Short version: CALL THEM! Good followup, showed on time, fixed my Samsung gas dryer quickly, and…read moreat a fair price. if you're out of warranty, don't bother calling samsung or their authorized repair companies. Longer: Dryer is 5 years old, and wouldnt spin. Called samsung, they told me warranty is only 1 yr, so its not coverd, but referred me to two authorized repair shops. Both have horrible reviews on yelp. Still called them, and they never even called me back to setup the repair visit. Called David's, and a nice lady(Bill's wife?) called me back in about an hour, and we booked our time slot for quote/repair. I was given a 3-4 hour window in which they would show up... which makes sense considering, there's no way to know for certain how long a repair visit before mine will take. Asked them to give me a call on the way. Bill (business owner) personally made the trip and called me on his way as promised. When Bill got here, i explained the issue, and he guessed it would likely be one of two problems based on his 20+ years of experience. He also told me what each of those would cost to repair. Upon opening up my dryer, he was correct, and it was one of those two problems. My belt tensioner pulley had broken and he replaced with an upgraded one and even showed me how the new part was more efficient. Whole affair took maybe 30 mintues, including Bill's courteous vaccuuming of lint inside the body of the dryer. Dryer now works great, and it was a very pleasant experience. Bill was courteous, professional, and just a nice guy. On top of everything else, i told bill i was having a minor issue with my second fridge and he actually explained what the problem was and taught me how to fix it! He said it was an easy fix, and since that kind of problem can be a chronic issue, he felt it just made more sense to explain to me how to fix it so i can handle it in the future. Did not charge me a penny for that nugget of info. Now i know how to keep my dedicated beer fridge in good order. THanks Bill!

Later that day I found that the refrigerator leaked when using the water dispenser. My refrigerator is as good as new (and it is over 20 years old). Yan was so pleasant to work with, is an excellent technician, and would NOT even accept a tip! Price was fair and I have now found the company I will call for all my appliance repairs. I highly recommend Meteor Appliance Repair.

Recently, my dryer stopped omitting heat. Technician Vladimir was dispatched to diagnosed the problem. Vladimir disassembled my dryer and showed me why it wasn't working. True to his word, within a couple of days, Vladimir came back out and installed the new part and my dryer is working great. Ultimately saving me from having to purchase a new dryer Vladimir was polite, friendly, very professional and extremely thorough. Outstanding job Vladimir! I also should mention how friendly their office staff is when calling for service. The office makes it very easy to set up an appointment. Outstanding job all the way around Meteor! Thank you.

I was very hesitant trying out anyone random on Yelp since I needed one right away. Tuesday morning, after speaking to at least four companies, based on their initial fee, response time, and availability, I'm so glad I went with Appliance Repair SFM. Jake was our technician and I was impressed how he quickly started to take apart the dryer and inspect what was wrong with it. I was anticipating the dreadful answer of buying a new one, and thankfully that wasn't the outcome. Jake showed me that the belt was worn out and the inside of the drum that had some type of plastic covering over the metal was gone and needed replacing, it also needed a good cleaning. Jake told me how much parts were plus labor, which was reasonable rather than buying a new dryer! Since he had to order parts, he would finish the project by Thursday or Friday and he gave me his business card if I had additional questions. I didn't hear from Jake on Wednesday, so I called him, and he picked up! He said the parts weren't in yet and he'd contact me on Thursday, which he did, in addition to setting up a time on Friday he'd come by to complete the project. In conclusion, Jake was a pleasure to work with. He's responsive, respectful, honest, and didn't try to upsell me on anything. I'd definitely contact him again if I do have other repairs needed.

All of my communication with "Henry" before the appointment was through text only, and I genuinely do not remember the $60 fee ever being directly communicated to me in our messages. The technician later stated that the fee was clearly listed when I booked. However, I never logged into the "Thumbtack app" nor I was prompted to do so, it actually states I can continue to message through text. When I questioned the charge, the technician told me he could not leave my property until I paid the $60, which made me feel pressured and uncomfortable. What concerned me even more was when I asked the technician which company he was with, he told me "ACE." I specifically asked if he meant ACE in Hacienda Heights, which is a completely different company, and he said yes. It wasn't until afterward that I discovered the actual company name through Thumbtack. After this happened, I had to create an account to see the actual company name and the full pricing information, including the $60 fee. I understand service fees are common, but I believe they should be clearly communicated upfront, especially when communication is being handled through text. Customers should also be given accurate information about who is providing the service. Overall, the lack of transparency and the way the situation was handled left me feeling misled and uncomfortable.

They were on time, communicative, honest, and their pricing was fair. What especially left a good impression on us was that instead of simply ordering and replacing the entire display, they went the extra mile to troubleshoot the problem and figure out a way to repair it. That ended up saving us money and showed us that they were actually interested in solving the problem rather than just replacing expensive parts. We really appreciated that. We'll definitely contact AngelSky again for any appliance service or repairs we need down the line.
