Craig had trimmed these trees before. Craig arrived with a ground worker and climber and gave the trees a long overdue trimming, the phone lines are clear, the power to the house is safe from falling limbs. Craig was easy to work with and let is add two stump removals and one more tree felling to the job. Craig's equipment was first rate, the stump grinder removed a 4 foot stump and a fig tree stump quickly and safely, no flying debris, The stump holes were backfilled and graded. Yard looks great. His arborists cleaned up and chipped all the branches and left our property neat and clean.

Everything was neatly pruned to maximize the health of the oak trees, and the pine was cleaned up after the poor tree-topping job that was completely hacked by the utilities. Once the job was completed, all the limbs were chipped and hauled away, and our yard was left cleaner than it was before they arrived. I highly recommend working with the Tree Brothers if you want the job done right. I will hire them again for future tree trimming projects.

He said they could come out on Wednesday about 1:00pm to do the work. I accepted on the spot. He texted me to let me know his crew was held up at a previous job and would be there about an hour after the expected time which worked perfect fro me because i had to go get the keys to move a car I had parked under the tree. His crew showed up. The foreman introduced himself to me and confirmed the work they were to be doing. He and his crew raised the tree skirt (lifted the crown) and thined out the number of branches. They grinded all the branches they cut down, cleaned up, and hauled everything away too. Just awesome. All done in just one hour! I will be using them for all my future needs as well. Thanks guys!

They offered to come by right away to take a look, then scheduled me first thing the next morning. The following morning they showed up on time 5.5 hours later, they let me know the work was finished. When I got back, everything looked exactly the way I hoped it would. The yard was cleaned up, the weeds were handled, and the whole space looked refreshed. Their communication was excellent, the price was competitive, and the crew was friendly and professional. The whole process was smooth from start to finish. They went above and beyond, and I'm already considering having them handle my monthly yard maintenance. Highly recommend.

It's nice to be able to support a local business that truly takes care of its customers. I would definitely recommend Colores Tree Service and would use them again!

Disappointing Experience - Look Elsewhere for Tree Services…read more Unfortunately, my experience with this business was very disappointing. The owner did not visit the property to provide a quote and instead relied solely on photos. He then requested a 10% deposit before even meeting in person or reviewing the job onsite -- something he claimed was required by California law, which is incorrect. We declined to pay any deposit without a proper estimate or consultation. We also found that the pricing he offered was not competitive -- it was similar to what other tree service companies quoted, many of whom provided more professional and responsive service. We ultimately went with another company that came out the same day, assessed the job in person, discussed the project in detail, and gave us a quote -- all without requesting any upfront payment. When I informed this business that we chose a different provider, the owner responded in an unprofessional and defensive manner. There are many reputable tree service companies in the area that offer free in-person estimates, no upfront fees, and have many strong reviews across Yelp and Google. I recommend exploring those options instead of this one. Feel free to message me directly if you'd like more details about my poor experience. Response to the owner: First, you were the one who suggested the price we agreed on via text message. Then you suddenly brought up a contract and a 10% deposit. You're incorrect in stating that a 10% deposit is mandatory in California--it's optional and up to the contractor. Many other companies don't require it. Also, I don't see why I should pay 10% upfront when we haven't even met in person and you haven't visited the job site. The other company already finished the job in half a day and took the payment after the job was completed.

Jorje was great, he told me he would chip it all when he got here. He did just that and did a great job trimming our trees. I had asked him to trim a lot and a month had gone by from our quote (fire season the trimmers were booked out), he remembered everything we talked about and did a great job creating our defensible space to keep our family and house safe. Our whole street uses him. My neighbor had a giant tree taken down by them. My other neighbor has him out multiple times a year to trim a heavily wooded area backing up to our neighborhood canyon. They like him so much they stopped by to say hi to him and his crew when he was trimming our trees. I have used a few other trimmers in the area who have been great. However, when you call them a 2nd time their quotes double. Jorje is honest and consistent with his work and price. We all talk about the Carmel mark-up, whenever people come to Carmel they always mark-up the price when you compare it to your friend in Seaside or Marina. He doesn't do that. He is consistent across the Peninsula. When he was in the neighborhood at my neighbor's house I took down a large branch myself and asked him if he would swing by and chip it for me. He cleaned up my unprofessional cut, chipped up my limb, and blew away the mess for me on his way out after a full day of work at my neighbors. Not many businesses in this area know what true customer service is, he does, and that's why we all use him as our trimmer.
