All I can say is like others has posted, if you get Max then everything will be just fine. I put in to have my fridge work on through my warranty company (AHS). As you know it's a hit or missed type of thing as who they send out will be able to actually fix the problem. Max came in and went right to work and knew what was likely the problem. At first he thought that I might need a part, but within minutes of taking the back panel off he found out what the situation was and had my fridge cooling bad to normal with an hour. He was something that is few and far between in today world. Courtesy, confidence , & considerate. He said that if there's any problems after he leaves please give a call back, but guess what there are non. All I can say is if you ever call savvy tech definitely request for Max, you won't regret it. read more

1/20/202 and 1/21/2022 Savvy Tech subcontracts under American Home Shield warranty and consistently called the wrong contact numbers at 7:30-7:45 am. They did not answer or return calls during the normal work hours. My tenant is without an range as I try to coordinate service between American Home Shield, Savvy Tech and the property manager. Update on 1/21/2022: The range is a collectable antique O'keefe & Merritt. According to American Home Shield the technician is qualified on this brand of anitque range. The Savvy Tech technician misinformed American Home Shield the oven has a busted pipe that could not be repaired. Update on 1/24/2022: Called a different company than Savvy Tech or American Home Shield and the problem was easily fixed. The technician replaced a leaky tube. As can be seen in the picture this was a minor repair that took 15 minutes and which any handyman could do. The tube as a pin hole from oven cleaning. Update on 4/8/22: After seeking a refund from AHS for months and having multiple unfulfilled promises from AHS, it is obvious this is a warranty deception consisting of a network of unqualified subcontractors. AHS charges $100 for a service call and ~$50 a month with no intention of delivering on their service agreement. AHS "customer service" is very scripted, controlled and sounds exactly like the Extended Auto Warranty scams that proliferate with robocalls. Even the dialects of AHS "service representatives" is the same as the robocalls. If you are thinking of purchasing a home warranty, I strongly recommend visiting the Tennessee Better Business Bureau site for real reviews of this service. Also note that AHS is based in Tennessee but licensed for tax purposes in Delaware. read more

They do not return calls and when they finally pick up they act as if they never got a message from me. I would give them a No star if I could. Than the owner hangs up on me because I told him I needed it fixed right away. They don't care about the quality of their work ; if they did they would make it priority to fix the mistake they did. This company is contracted by my home warranty company. The tech called and cam out the first time. He was pleasant. Didn't have parts. Said he would order them and call and come back but warned that it may take a few weeks. A week later I get a text from either american home shield or savvy tech, not a call from my technician, advising he was scheduled to return. Great, right? I left two adults at home and I went into the office. I missed his call while I was in a meeting so he decided not to show up even though two adults were waiting for him at his scheduled time. I've since been calling his office and no one answers and voice mail is always full so you can't even leave a message. And he hasn't even bothered calling back to confirm his return. Forget about getting help from my warranty company. They've proven to be completely useless. Go with an other warranty company and if you have to contact a tech outside of a warranty company, don't contact this one....well, you might never get through anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem. read more

