Apparently, the building's owner did not notify the tenants of the work. No problemo.. the guys had a job to do and did it very well. They were incredibly professional. They worked as a cohesive team for the entire day, resting only when they were allotted their legal breaks / lunch time. They were clean and very organized. Each employee was dressed appropriately & had all required safety gear - harnesses when climbing trees, work boots, long sleeved shirts & long pants, ear / eye protection, and hats when needed. Their equipment was well maintained. Attention to safety is very important to this company & its staff. The staff who worked this day spoke Spanish only, but were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure I had access to the garbage bins (actually, they took my bags to the appropriate bins - thank you!!). They also made sure I could exit the parking area easily because they positioned their truck & equipment with attention to detail. I don't know prices or any other details, but I recommend this business based on safety, respectful staff, and cleanliness. (This job was primarily to cut back trees along my property line, so that if these notoriously breakable Cypress tree limbs shattered in a storm, they would not fall on my neighbors' homes or fences.) He and his crew also provided excellent cleanup, with */no damage whatsoever/* to structures or fencing in VERY TIGHT work areas, with only 1 foot of clearance between the 30 inch diameter eucalyptus tree being trimmed and the fence: He didn't drop ANY limbs or branches onto the fence or the neighboring shrubs. His quote was fair and this job was difficult, due to the other part of it being Cypress trees that tend to split under wind load. I had had one "rush" job done the "La Niña" in 2021 by the only tree service available at the time (NOT his) and I am quite sure that A&A Tree Care would have charged 10 to 20% less for the same job. Also, he split the bill into two clear sections, so that the work on the eucalyptus tree, which was in the neighbors yard, was shown as a separate part of the estimate. This was important, as my neighbor had offered to pay for the trimming of that tree, where it was overhanging my fence and property line; the neighbors tree was a particular nuisance to me, as it was constantly dropping seeds and branches down into my trees and shrubs below. I began my own building contractor work at age 16 during high school summers and did my first arborist style of tree climbing on the tall straight, Jeffrey and Ponderosa Pines in the San Jacinto mountains in Southern California, so I know the hazards of the work and the difficulties of doing a trimming job in limited spaces. He didn't run his chainsaws or wood any longer than was absolutely necessary, as he said "Even though this noise level is permitted during the day, I don't want to disturb your neighbors anymore than I have to.
