Dave did an awesome job on my cut! He accurately adapted the pictures I showed him and applied it to my style. I fell in love with shop's atmosphere quickly. Unpretentious, clean, and welcoming. Sipped on a cold beer while talking with fellow clients and it hit the spot. I was missing a decent chair session. Highly recommend and it's my new west coast barber. read more

New client here after booking with Dave and I was very impressed! He gave me a perfect fade--easily 5 stars. The prices are fair, the vibe is laid-back, and the shop's location right next to Trader Joe's makes it super convenient. Glad I found my new go-to spot. read more

I just moved to Seattle and was searching for a good barber who I could trust with my hair, and I just so happened to stumble upon The Keep. Jared was very nice and listened to me about what I wanted and didn't try to rush me. He is very professional and kind, and on top of that, he knows how to cut hair well. I definitely will be going back! read more

Yelp really needs to add a 6 star option for businesses like The Keep. Every barber here is an absolute pro, offering up the freshest cuts with all the best vibes. You can't go wrong with anyone in the shop. Cam is my guy so I'd highly recommend. But Jared, Dave, and Paul are all absolute masters of their craft. These guys will take their time to listen to you and make sure you don't leave until they get you absolutely right. If you're searching for a new barber shop, look no further. The Keep will hold you down! Just don't be that guy and try to walk in without an appointment. Every chair is fully booked cuz they really got it like that! read more

Imagine you go to McDonald's for the first time and order a cheeseburger and they come back with a big mac. You had no idea a burger could be made like that and yet it just was. Let me tell you, I'm a guy, explain to me why I have gotten HOLLERED AT from cars "I love you're hair" or "OKAYYY", and it only ever happens after I get cut from this man Cam at The Keep. It's borderline my last day in Seattle, and as a final action I came here to get RIGHT - verdict? Right as rain. Buttered up like a big mac. looking like I'm gonna get hollered at. Good problems to have. This whole shop is awesome, all the guys chop it up and deliver 10/10 cuts. Really great people to be around, and my favorite barber experience to date. Would recommend them to anyone. read more

Fire cut that grew out very nicely. I have long hair so a long lasting cut is necessary.

I'm originally from Los Angeles and take haircuts very seriously. I've gone here twice and each time I'm just blown away by the experience. Cam is seriously amazing. I have never met a barber who pays this much attention to detail. read more

I came to The Keep a couple weeks after a bad haircut from a different barber and Cam saved the day. I didnt know much about what I wanted or any of the hair cutting terminology but Cam was very patient and took the time to figure out what I wanted and explained how we could best cut my specific hair type and texture. The shop itself is very clean and nice inside, all the barbers are super friendly and you can absolutely tell that they love what they do and take great pride in their work. Cannot recommend highly enough read more

The Keep - Barbers Near Me - Seattle, Washington

I went to the keep for a little over a year for haircuts after my prior stylist moved out of Seattle area. Paul there was great! Great haircut every time. Solid communication. Easy to book. Price was on par with other salons I've visited. All around one of the best on the city. I stopped going recently because I live on the Eastside and found a stylist much closer to me. But if that doesn't work out, I'll be heading straight back to The Keep. read more

I tend to end up here when I get a bad haircut and they fix me right up... Excellent service and a pretty cozy location. Quite close to Trader Joe's, so it's a good place if you're fitting your haircut in for running errands! They gave me an excellent fade and aren't afraid to give you a stylish cut just because of your gender (some places are afraid of giving girls a masculine haircut). I know at least two friends who go here regularly, so it's definitely got a good reputation going in the community. Wish I could go here all the time! Unfortunately I don't live in the area anymore. Solid and excellent. read more

The Keep has become such a great addition to the Seattle barber scene. I've bought several gifts cards for various family members to come visit Jared. Jared is the most kind hearted, generous, and talented barbers in the game. Thank you for always hooking up the best cuts in this city! We all appreciate you for your special talent and your welcoming personality. Go peep The Keep! read more

The Keep - Fact: The infamous Mohammed (he sells flowers on Cap Hill) Jared comes in early just to cut his hair out of the kindness of his heart. - Barbers Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Jared is the best! I have been getting my hair cut with him for a few years now and am very happy with the results every time. Jared is a really friendly guy and fun to talk with. He takes pride in his work- both as a barber and a business owner. You can tell he is putting a lot of care into building out The Keep (it was still under construction when I went, but it's looking great). Make sure to book weeks in advance because spots fill up quick. read more

Absolutely love this shop! Met Jared a few years ago when he was cutting hair in a beer garden at Bumbershoot and instantly knew he was my forever barber. Jared is one of the most genuine and welcoming people I've ever met. His new shop is very nice and comfortable, extremely welcoming. I stop in whenever I'm in the area to just hang out for a bit. Did I mention these guys are top tier in their profession?! Best haircut I've ever had, never missed a hair! Highly recommend you check this place out if you're looking for a new shop. It will be the last barbershop you go to. read more

I met Jared in my search for a barber when I moved to Seattle in 2017. It was actually kind of a funny story where I got another barber who messed up my hair and Jared filled in and fixed it. We laughed about it and quickly formed a friendship. Jared works pretty much 10 hours a day straight. Maybe a 15 minute break in between. The amount of care and detail he puts into his haircut at any point of the day is truly impressive. Not only is he the best barber I've had but he's been a consistent friend throughout my time here. I can't say enough about the person or the professional. When you come to the keep you go to a place that's truly created out of passion for the craft. When you go to Jared you go to someone who's fun, who cares and is always happy to lend an ear and a smile. read more

The best barber I've had. Jared has never delivered anything less than an exceptional cut in the 3 years I've seen him. He's not only an attentive and consistent barber, but also a thoughtful and friendly dude. His new shop is awesome and I look forward to chatting with him every time I visit. You will not find a better barber in Seattle - he's frequently booked out, so make sure to schedule an appointment a couple weeks in advance! read more

Jared is really great! The place is really friendly. I already booked my next appointment.

