Terrible and verbally abusive behavior from Max. We have reported this incident to the CEO of…read moreAmerican Home Shield.
Our home warranty company (American Home Shield) contracted Savvy Tech to repair our dishwasher. The technician, Max, had arrived for an initial inspection, said a specific part needed to be ordered, and that it would arrive in a week which is when the repair would happen. That one week came and went, and Max arrived three weeks later instead. In addition, he arrived 30 minutes earlier than his scheduled time and within five minutes of arriving, stormed out of our home in a frightening fit of rage without repairing anything after I had waited almost a month for this repair.
My son, who didn't know this guy was even coming, let him in and courteously asked if he would like him to empty the dishwasher for him. Max condescendingly responded "you should have done it a long time ago." This was literally his introduction; he was still walking through the door, and it hadn't even been 20 seconds since his arrival when he spoke like this. My son, who was absolutely stunned by Max's behavior, calmly explained to him that he does not know who had angered him but not to take it out on him, and that this is not how one behaves in someone else's home. Max proceeded to walk into the kitchen and hostility began to remove the dishracks from the dishwasher, slamming them onto the kitchen island, move prepared food on our kitchen island and put them into the sink with nobody's permission, loudly complain that I was not home yet (again, he was 30 minutes early), and was even insulting my son while doing all this. My son stood in silence in disbelief and called me to report this to me.
When I arrived two minutes later and reminded Max that he was very early which is why the dishwasher hadn't been emptied yet, Max completely lost his temper and began shouting at the top of his lungs at me. My son, in a calm manner, told him to lower his voice. At that point, Max rose up, towering over us, said he refuses to do the job, and continued shouting and flailing his arms and acting in a genuinely frightening manner. He abandoned the job before even starting and left our dishwasher in the middle of our kitchen and left our kitchen island in a mess he had made. He even randomly shouted that he is a millionaire while storming out. In all of my years, I had never witnessed someone in a professional capacity behaving this way. The cherry on top of all this is that he falsely marked the job as "completed" in the system.
When we called the owner of Savvy Tech, Mohsen, to report this incident, he completely dismissed our safety concerns, refused to apologize, and defended Max. He even claimed Max is not his employee but rather his business partner which can easily be contradicted with a little research. Looking at other reviews, it's clear that Max has a documented history of severe anger issues. No one should ever have to feel unsafe in their own home. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company entirely.
