Wow just wow! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is pretty tiny. They also have outdoor seating. It's very hip.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When you arrive it's a little difficult to figure out what is happening we went on a Friday night and it was super busy! Our waitress was nice, was able to rush our order because we had a comedy show to attend a block or so down. The food is just really good! We ordered the bread, and 4 pizzas. It was so yummy!!!! Please be ready to wait, but it's worth it. Parking is close but there is street parking too. The cost $164.
First things first. Our server, Caleb, was phenomenal. He was friendly, personable, and very knowledgeable about the products and ingredients and preparation. 10/10 for this guy. While there are limited options by the glass, the red wine I had was perfect, and turned out to be a perfect accompaniment to the pizzas we ordered. We got the Pink, the White, and the Pepp. The pink had a nice slow burn due to the spicy vodka sauce but was the favorite between the three. The White was good but I thought needed some variation in the textures or the richness. Maybe I would add tomato next time? The Pepp was much too spicy for me but thankfully got a to-go box and my husband will love it. There were two factors that weren't great aspects of the visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First was the lighting in the back room. It was very difficult to read the menus because the lighting was dim and kept changing colors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Or maybe it was the black on red printing of the drinks menu? [[HIGHLIGHT]]Secondly the chair was not at all comfortable. The back was very low so even though I hung my purse on it, my purse was dragging on the floor, and the seat of the chair was shallow and my larger than small behind would have liked some more room on the seat![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
Late one night in downtown Cleveland, we had the munchies and a craving for pizza, so we wound up getting Cent's Pizza. Specifically, two cheese pizzas and a Deep House salad (endives, frisee, cilantro, dill, coriander, aleppo, vinaigrette and EVOO). We were so hungry, and the food was so good, we dove in and it was gone before I could grab decent photos. Cleveland may not be known for its pizza scene (yet) but Cent's is worth a trip for anyone looking for gourmet pie in the City of Cleves. If you're in town, give Cent's a try - you won't be disappointed!
[[HIGHLIGHT]]Brooklyn meets CLE! This is the vibe I felt when entering and dining here. Visiting from NYC, I was curious about the pizza scene at Cents. Funky, retro vibes in a cozy intimate setting. Great spot for small groups or date night. They have a back patio open in the summer too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It gets busy so go early on a weeknight.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pizza was excellent! Wood fired goodness! We ordered a few pink, green, and white pizzas to share, deep house salad, pickle party, tiramisu, and spumoni. The pink pizza was my favorite! The pickle party looks simple but surprisingly good! Deep house salad was fresh. Save room because the desserts are a must! We had some leftover pizza between five people. I'd suggest not saving because the pizza tastes best when fresh. A day later and not as good. Street parking available. Restrooms available and no stairs to access the restaurant. Hope to check out the patio one day! Some of the best pizza in Cleveland!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside is funky, cool, and has a really cool vibe but the music is a bit too loud and with the conversations happening, it's a lot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their wait is very long, we came on Sunday, about 30 mins after opening and waited a little over an hour. We got their Wonder Bread with butter and it was absolutely delicious. However, the price for the bread and butter is a bit expensive. We got the Pink with sausage and Gravy pizza. The Pink was phenomenal and very good. The Gravy was good but it does not have the typical layer of cheese and it was definitely missing in that taste. Overall, very good, made well, and quality food. Staff was very nice and helpful! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have outdoor seating but because we came during the cold season, it wasn't open. I think it would be nice during the warmer months.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would come back because their food is pretty good. I would make sure to come at a better time to have a better wait time. I would recommend for a casual date, good pizza, and cool vibes.
Cent's is hands down my favorite place for pizza. The salads and cocktails are amazing also. They don't take reservations so we usually have a wait. This time we were seated right away. In the warmer months they have indoor and outdoor seating. The decor is fun and whimsical. The staff are very friendly and organized. You can tell they work well as a team. They usually play old movies in a screen near the bar. It is also fun to browse the retail area when you are waiting. They have some unusual finds.
[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place for small parties but not built to accommodate more than 4, making seating awkward for our family of 7.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pizzas, however, are stellar with several unique pies. I enjoyed a pie that featured cream cheese, red onions, capers and speck. Spectacular pairings though a simple white sauce might be better. Ordinary pies were extraordinary. Cocktails rock too. Don't sleep on the puffy bread, it's the best. Staff were awesome.
Amazing experience, service and food. I've tried 3 times to go here and finally made it in, tried everything the Caesar and the pink pizza were my favorite along with the MIZU drink! The staff is lovely, one male overheard me in between 2 drinks and he brought me over a small taster of the drink with garnish and all and it was delicious and so thoughtful! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is so cool and different i will definitely be coming back if I can ever get back in![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]:)
updating my review to 5 stars. Probably my fav pizza in Cleveland! they have really expanded their menu with several more vegetarian options. My favorite is the pink pizza which has the most flavorful vodka sauce. Additionally rh cocktail menu has been revamped. Also the wonder bread is a MUST. It's so fluffy and perfectly salty. Try it with the straticella. You won't regret it! you might have to wait during the weekends but it's more than worth it. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu
Came here for a date night and it did not disappoint. It was my date's second time here and my first time here. For an appetizer, we got the Wonder Bread - we had to try it as newbies and I am SO glad we did!!! It was heaven! We got both the butter and chili garlic crisp with it. I recommend getting both and mixing them together to drip the bread in! Our server let us in on that for more flavor! For entrees, we got two pizzas - the "Pink" pizza (I added ricotta on top) and the "Gorf" pizza. The pizzas were both served warm, delicious, and flavorful. I was so shocked to see a pizza with vodka sauce on it - YOU NEED TO TRY THE PINK PIZZA!!! Cents took #1 pizza spot from this visit.
Long wait, but they don't take reservations and it was a Saturday night. Loved the vibes, but music was a little too loud. Disco ball was a nice touch! Pizza was ok overall. Service was decent as well
Owner greeted us at the door. Everyone working there seemed truly happy. Incredible service. So warm and kind. And the food was fantastic! Cents for the win. It's our new pizza place.

