I got this private clay throwing class as a surprise for my wife. We absolutely loved it. It was so much fun making our pieces. Cait was so sweet (& her French Bulldog Reggie). I made a vase. My wife made a bowl & lid. I accidentally broke a part of my vase off at the top while making it. But Cait gave me a great idea. Why not put roses at that spot? She showed me how to make them. I would have never thought that I could make something like this. 2 weeks later we went back to paint our pieces (a few doors down at a different studio). Even after a few coats, the paint looked dull. Then we went back at a later time to pick our pieces up. WOW!! You can see in the included photos. The firing brings the colors out so vibrant. It was worth every penny for this wonderful experience with such a wonderful staff. Thank you. We look forward to our next visit. read more

This place has the same concept as Color Me Mine, except not nearly as many options for pieces and paint. It's also a bit more expensive that CMM and doesn't offer other ways to paint aside from just standard paint brush. CMM offers all sorts of sponges and tools and stencils, etc. That being said, Create Me Pottery Studio is not a bad place to check out, especially on a cold or rainy day, with kids perhaps. But keep in mind that it does get pricey. My boyfriend and I went and spent about 70 bucks painting a mug and a small vase. They do host lots of different events which can be found on their website. Love love love this place. I've been to CMPS multiple times with my grandchildren. I know I have a better time than they do. Great choices of ceramics and amazing choices of paint colors. A friend and I were treating my niece and nephew to a fun day out, and I think we may have had more fun than the kids (8 & 10). When you first walk into Create Me, you'll be greeted by a member of the courteous staff, and they will guide you through the process. The hardest thing for me was picking a piece to paint--there is a huge selection! From cats and superheroes to owls and mugs, there really is something for everyone. Among the four of us, we picked Batman, Wonder Woman, a mug, and a gumball machine. After you pick your pottery, you pick what colors you'll use to paint (again, the staff is there to help you). While we were painting, we were treated to Disney music because there was a children's party going on earlier (I had no complaints as I'm a child at heart). The store typically plays classical music, which is very relaxing while creating your work of art. We met the owner, Apple, who is very sweet and great with everyone she works with. She helped me with some of the final touches on my Batman. Once you are finished painting, leave the rest of the work to the staff! They will glaze and bake your pottery, and shoot you a text (or email/call) when it's ready to be picked up. I bought a Groupon for Create Me and decided to redeem it today. It was rainy and hot and my daughter was bored. A trip to this place was just what we needed! It was easy to find and there were plenty of open spots in the lot. We walked into the store and we're told to select a piece to work on. There were trinket boxes, plates, vases, mugs, etc. Prices ranged from $15 to $50 from what I saw. Once we selected our ceramics we were shown the colors to choose from. We selected our colors and got to work. I really lost track of life and became completely immersed in my painting. It was so relaxing and three hours later I was just finishing up! Once our work was complete our names were written on our finished pieces. I will come back in about a week to pick them up. I can't wait to see the end results! Kudos to Apple and her team for bringing a fun, affordable activity to the area. I'm already planning my next visit with my daughter, with my friends, by myself..... read more

This place is located right near my parents house and it makes for a fun afternoon. They have great holiday pieces and other ceramics to choose from. I also like that when a movie comes out in theaters, they have pieces to resemble the new movies. When teenage mutant ninja turtles came out, I went in and found some of those pieces. Very up-to-date on ceramic choices with constant new arrivals. The atmosphere is very relaxing and Apple (the owner) is very sweet and helpful. I love the array of painting tools, stamps, sponges and colors. This place deserves to be recognized. If you're looking to clear your head for a couple hours or enjoy a date night, or a girls/guys night, I highly suggest you try it. The proprietor, Apple is a wonderful person to work with. She is extremely pleasant and great with people of all ages. I brought 5 children with me (6, 5, 3, 3, and 1) to do an art activity on a snowy day. My children are very curious about the pottery shop (especially the the 3 and 1 year olds)) so they were a little loud and boisterous. Apple was very patient with them and made sure they had a good time. She kept them entertained and distracted with all of the paint colors and their projects. I would definitely go back. read more

I hosted a friend's birthday party here and Apple and her coworkers were very accommodating. They have excellent supplies and choices and it's byob. Again great for small parties. The bday girl enjoyed and relaxed while painting away:) Paint is easily washable with water if on clothes or hands, and it takes 10 days to dry and fire glaze your product. I wanted to do something different with my girlfriend instead of the usual movie and dinner date. I remember driving past this place on my way to fine wine and good spirits. I decided to take her here. Once we got here, the owner explained how everything worked and what to expect. We picked out our pottery and colors and we started painting away. The owner would check on us from time to time to make sure we were okay. She was great.. By the time we finished, a couple of hours just flew by. We had a great time. Not worth it! The piece was picked up and brought home only to discover the paint was PEELING off! Someone did not bother to care about that when they wrapped it. Then I needed to go to the store again to sort it out. They refunded the sitting fee and the cost of the pottery, which was the LEAST they could do, since there is nothing to show for the time there. read more
