I was the oldest dude in the shop, but the staff saw that immediately and came to my aid. They were informative and supportive of my great adventure. We closed the deal quickly and I was comfortable with the interaction, humor, and compassion. Looking around, I realized that a lot of dads accompany their kids to Gamestop, and we all have the same slightly bewildered looks on our faces. As long as we control the wallet and we are willing to learn, this is a decent experience. Perhaps, they should offer classes for parents. They were so enthusiastic about the Gameboy games my fiancé had. It was nice to see them get excited about games that were popular in the 90's and 2000's. We overheard them saying that they typically match whatever GameStop is currently offering in store credit. To our surprise, they gave my fiancé more than GameStop would have if we would've gone there. This is why it matters to support small businesses. A company dealing in video games has one basic responsibility: to ensure the product functions. Kill Screen Games failed at that most fundamental level.