I saw an Insta post a while ago in which Michael Symon named Cent's as one of his 4 favorite Cleveland pizza spots. Naturally, it's been on my list since! I grabbed the girlies and we made plans for a Thursday night. First guest arrived around 5:45 and the only reason she had to wait is bc the rest of us weren't there yet. I'm sure other evenings have a longer wait, but today we hit the sweet spot. It's small inside, but there were still plenty of tables. Do not be scared of people saying the wait is always long! Clearly, it's not. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like the open kitchen - it creates some anticipation when you can see them hard at work crafting the perfect meal![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]My only note- the weird log seats were rather uncomfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was fantastic. His vibe matched the restaurants ambiance- cool, casual, friendly, vibrant. He made some recommendations which we took. I wish I could have remembered the wine we ordered, but all our drinks were delicious. One had the Spa Water Spritz and she said it was very refreshing. We started with the highly recommended Wonder bread. It arrived steaming hot with delicious cultured butter. It was just bread, right? But somehow the simplest of things surprise you. It was so tasty. Light and soft, with a little crunchy crust, light salt flavor. This was absolutely perfect bread. Don't skip it We tried these pies, In ranked order: 1) pink. The sauce had a great spice to it. Vodka sauce is so thick, I expected the pie to be slathered, but it wasn't. The dough is thin crust, but not hard and burnt like so many wood-fired spots. It was light and airy, almost pillowy, while being thin. And excellent flavor in the crust too. This pizza had a great amount of basil sauce and cheese 2) white. Because ricotta is sweet and creamy, I didn't love the piles dotting the pizza. If the white sauce had been more garlicky, it probably would have balanced a little more. Overall, still very good, very cheesy 3) pepp. The sport peppers were spicier than I expected, I ended up taking some of mine off because I'm a wuss. The tomato sauce is very good. Not overpowering. The pepperoni were crispy little cups of yum. The pies were 12", cut into 6 pieces. We were all quite full after bread and 2 slices, but all 3 of us were determined to try each flavor. Although we easily ranked the pizzas, we still enjoyed all of them. This was a fantastic dinner and a place I'll return. The server noticed me scraping the last bit of butter so he brought me a cup to take home. Yay! We also got to try the house made tiramisu for my birthday and it was very good. I'm normally not a big fan, as I don't enjoy coffee or the soggy texture. This was made quite well. Nice and light, creamy filling not too thick. After bread, 3 pizzas, 3 glasses of wine, 1 cocktail, our bill was $145. I don't think I realized how expensive that was until I started writing this, but I was so pleased without meal and experience I guess I didn't notice at the time. Take my money! It truly was worth it, as this pizza was expertly created. The menu is interesting and I can't wait to try more! read more

I debated giving 3 or 4 stars... but after being told the wait was 30-40 mins max... but waiting 1.5 hours... I think 3 was deserved sadly! I personally think this place would be better as a reservation only so that people weren't waiting hours to eat & waisting their time! Besides that, the food was yummy! We started with drinks... a modelo for him & a glass of the red wine of the day for me (you have to either buy a bottle or if you want 1 glass you have to pick between their daily choice of red or white wine) We started with the wonderbread and picked the chili garlic crisp to pair it with. This was phenomenal, but will say it might be spicy for some!! We decided on the pink pizza - spicy vodka sauce base, basil, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and chili flakes!!! It was delicious- sad we only got 3 pieces each but it was a good pizza!!! Kinda New York style with the thinner crust!! I wish I could give this place a 6 star review from how amazing the entire experience was. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat at the counter and got to watch the pizzas made fresh[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and our bartender/server was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They were also extremely accommodating to a dairy allergy and truly the pizza was so good it didn't even need cheese. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is perfect for a date night or to split some pizzas with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] read more
Adding Cents Pizza to my top 5 favorite pizza places in Cleveland! Came here around 6:30 PM on a Saturday evening. It was a 30 minute wait so we walked around the block and got seated at the bar! Ordered the Shroom Pizza (add Speck), the Pink (add meatballs) and the Caesar salad. Shroom pizza was delicious and the spicy vodka sauce on the Pink was delicious! The Caesar was okay, it was slightly bitter because they used Kale but overall the vibes and food were amazing!! read more