I think this is my first time in over 10 years of using Yelp that I've left a negative review, but I am absolutely fuming at the way Savvytech just treated me at my home. After it happened, I looked at Yelp and saw MULTIPLE one-star reviews for very similar issues involving Savvytech's relationship with American Home Shield (AHS). My husband and I have been dealing with gas leaking from our stove. SoCal Gas diagnosed the problem three separate times, and a plumber found the same leak last week. I have video documentation of the problem. We are without a working stove and have taken significant time away from our work days to address the problem. This morning, Savvytech came out for the second time, as requested by AHS. Without running any diagnostics at all, the tech said, "When the customer has the mentality that there is a problem, even if I were to fix it, you would still say its broken." My jaw DROPPED at why on EARTH this man is accusing me and my husband of making up a gas leak, that we somehow convinced SoCal Gas and another plumbing company to conspire with us on? I was floored at this comment and rightfully requested to not be spoken to in that manner. The tech left the home after I asked my husband to come downstairs and help explain the issue. I am beyond confused and upset by this situation, and I felt extremely mistreated as a young female homeowner being accused of making up a GAS LEAK. Please please please, there are SO MANY amazing local businesses to support, who actually treat their customers respectfully. Please consider going elsewhere. Very irresponsible service tech. Despite me telling him my 5 over year old refrigerator isn't cooling after being fixed 6 months ago when the compressor was replaced, he said he suspects that the previous guy didn't fill the up the freon up to specs. All he did was adding the freon and said I can called him back anytime within 2 months if it is still not cooling. When I called the next month, he asked me to make a request thru American Home Shield where they requested another service fee again. I called him again and he said forget AHS and he will send me his diagnostic report/receipt with a link to file a warranty claim directly with the manufacturer. Savvy tech came out on 9/27/2022 was sent thru American home shield. They initially never talked to me to set up appointment they just did it and I received an email with a time although not convenient for me. The guy comes out isn't very pleasant then takes apart fridge and says parts will take 2 weeks, I was concerned cuz that's a long time. He gets it changed to 7 business days supposedly. That comes and goes I contact American home shield to see what's up because I've called savvy tech and no answer. After 13 days American home shield tells me they requested more info from him 9/28/2022 and he has never gotten back to them. They call him I get an email next day saying parts are ordered, still haven't heard from savvy. I have children in the house and am on a very limited income, cannot afford to eat out so much. We had to throw everything away cuz after a few weeks in cooler, condiments were even ruined. Communication goes along way maybe savvy should practice better communication read more

They were hired by AHS for my appliance service call. The technician Max came out to do the diagnosis, said it's easy he can fix the door hinges of the microwave coz it won't close and won't heat up. He came in replaced the hinges, however he couldn't attach the circuit to make it to work. Took him over an hour and a half and going in and out of my house trying to figure it out and it won't work. He was sweating trying to read the manual then he said he can't fix it. Next thing I heard, he filed a separate report to my home owners insurance saying the door hinges was broken due to force. Why would he even replace it if that was the cause? read more

I contacted him and got confirmation that he will be available to come in today - Labor Day - to fix my dishwasher. I took off time from work and stayed home according to what he said. He indicated he will be here 9-12 pm. I texted him around 11:50 am to find out where he is at? he didn't respond for over an hour - Still he has not responded. I contacted AHS to find out he had cancelled my order without telling them why and without letting me know he is not coming. I would not trust him. I requested someone else for my service. He must have found another job for more $$$ or decided to take a day off in my expense. I would think twice before looking into his company. I would give him negative review if I could. read more

This is a personal company with only one repairman, and if he is not responsible, you are almost desperate. I requested repair service through AHS and they sent the mechanic Max. Max came to make a diagnosis and said that he can easily repair the dishwasher in my house. He replaced some parts which turned out that were not the problem and left in a hurry, unwilling to wait for the completion of a cycle. We soon find the dishwasher still not working. I told him the dishwasher wasn't fixed, he just thought it was a problem with the dishwashing salt, even though he know it isn't. He was blindly confident in his business ability. When I asked him to come again, he first agreed and then didn't show up. He was so rude on the phone call after that. He hung up before I finished speaking. I don't know why he is so angry, all I know is that he didn't really complete his job and I was using my rights. read more

This was the 2nd time for this business to be called to my home. The first time was last year when we had a problem with our refrigerator, and it resulted in a successful outcome, so I figured that we might have the same outcome with our gas stove. This time, he arrived at exactly the time he said he would be here, which is a plus. He quickly got down on the floor and analyzed the problem as a faulty igniter (and not a sensor) issue. He gave us the price that would include the repair and the installation, and we accepted, and he had everything all done within the hour. We have been favorably impressed, both times now.
