I had a same day interview and these guys nailed me out!! Ronnell and Troy are awesome folks with an eye to detail and great professional mindset. They do all sorts of hair styles and even cuts Asian hair too! Anyone who's had experience with tough hair should come here. Highly recommend this place because of the convenience and quality. They prefer appointments but walk ins works (in my case today) too. There's also a pull up bar if you want to get your swole on while you wait. read more

Central Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Seattle, Washington

No corporation or assembly line of haircuts. Just a couple of guys that love to chat and cut hair. Great environment and really spend the time to do the hair right. So long as I live in Washington, Blaine will be the only one to cut my hair. read more

We took our 3-year old son in for a cut and Troy did a great and very detailed job - even though our son was moving around a lot. Fast and friendly service and a clean and well decorated place. The dog was not there when we were, but, seems like he'd be a fun addition. read more

Best haircut experience ever. I was looking at Yelp this morning for a haircut that was more convenient and hopefully open early, when I stumbled across this gem just down the street. I walked down and everyone was outside with their dogs taking a quick break. Troy came over and introduced himself and took care of me. It was the best haircut I believe I've ever had. He took his time and really paid attention to the details, without needing to be asked. He blended everything well, really took extra time trying to tame my cow-lick, and even took care of the little straggler hairs that pop up (yes young people - it's gonna happen and you'll thank Troy as you get older!). But the best part was just the relaxed atmosphere . Friends kept popping in to say hello. They offered me coffee. Their dogs were incredibly sweet and friendly. Everyone was well spoken and just went out of their way to be polite. I don't write a lot of reviews - only when I find something that I think is really special and worthy. This is definitely one of those places! read more

I was a first time customer today and I'll definitely be coming back! Super professional two man shop, with online reservations and most importantly, they give an amazing haircut. I'm always nervous when I go somewhere new, but the cut was on point and exactly what I wanted. It's also great to support a local Central District business. I'll be back! read more

Best haircut I've gotten in a while and all around great experience.

I was excited to go here as it's really close to where I live, so I thought I could maybe drop by while walking my dog. I read the great reviews and saw how personable and polite the employees have been, and in a few of the reviews people have mentioned dogs. Now they prefer you book online, but I recently lost my wallet and I can't book online without a card. I dropped by while walking my dog with some cash in my pocket around an open booking time I saw online. I cracked the door and saw three dogs and asked, "Is it ok if my dog comes in too?" To my surprise, they immediately said, "No we already have three dogs in here." My dog is super chill and the three dogs even came up to her and things were fine. I then asked if they have an open slot soon, and before I finished asking they immediately referred me to book online. Weird because it says they take walkins and it was my intention to get a haircut ASAP. Anyways, I didn't want to border the doorway as the barber handed me a card to go online, so I came in a little further and the other barber rudely scoffed and said, "Get that dog out of here, why would you even ask?" Both barbers had people in their chairs and they just wanted me and my dog to leave. Needless to say, the first impression was the complete opposite from what I've read online, I placed their business card on the chair and told them to have a good day. Also, it's important to note that I did call them to clarify the price, dog friendliness, and availability, but the line just tells you to book on the website. I'm so disappointed because the experience presented so well online. read more

This is hands down the best barber shop I have been to in my entire life. These guys know how to cuz hair! Blaine is an absolute magician with the scissors and upon your arrival you are greeted by the shop mascot. The cutest pitty you have ever seen. 10/10 would recommend this place if you are looking for a new place to try! read more

Had a great experience with Blaine. He was careful and friendly, and did a great job figuring out how to work with my big mop of hair. I also liked the music read more

Troy's been taking care of my hair and beard for a year now and I refuse to go anywhere else. He is hands down the best barber I've ever had. On top of that, he and Ronnel are friendly and always welcoming. I'm happy to have them in the neighborhood. read more

