My hair is a mix between Conway Twitty and Jesse Gemstone. I might have been to 2-3 upscale barber shops in my life (I'm mid 50s) and usually get a cut w/ clippers that takes ~ 5 mins. Melanie here listened to what I wanted and gave me the best haircut/style I've ever had. If I was local, I'd never go anywhere else. Fantastic! Shop itself was simple, yet elegant. Highly recommend. read more

I asked Ashley to give me whatever haircut she wanted as long as it was professional looking. Then she gave me the best haircut of my life. 10/10 read more

Simone and her team are the best. I have been coming to Simone's barbershop for over 20 years. A great great haircut and service at a excellent price. Gary D read more

The place looks nice and the location is quite convenient, but they don't know how to cut hair. They are great at talking, though; the hairdressers are nice and talkative, but usually one does not go to a barbershop just to have nice conversations. Last week (July 3rd) I got a horrible haircut which looked like I tried to cut my own hair. They just increased their rates to $50 for a signature haircut. The back of my hair was absolutely uneven and the hair stylist didn't say anything about it. She didn't show me the back of my head on the mirror after the haircut was complete (and I completely forgot to ask to see it). I came to see it a few hours later when my friends started making fun of my haircut. I had to spend the 4th of July with a baseball hat to cover the mess those guys did in my hair. It was not the first time I got a sloppy haircut there, but this time it was so egregious that not only they lost me as a customer, but also deserve this one star review, so people can be aware of the quality of the service they may get there. read more

Been coming here for almost a year now. Very friendly staff and have always understood the style is cut and beard trim I want. Always on time and never had to wait more than 2-3 mins. Recommended to a friend who also was happy with his experience. read more

I have a barber that takes care of my beard back at home, but am on the road for business for about a month and needed a trim. So, I scheduled an appointment with Ashley. Everything looked okay in the beginning until I realized that they employ mostly "cosmetologists" and not real barbers. Still, I went forward based on the 5-star reviews. The beard trim went fine until about 75% of the way through, when I think I hear a little extra cutting (like an inadvertent slip of the clippers) while she's touching up the left side burn. She didn't say anything about it, and I couldn't see any problems from my angle. So, I let it go. I paid out, and walked back to my hotel, where I got a closer look in the mirror. It's then that I realize that my initial instinct was correct - there was, in fact, a huge notch out of the left side of my beard! I totally understand that accidents happen, but the fact that she didn't say a word, took my money, and sent me on my way after this mistake is really unacceptable. This wasn't a mistake that she didn't realize. It was obvious from every angle except from straight on in the mirror. I wish I'd inspected more closely before I left the store. Potential clients beware: this is not a real barbershop. As so many are today, this is just a salon catering to men. There is one person who does straight razor shaves, and she only works during the week. If you're looking for a real barber, look elsewhere. read more

Back-to-back bad hair days equals a trim! Located in the building next to my office, this is my go-to short notice hair spot. I rotate based on whomever has an opening. I've received a great cut each time, so they are hiring the right staff. Prices are average for a decent men's cut. They carry Jack Black and other products if you need something for home. If you are downtown and need a good cut or trim, give them a try. read more

I saw CeCe here for exactly one year. She was probably the best barber (hairdresser?) I've ever had. From the first haircut to the last, I never walked out of that place unsatisfied with the way my hair looked. Her attention to detail was always on point. She takes notes so she remembers exactly what you requested the time before, and she updates those notes. She's also just pleasant to talk to. BTW the girls here also do a straight razor neck shave which is faaaantastic. Ultimately I left Simone David because it got too expensive. For most of the year I was paying $45 per haircut (plus a 20% tip). That's $54 for a haircut. In August I found out the price was being raised to $50 per haircut. Now I can afford this price, but at some point it just seems ridiculous to pay that much for a 30 minute haircut. I probably won't be able to find someone as good as CeCe in the city for a lot less, but I'm not particular enough about my hair to justify the difference in cost. I'm still giving the place 5 stars because they do a fantastic job. If you're comfortable paying that much you'd be hard pressed to find a better establishment or a better barber/haircutterperson than CeCe. read more

The place took me walking in without appointment--for a quick beard trim even though it was completely packed. Tara was great. It's the right price for the right level professionalism and service. read more

Excellent experience! Ashley is amazing. I've had two haircuts with her. First one was great, the fade was on point, but I've got a funny shaped head.. a few days later I felt we could have gone higher up on the sides. I called back and Ashley took me in the next day and hooked me up! Great costumer service and very friendly. Ashley is my go-to from here on out. Thank you! read more

Ashley is my preferred stylist and does a fantastic job! My wife declared my first haircut here to be the best I ever had - that's a mighty tall compliment and I would agree. She made notes on exactly what she did for my cut so I can just walk in now without needed to give instructions. They also provide a variety of other add-on services. This is one of the few places where you can actually get a shave as well. I'm sure the other stylists are just as good, but I'll pick my day based on Ashley's schedule. read more

Everyone here is amazing. Simone runs a clean, happy efficient shop where everyone is glad to see you and the styling cant be beat. I see Stephanie every two weeks for a haircut and beard trim. She is the best. Teryl gave my son his first haircut and she is also amazing. If you want to look great and feel good getting there, check out Simone David. They're simply the best. read more

