing in VERY TIGHT work areas, with only 1 foot of clearance between the 30 inch diameter eucalyptus tree being trimmed and the fence: He didn't drop ANY limbs or branches onto the fence or the neighboring shrubs. His quote was fair and this job was difficult, due to the other part of it being Cypress trees that tend to split under wind load. I had had one "rush" job done the "La Niña" in 2021 by the only tree service available at the time (NOT his) and I am quite sure that A&A Tree Care would have charged 10 to 20% less for the same job. Also, he split the bill into two clear sections, so that the work on the eucalyptus tree, which was in the neighbors yard, was shown as a separate part of the estimate. This was important, as my neighbor had offered to pay for the trimming of that tree, where it was overhanging my fence and property line; the neighbors tree was a particular nuisance to me, as it was constantly dropping seeds and branches down into my trees and shrubs below. I began my own building contractor work at age 16 during high school summers and did my first arborist style of tree climbing on the tall straight, Jeffrey and Ponderosa Pines in the San Jacinto mountains in Southern California, so I know the hazards of the work and the difficulties of doing a trimming job in limited spaces. He didn't run his chainsaws or wood any longer than was absolutely necessary, as he said "Even though this noise level is permitted during the day, I don't want to disturb your neighbors anymore than I have to. When they were done, they just blew their debris into my planters, left my hose blocking a door, and didn't bother to clean their debris off my driveway. They also moved large boxes and trash cans away from the gate they wanted to use, into the middle my driveway, and didn't bother to move them back, making parking impossible. I guess if you're not paying them any money they don't give a rip about leaving a time consuming mess behind for you to clean up.