Jared cuts my boyfriend's hair and always makes him look handsome AF. The store is super cool and I got to see him build the fixtures and bring the store to life. I've tagged along and have sat in on a few haircuts. Jared is super cool and fun to talk to, highly recommend The Keep. Super chill atmosphere, lots of cool guitars and books, the chairs are also vintage and so cool. If your boyfriend gets cut here, it's def fun to tag along with (pre-covid of course..or post covid?) read more

Just went for my appointment and my barber no longer works there, instead of taking responsibility for themselves they left it on him to contact his clients. I drove from Lake City for this appointment since I liked my barber so coming here for no reason is very upsetting. I normally work in Capitol Hill and will usually come after work. Since I work with the public I decided to come on my day off instead of exposing the barbers to myself after working with people all day. All I got was a shrug from the two barbers there with no additional accommodation. Even if I cannot find where my barber went to I will not be trying them again. read more

So there I am minding my own business and a customer walks into my store to tell me that there is a chicken running loose in the parking lot. I go outside and sure as hell, there is a chicken with about 8 people trying to catch it. It was essentially like the scene from Rocky but on steroids. These people are trying their hardest to create a trap for said chicken but the little bird is slippery. Anyways, I crack my knuckles and decide to show these people what the what is. Now I'm no professional chicken wrangler but I've seen a thing or two in my time. 5 minutes later, boom! Chicken is caught. From that day forward the local community referred to me as gallo loco! Anyways, you should get a haircut here. Cam is also Instagram famous and decent at golf. Ask Jared about his iguana smuggling business read more

This place has a great atmosphere, clean space with that old soul barbershop feel. Super clean, runs on time and awesome staff. You can show up here with 3+ months of Covid hair and leave lookin photo ready. Everyone is taking safety precautions and doing their part to keep people safe. Can't wait for my hair to grow back so I can go again! read more

Jared has been my barber for over two years and, honestly, he's one of the best in the business. I have high standards and am picky about how I like my trims to be executed (e.g., no clippers). Jared has always been patient, delivering just what I've asked for, and has not once sent me out the door with anything less than a killer cut. I've had great cuts from guys at top shops in NYC and LA - Jared's craftsmanship is right up there with the best of them. Do yourself a favor - stop looking and book in at The Keep. read more

A barbershop to behold. Jared is a fantastic barber and all around good human. He will take care of you and if you're new, build a lasting professional relationship with his clients. I love this place. Jared has been cutting my hair for a few years now. This shop has the "Old School" feel that is needed in this new age. I always feel like family when I walk through the door. I've been all over the greater Seattle area looking for something like what The Keep has. It is easy to see this is Jared's passion and he truly cares about creating an exceptional experience for everybody that walks into the shop. Jared is by far the best barber I've had in Seattle. I moved here from L.A. and had been bouncing around, never fully satisfied with my haircut or the vibe of the people I had seen. Jared is cool, laid-back, easy to talk to, cuts great hair, does beard trims, knows what you're going for, and makes suggestions based on the look you're trying to achieve. Bonus points: dude just opened his own place so you can support a local business owner directly. Only problem is that he's so good that you need to book out in advance, so make sure to think ahead. read more

Best Barber in town! Make sure you buy one of the Keep's screen printed shirts! The sweatshirts are my favorite!

Jared is a rockstar. I've been seeing him for the last year since I moved to Seattle. He is sociable and welcoming, always remembering the details. His cuts and beard trims are excellent. I would recommend booking Jared 100%! If I ever move from Seattle to somewhere else, I would definitely be sad having to find another barber. read more

Jared is the hottest barber in the Seattle area--you need to schedule weeks in advance to see him. I've been seeing Jared for 3 years since I moved to Seattle because he had the best reviews in the Capitol Hill area. Like most guys, I'm very picky about my haircuts and how it looks, and I never have any concerns with Jared. I have never had a barber who knows my hair so well that I blindly trust him to do whatever with my hair and it always looks better than I hoped. Jared is also very personable and has a genuine interest in barber-client relationships--I feel like I'm getting a haircut from my best friend! read more

Jared has been my barber for a few years now. I followed him from his previous shop and I'm so excited that he has been able to start his own business. Jared has been my barber for 2 years, and I won't go to anyone else. He's skilled in the fine art of making dudes look their best, at least as far as hair and beards are concerned. He's also a super personable guy, and makes you feel at home the moment you walk in the door. A good barber should be a constant in a life full of changes, and he's that. Hurry up and book an appointment, because he's got a long list of loyal clientele who are beating you to it. read more

Was visiting Seattle for a couple months all the way from Philly so had to rely on reviews to find a good barbershop and that led me to The Keep. I described what I wanted to Jared and he gave some input on how he envisioned it, which sounded good to me and he executed it masterfully. Easily the best haircut I've ever got. I took pics of the cut and it will be my example for what I request moving forward. Thanks Jared. read more