This place is waaaaayyyyy too expensive. My bf went here today because his usual barber didn't have any openings. He paid $100 ($90 +10 tip) on a haircut, brow and beard trim. The picture he showed the barber had a skin fade, which he did not receive. His brow wax is subpar, there's still a lot of hair left. He even asked me to pluck his brows for him when we get home. He also got his beard done which was trimmed but NOT cleaned up. His last haircut from his usual barber was $30 and he also tips another $30 because knows what a good haircut is worth. I've worked in a salon my whole life because my mom owns one in another state and I just want to say this haircut was NOT worth $90. read more

Simone David Barbershop is a top notch place for a great haircut! Cece is my preferred stylist and she's always a pleasure to talk with. Prices are a bit steep, $45 for a standard haircut, with extras costing more. I've been coming here for over a year now and would recommend it to all my friends. read more

After years of going to salons that are designed to cater to women and trying to find a barber shop that was clean and consistent I had the good fortune of finding Simone's. If you are a guy and want a good quality haircut in an atmosphere that is clean, relaxed, high end and comfortable you owe it to yourself to try it out. I have had my haircut by numerous stylists there over the years and have never had a bad experience but, I have to say the very best haircut was when someone called in sick and Simone stepped in and cut my hair; she's rocks. read more

Great atmosphere and a thorough cut for a reasonable price. Best bang for my buck I've had with a barber in Seattle.

I love this place. Always super friendly and fun. Katie and Stephanie have been my two loyal providers and they do a fantastic job! Highly recommend them. Great value for what you get. Best in Seattle for Men's haircuts. read more

Excellent service and I have always been very pleased with my cut. They are personal and attentive. Hot coffee and mint upon arrival is a plus! Warm neck shave really makes this a special experience. The cost is well worth it. I view this as a personal indulgence not just a haircut. I've been going for over a year and never been disappointed. read more

I LOVE this shop! Teryl Hawk has been taking great care of me and my remaining hair (joking!) for over 5 years. She's amazing, has a great sense of humor, is very customer service focused and is passionate about doing the best job, every time. The location is awesome and the whole ambiance is tailor-made for guys without being over the top macho. There's always a smiling face at the front, whether it be Simone herself, your stylist/barber or the Receptionist/Scheduler and they always offer a complimentary coffee or bottled water. Cannot recommend this place enough. read more

Katie is dreamy. She faded me lower than Miley's twerk. Even though she was a bombshell hottie, she was still professional and customer oriented. She squeezed me in for her last appointment on Saturday and sculpted me into a supermodel. I didn't know that my hair had so much potential, but she unlocked it. The staff was friendly, and the music playlist set the perfect mood for when that foxy barber ran her fingers through my hair. Katie is my new regular barber. read more

I really enjoyed the outcome of my haircut. Andrea knows how to texture my hair and I wasn't disappointed.

Very professional. Had Simonne for my hair, and the service was great, despite me showing up 10m late. I had my beard trimmed by someone else who's name escapes me. Planning on going back, they even took notes on what they did, which I don't think is very common. read more

I have been a client of Cece here at Simone Barbershop for a little over a year now. She is incredible at her job. I will continue to be a returning customer simply because of her. read more

Best haircut I have had in ages! Meticulous care and professional service. Been getting compliments all day. Well done.

I have been going here for over a year. Awesome service. Cece and Tarol are great. I have purchased a membership twice now, good deal.

I have been going to Simone David for several years, as they give the most quality haircut in Seattle. I have been to several other stylists prior to Simone David and these other stylists just don't take the time to make sure the cut is quality. Unless she is unavailable I go Teryl, who is caring, kind, and attentive with each and every haircut. I love the location, it is easy to find - it's right in the heart of downtown, and they give you a good cup of coffee when you arrive, which is a warm touch when you're coming in from the cold Seattle rain. Simone David is locally owned, so they treat you personally and not like a number. Thank you Teryl and Simone David! read more

I've been coming here for over a year now and j absolutely love the place as well as my stylist Heather! She's amazing at her job and we always have fun stories to share. It's hard to find good and personable service professionals in the city so I feel pretty lucky. The booking system that they use is phenomenal -- I really wish more places implemented something like it. Oh, and they found a shampoo for me that was exactly what I needed and handles my hair needs like nothing before -- without a markup and without some sort of sketchy "store brand". I'm glad they divorced from Capelli's because they were starting to lean down that road... read more

Simone David (formerly Capelli's at City Center) is a wonderful barber-shop experience. You get friendly, actual barbers who listen well and provide excellent service. Clippers, scissors, and straight razors are all wielded by professionals who listen to you and give you the look you are aiming for. 42 bucks gets you the Signature Haircut, which is a shampoo/scalp massage, cut, hot towel, and straight-razor neck shave. Atmosphere is professional salon meets mancave meets sports bar. They are still rebranding and getting their online system set up and running after a split from Capelli's, but the service is tip-top, and definitely worth trying. Use the phone for now, and the online system once it's at 100%. read more
