    1.5 mile walking/ jogging trail.

In my quest to visit all of the Broward County Parks it was time to make a visit to one missing from my collection, Central Broward Regional Park. All county parks have a $1,50 entrance fee for weekends and holidays. Central Broward Regional Park is located in the city of Lauderdale at the corner of US 441 and State Road 838. It is very close to the turnpike exit and entrance on Sunrise Boulevard. This park was built at a cost of 70 million dollars and it opened on November 9, 2007. The park is most well known for having the first cricket pitch in the U.S. to be certified by the International Cricket Council to host international matches. The park is also well known for hosting a variety of cultural and music festivals. Other park amenities include a football/soccer field, lake for fishing, tennis courts, picnic pavilions, restrooms, and a playground. In 2008, Tropical Splash, a water park that requires a separate admission price opened in the park. Until recently the park was a Covid testing site. During my visit I exercised on the 1.5 mike walking trail that goes along the perimeter of the park. There are over 50 parks and natural areas managed by the county. You can fish, hike, play sports, picnic, exercise, play, and visit historic buildings. My favorite county parks tend to be the ones with nature and hiking trails and history like Tree Tops, Secret Woods, Snake Warrior's Island Natural Area, and Long Key Natural Area & Nature Center Park. I also really love the burrowing owls at Brian Piccolo Park. Although I wouldn't go out of my way to make a return trip here unless there was a special event, this is still a very nice park. The cricket pitch makes it unique and there are a lot of amenities for people who want to picnic or play sports. The water park is also another great feature of the park. While I prefer more plants and trees, this park, like all of the county parks are well maintained and clean.

It's a park day! Happy Holi and Spring everyone! Excellent location for the heritage administration to hold Holi the Water-main broke so there wasn't any for the water guns , unless you brought your own bucket, but there was plenty of colorful powder and cheer to go around. Made the best of it and still enjoyed the celebration. The area was very spacious and clean bathrooms as well as park grounds. Such a wonderful celebration joining the West Indian and East Indian holi traditions, very culturally diverse with food, music and live shows. It's been a great experience.

Very nice stadium. All areas are kept in really good condition. Bathrooms are clean and they have vending machines for water or sodas. Lots of seating space to be social distancing and they do enforce wearing masks and provided hand sanitizer for all.

Only ICC accredited stadium in USA. Generally, seating is divided into two stands I.e. east & west. Pick based on the time of the game. Views are good throughout the stadium. Easy access ensures not a lot of walking to do. The shades do not really cover the first few rows.

Great place to have picnics, bbqs, nonprofit fundraisers, 5k walks, family reunions, and much more. The park is big, its clean, and safe. I had a non profit fundraiser event here for the CARIB organization. It was our first fundraiser picnic and it went extremely well. In the beginning, the staff was being sticklers of what we can and cannot do. However, as time progressed they were not bothersome. They allowed us to set up tents near the soccer field for our sponsors, allowed us to decorate, have a DJ, and sell food, drinks and refreshments. Pretty much anything we did we had to make sure to maintain the pavillion as we met it. And, that we did. The park is well maintained. It's a 110 acre multipurpose facility. It has a stadium. Soccer, football and cricket fields. Netball. Tennis, and basketball courts. They also have a water playground, pool, and a playground. They have picnic shelters, pavilions, nature trails and I am sure much more that I am forgetting to mention. Overall, I would definitely use this park again. It was amazing and it had lots to offer. I highly recommend this park.

Central Broward Regional Park is the only place which has an international cricket stadium in the USA. I have been visiting this park since it's opening around 10 years ago or so. Besides cricket, other sports including soccer and other games are also played here. They also have a water park which people can visit and is super popular on the weekends as the weather in Florida is hot most of the year. The park has three cricket fields. The main stadium has hosted many events including bilateral series for the West Indies cricket team with India and New Zealand. Also the CPL hosts a few games every year. The recent announcement of USA cricket spending $1 billion for cricket development is welcome news for cricket fans in the USA. Excellent spot to play cricket and soccer. 5 stars all the way.

I have been here a few times for sporting events and generally there are no complaints. This is an actual all purpose facility where there is a park as well as a ground for many sporting events. The stadium itself has stands which could hold about 5000 people and of course there is seating on the grounds which could hold a lot more. I have been there for previous cricket matches when there were approximately 20000 people, so there is ample capacity. As far as food goes there are no actual built in food stands like an actual stadium, what happens is that when there are events people come in with temporary tents and stoves to sell food which is mostly Caribbean, The food could be anything from Curry to Jerk and Bar B Que, I have to assume that this is the only type of food that is available as I have only been to Caribbean events. The drinks are normally beer, scotch, vodka or rum. For kids of course there are soft drinks, shaved ice, juices, again these are not permanent bars but are constructed just for the events being held. There is ample parking, however for events they charge a fee of approximately $10-20 per event which is kind of pricey but at least your vehicle is safe and you are actually parked in the general area. The stadium is strategically located as well, it is located between West Palm Beach and Miami so it is not a far drive from either location, more importantly for the people that live in Broward or Fort Lauderdale this is the place to experience events. I actually went this past weekend to watch our local cricket team the Trinbago Knight Riders play two games and had a great time, would definitely go back. The only inconvenience about this place is that a lot of the places that sell are cash only and there is no ATM, so don't forget to walk with enough cash. This would make sense because the people that sell are only temporary for the event that is being held. Would definitely recommend checking this place out when going to your sporting events.

The view is good from any point seated in the stadium which is excellent because I hate when a pole is blocking my view.

So glad some friends told us about this place awhile back when we were talking about places to take the grandkids in the future. But even if you're just a kid at heart, You may want to visit here. Wear your bathing suit. It's easy to find. And there's ample free parking out front. Mid week when we stopped by it wasn't very busy. But if I had kids, I'd be here every weekend -- especially in our recent hot weather. First and foremost is the interactive water/splash pad. So many machines spraying water, buckets dumping, etc etc. The three kids there were squealing with joy and excitement. Such fun. There's also a story walk/trail for children with various stops plus a regular walking trail. A covered playground with equipment for kids. A Volleyball sand court; basketball court; grills; picnic areas... all with a large swath of green grass in the middle -- perfect for events/concerts. On the south end is the canal C-14 with a fishing pier. More "waters edge" as in the name. And also for adults, there's a covered area right near the water with all sorts of gym/exercise equipment. Don't know what more you could want except maybe a few more resting benches along the main trail for the older folks... Go check it out. Bring the kids.
