They offered to come by right away to take a look, then scheduled me first thing the next morning. The following morning they showed up on time 5.5 hours later, they let me know the work was finished. When I got back, everything looked exactly the way I hoped it would. The yard was cleaned up, the weeds were handled, and the whole space looked refreshed. Their communication was excellent, the price was competitive, and the crew was friendly and professional. This landscaping young person's business prides itself on what they've done for others rather than what they will do for you. Their exuberant prices are far above gardening services. Ambiguous rates fluctuate but the job never is factually stated & what one gets is less the worth paid out....Times of work seems not to be implemented for actual times worked. I'm sure with yrs. of experience they'll do fine....but for now trusting their abilities is in question. Highly recommend "Flo" and River Landscape. I needed some trees trimmed prior to a fence install and it needed to be done very quickly. My usual landscaper was booked up. I knew he had done great work for a neighbor, and I wasn't disappointed. He and his son reshaped an acacia that was a bushy nightmare, with tree droppings filling the area around it, removed several scraggly looking shrubs and removed another tree and the stump so that there was no trace of it. I'd had a small tree removed previously where the stump was left, so I appreciated the thorough work, everything was cleaned up meticulously. There was also a tree that another larger company had thinned out and one branch kind of stuck out asymetrically. I pointed it out to Flo who immediately saw what I saw, and cut it off. He knows his plants too, pointing out why one bush was scraggly due to lack of sun. What really impressed me is his "artists" eye for tree shaping. The acacia looks so much better. His response time was excellent--both to my phone calls and scheduling the visit within days of my call. He saved the day so that I was ready in time for the fence project. The cost was extremely reasonable. $1000 for all that work which included removing and dumping the large truckload of tree branches and cuttings. He also cleared off my roof of dead leaves, pine needles and cleaned the gutters. Thank you Flo! I will definitely call again for my tree shaping/trimming needs! read more

Poor Quality - Poor Value - Quoted us $4000 for two days of flagstone work. He finished in one day and did a crappy job. I had to hire others to fix his lousy job. He still charged us $4000. We complained. He started whining. Eventually he agreed to come back the next day and improve his work. Too much to do in one day. Not happy. read more

River Landscape did a great job planting a tree in our front yard. We had an @ 8ft arbutus marina delivered about a week prior and it had some damage from a few spills (wind). They arrived when they said they would, planted the tree, and charged us according to their quote. They also advised us on keeping the tree staked (a bit of a crooked trunk), watering, and feeding/recovery/establishing. We have some huge trees on our property and we will definitely be hiring them in winter for some major pruning. Very happy with their service! read more
