I have used The Tree Man 2x and my mother has once. They are professional, knowledgable and great at what they do. I had an dead pine taken out by my ADU that I was concerned about a while back and they did a great job. Even my tenant loved the work being done and brought them out cookies mid job. I recently had an emergency situation with a dead oak that fell across my road. I thought I was going to be blocked from my house for days but they were up within hours to address the issue. My mom has used them for trimming/treecare for a grove of trees in her yard and they look great. Overall a wonderful team of real professionals. I highly recommend! I would highly recommend The Tree Man service. It's actually Tree Men! I called 5 tree service businesses and only 2 returned my call and gave me an estimate. Dean responded to my call right away and almost immediately came out to give me an estimate. I was impressed that he responded so fast and so he got the job. He wasn't able to do the job until 10 days or so but when his crew got here they were very prompt, thorough and professional. I had a huge, badly neglected Date Palm tree in my yard and they did a fantastic job of trimming and shaping the tree. They had a truck with a crane, a wood chipper and several other trucks to haul the tree trimmings away. They even trimmed another tree at the last minute for me and everything was done within an hour or so and at a reasonable price. They are very hard workers. The Tree Man and his crew showed up today and did a fantastic job pruning a half dozen mature oak trees on our property. I really love these trees so my primary concern is making sure they stay healthy, but they are even more awe-inspiring now that they have been pruned. Brad was great at communicating when they would be here and and then checking in to make sure we were happy with what they were doing--which we were. Dean gave us a quote for doing a full day's work--rather than a specific number of trees--and we were very satisfied with what they accomplished. I will definitely call them again. read more

Monterey County Sheriff's Department Incident Number: 230117-0652 Address: Pine Canyon Road, Salinas, CA Date of Call: 17 Jan 2023 Incident: Neighbor on Pine Canyon Road hired The Tree Man to remove trees from their property. The Tree Man ground up trees and most trimmings and blew the chips on to my property at Pine Canyon Road. The Tree Man did not have my permission to dispose of Chip Grindings on my Property. Talked to The Tree Man crew members and they denied cutting any trees on the property on Pine Canyon Road or blowing the chips on to my property on Pine Canyon Road . Ask them 3 times about the incident. Got same answer each time, a denial of cutting trees and blowing chips. Called 911 and Deputy Sheriff Responded. Did not get his name or card. My fault for that. Should hve ask. Deputy responded fairly quickly and got my side of the story. He went into Toro Park Property where The Tree Man was cutting additional trees on a right-of-way to Pine Canyon Road and blowing the chips on the Parks property. I'm assuming he has permission to do so. Deputy talked to purported owner of The Tree Man and story changed from what I was told, to admitting they had cut the trees and blew the chips on to my property without my permission. Haven't a clue as to permission to dispose of chips on Toro Park Property. Deputy came back and reported to me that The Tree Man OWNER had admitted the chips were blown on my property without permission and he didn't have time that day to clean up the mess. He told the deputy he would be back by Saturday and clean the chips up. Deputy gave me Business Card that fellow purported to be owner gave him. That clean up has not happened. Chips still on steep hill side under some oak trees. THE TREE MAN has not done what they told Deputy they would do by 21 Jan 2023. It is now September 2023 and have not heard from them. Totally unreliable. Now I do not want The Tree Man on or near my property. I will be hiring a Reputable Company to clean up the mess left by The Tree Man. His employees lied to me 3 times denying ever being near the trees or blowing the chips. The purported owner of THE TREE MAN did not follow thru on what he told the deputy what he do to clean up the mess. In my opinion, this is not a reliable tree or brush removal service. I'd highly recommend The Tree Man / Dean for any tree removal or trimming you may need. We had a large tree in Pacific Grove that was permitted to be removed due to its condition, and I called several tree removal companies for bids. Dean called me back within minutes and then came by to see the tree / give me a bid later that day. I confirmed that we wanted to go forward, and he gave me approximate timing. He then communicated that his schedule had filled up with some very large jobs, but he wanted to stay true to his word and scheduled his crew to come after work to remove our tree, the giant stump, and the surrounding shrubs. His crew showed up on time, and they were efficient, respectful and tidy. Dean immediately followed up to see if I was satisfied with their work. I couldn't be happier - it looks as if there was never a tree there, and we have plenty of space to replant a smaller species. Note I did end up eventually getting other bids, but they took a lot of prodding - The Tree Man was by far the most responsive and competitively priced. Highly recommend! read more

Our family has done business with "The Treeman" for over 20 years. Our home is on a 5 acre parcel with oak trees that are in excess of 50 feet in height. The elevation of the property slopes up to the house and has an asphalt drive , out buildings and landscaping under the trees. Every time "The Treeman" has trimmed our trees they have arrived on time with equipment that is clean, well maintained and in great working condition. The staff that arrives on the job site is adequate to perform the job and is professional, polite and very efficient. Additionally, I have asked The Treeman to remove several very large branches that were overhanging sensitive areas in my yard. The work was performed perfectly without disrupting or touching any of the sensitive areas. When the jobs were completed and the crew wrapped up for the day, sidewalks were swept and landscaping areas were cleaned. It was actually difficult to tell that a serious tree trimming operation took place on those days. I am also associated with another local entity that needed tree service on several occasions and contracted with "The Treeman". All of these services were performed in the same exemplary manner. The staff on site reported excellent performance on all of these jobs. I have been so pleased with the performance of "The Treeman", that when they recently worked on our trees, I told them I would be more than wiling to be a reference for any new customers who want to talk to an existing Treeman customer. read more