A man searches for two things in life. A good woman and a good barber. I found my barber in Ronnel back in 2009 when he was at Rudy's on Phinney Ridge. The bromance was instant. I followed him when he left for the Roosevelt Barber shop and I've followed him now as he open's up his own place at Central Barber. I don't have the easiest hair to cut and Ronnel always gives it the proper care and attention to detail. He's also quick to listen to the latest in my life and to debate about sports or music. He is exactly what a man needs in a barber. If you don't have YOUR barber, I suggest you make the trip to Central Barber and sit in Ronnel's chair. Your hair will look great and your life will be better for it. Oh...I did find the girl too and Ronnel made sure my hair was perfect and fresh for my wedding. read more

These guys are great! I have been following Ronnel going on 7 years. He has mastered perfect lines for my former mohawk, fresh fades when I cut it all off, awesome beard maintenance, and always works out whatever crazy idea I conjure up next. This new shop is bright and friendly with good vibes, people, and good music. I have never been disappointed or even questioned my cut, it is always on point and they keep my hair looking fresh. I'd trust both the guys here with my cutting needs and you should give them a visit! read more

Easily one of the best haircuts I have had the pleasure of receiving- also very friendly owners. Highly recommend

Can't think of a better business model then this one. He sums it up in one sentence: "I care about my community I want my community to care about me"... This is a powerful and heartfelt mission statement within itself. read more

I work for an assisted living facility in the neighborhood. At one point we had a barber coming in twice a month to do haircuts but due to funding, we lost the ability to provide that service to our residents. We approached the guys at Central Barber Shop and asked about any kind of senior discount they could offer. Our residents do not have a lot of money to spend so we try to find them any savings we can. The guys at the barbershop didn't think that a simple discount would be sufficient, so the offered to do free haircuts for our residents once a month. The staff at central Barber Shop saw a need, and rose to the challenge. Not only do they provide great haircuts, the shop is owned and ran by generous, kind, and all around stand up guys. I Couldn't give a higher recommendation for the shop. read more

I discovered Ronnel when he was in Roosevelt. Best haircut I have ever had so I went back with my 7 year old. Bingo, magic again. Then my daughter, same story. A few years later Ronnel moved to the Central District so I moved with him. My kids are a little older now, it's a longer drive but totally worth the trip - just don't move to Tacoma. Keep up the good work! read more

There's no better place to get cut, while enjoying great conversation and music. Troy and Ronnel do their own thing with class and style. Parking is easy and I've never waited (made appointment ahead) read more

Ronnel and Troy do a great job. Am happy to highly recommend Central Barber from the great haircuts my wife and I have had, and then you hear about how many different ways that they support their community, so 5 stars. There is no 7 star button, otherwise they would get more than 5 stars. read more

Troy cut my hair a couple months ago, and I couldn't be more happy. I'm calling them today to book my second appointment. I don't foresee myself switching to another place anytime soon. Troy and Ronell are both artists and gentlemen and truly make the community a better place. Book your appointment and go! read more

Ronnel gives great haircuts and is a cool guy. Inexpensive, high quality. Nice vibe too

Ronnel is the man. Thorough, patient, easy to chat with, and super reasonably priced, Ronnel is everything you want in a barber. I followed him from the Roosevelt Barbershop to his new place at the Central Barber because I couldn't find anyone else that could compare. I have awful hair (course, curly, thinning, the list goes on) and Ronnel always manages to leave me feeling fresh. He listens to what I want but also knows much better than me what will and won't work for my hair. If you live in the area (or even if you don't), do yourself a favor: stop looking on Yelp and call Ronnel. You won't regret it. read more

Just got the best, most detailed haircuts one could ask for. And for a very reasonable price. Not much more I can say, other than if you want a great haircut, go here! read more

Ronnel has been cutting my hair for over 10 years and I have followed him from Shoreline to Capitol Hill to Phinney Ridge and now to the Central District and his own place. It used to take me two minutes to get to Ronnel. Now it takes 30 plus, but I always look forward to haircut day with my special needs son who Ronnel treats with dignity and respect. Ronnel and Troy are creating a community centered business with the kind of heart that we all could use more of. And as a bonus you get to hang out with Cookie, Mango and Hugo, three of the coolest dogs you'll ever meet. read more
