Our dishwasher stopped working with the H20 warning sign, I was able to youtube what was needed to be fixed but didn't want to do it for safety reasons. It was $60 for them to come out and look at our appliance, the tech wasn't able to figure out why it was causing the alert. When I explained what was happening based on my youtubing - I asked him to try what I had found out. He cleared the filter and cleaned out the sensor and it fixed the issue. Total cost was $120, which was a little steep of maybe a 30 minute fix that I told them how to do but I was just happy it was done and they were super kind. My husband was out of town and I'm pregnant so it was important to have the dishwasher fixed immediately. He gave some great tips to prevent it from happening again. read more

When I see a business that has overwhelming 5-star ratings, I have no choice but to give them my business. The reviews for Nice Guy Appliance are over the top. I contacted them for a dryer repair. (My Whirlpool Duet suddenly started making a harsh, grating sound.) They got back in touch with me within two days. I gave them my window of availability and they put me on the schedule by the afternoon, 3:30-6:30 on a Thursday. That day, Frank arrived at 4:00 and got to work. I told him what was wrong, he diagnosed it immediately, gave me an informed estimate, and went to work fixing the problem. (An informed estimate told me that I had a good machine that would last me a few more years, and that he had exactly the parts needed in his truck. His estimate was $279.) One hour later, after vacuuming the inside of the machine and replacing the necessary parts and giving me safe advice about washers and dryers, Frank switched on the dryer and it ran perfectly. i payed with Zelle, but they take checks and credit cards too. Giving credit to where credit is due. Nice Guy Appliance Repair responded to my call for help regarding our refrigerator. Lindsay quickly sent me yelp massages and txt messages to get more information regarding our refrigerator issues. After explaining the problem to Lindsay, she was able to schedule a service call to my house on the very same day I placed a request. From there I was told that Frank would be coming over and assess the problem and will give us a quote for the service. Frank arrived on time and was able to give me a fair estimate on what needs to be done. He procured the part that was needed and came back same day to complete the job. I chose this company to repair a washer based on the great reviews given to this company. But I was disappointed at the poor communication. There was a fast response after inquiry. I messaged them late in the evening regarding the issue of my washer. I received a response within minutes. A technician was scheduled to come the day after. A pleasant technician diagnosed the washer and a deposit was provided. However, there was POOR communication after deposit was made. Messages are ignored... Meaning they look out for the interest of the customer, vs simply making money from a transaction. I reached out to them as I had a leak in our Sub Zero fridge/freezer - and because they respect their clients, and the appliances they service, out of transparency they explained that the one and only tech that does service this make for their company is out for a month due to a surgery. Instead of trying to repair something a tech usually would not touch, they decided to refer me to a competitor that does. I thought this was very pro customer, kind, and a proper way to do business.