Cent's makes an extremely compelling case for the best pizza in Cleveland. We tried the Pepp Pizza with added Italian sausage (pictured) and Pink Pizza (not pictured). The restaurant itself is very small, and difficult to get a seat at. But it's fun and jazzy on the inside (the playlist specifically was really very good). That being said, the star, of course, was the pizza. The meat pizzas were as hearty as the picture indicates (sport peppers add a nice kick) but the real star was the Pink Pizza (no picture taken--we ate it too fast). Vodka sauce on a pie is simply inspired, and a must-try for any Cleveland food fan. read more

We were greeted promptly and told there would be a 30 minute wait and were offered a drink while we waited. Turned out to be about a 10 minute wait! We started with the wonder bread 10/10 salty chewy and so I recommend the garlic butter. Next came the Cesar salad. I didn't read the description and didn't notice they used kale instead of romaine. Typically hate kale but their Cesar dressing was good so it wasn't a total loss 5.7/10. Finally the pizza. I had the Pep first. Pepperonis themselves were great. Dough was chewy soft and delicious. Sauce and cheese were bland and really didn't bring much to the pizza. If it wasn't for the pepperoni this pizza would have been a failure. But the pepperoni was so good 7.6/10. There were hot peppers on it also which were nice. Didn't get much flavor from those. Second pizza was the white pizza. It was cheesy. I liked the ricotta but the garlic sauce wasn't garlicky. I didn't get any "parm" cheese. I say that because I assume it's not Parmesan reggiano. It was fine 6.7/10. If this place wasn't in a bad area and closer to where I lived I'd probably go again but not worth the 20 minute drive and risk of my car being broken into. read more

It was our first visit to Cents and it didn't disappoint. We ordered the Papa sausage pizza and the Mushroom pizza. Both were great. I also had the Spa Water Spritz cocktail and it was as also amazing and refreshing. Water was very informative and nice. This place is excellent! I stopped in with a friend for a quick weeknight dinner. We shared the Papa-- it had a tomato sauce base, hot peppers, sausage, and mozz. The dough was amazing! The right amount of chew and the right balance of toppings. The vibes in Cent's are top notch. The orangey-red counters are an elevated version of the classic pizza shop. They also have a very well curated shop of tinned fish and many wines. Cannot wait to return. Thanks, Cent's! read more
Great experience in a super unique atmosphere and format. We had to wait a bit for a seat but it wasn't a big deal as we were able to browse the wine selection and eclectic array of merchandise with cocktails in hand. My "Olive's Dirty" martini - black and red pepper-infused Watershed gin with the brine from their olive dish - and my wife's "Bandito" - a delicious chile-infused mezcal with two Amari and lemon juice - were excellent, very much in line with LBM, Cloak, or Porco. We were waiting for a friend and when spots at the bar opened up we snagged them - really recommend the bar because of the direct view on the kitchen and you can watch the kitchen at work. Staff, from the bartenders to the owner to the gentleman who recommended our wine, were all pleasant and knowledgeable. All of our food was phenomenal - the stracciatella was so good it made me cry - seriously if you go you must have this. It came served as a loaf of "wonder bread" with a mass of mozzarella in cream in a separate bowl... we took small bits of bread, tore them open to make small pockets, pinched off globs of mozzarella, dipped in chili sauce, and....heaven. The kale Caesar and endive + frisée salads also fantastic, and then the Shroom and Pepp pizzas. Might be the best pizza in Cleveland. Honest. But if you don't trust me there were chefs there from three other well known area restaurants (it was a Monday, all at different tables) so if those guys are going there on their day off you know it's a thing. Can't wait to go back. read more
Stopped in here when I was visiting friends one night. Had a decent wait time on a Saturday (45min). We just got a drink from the bar and hung around waiting in the little sitting area. We got sat at the patio which was quite a pleasant area. On to what matters, the food! Service was fair for how busy they seemed. We started with the stracciatella with some chili oil which was great. Then followed that up with the Mr. White which was phenomenal and by far our favorite. Would 100% get that again. Second pizza we got was the papa. Pretty good but not a necessity. Overall def recommend. Had some unique cocktails also. read more

Paid Cent's an overdue visit after hearing so many good things about it and was not disappointed! First of all, the decor/music/overall vibe is super cool. It's giving retro, 60s, disco vibes. The service is great as well. The pizza itself is made to order and delicious. We got the Mr. White, which was our favorite, and the Papa, which we felt could have been salted more and was a little overdone. The tiramisu was good as well, but nothing to write home about. Overall, I had a great time at Cent's and will definitely be back to try more of their pizzas. We arrived at 5:30 on Saturday and the wait was 1.5 hours. We put our name down and went down the street to a bar to have a drink. We got there an hour later and had a table in the back. Disco lights (which I found distracting) and small tables. Should have been a table for four but we squeezed in six. Caleb, our waiter, was helpful and knowledgeable. 10/10 for him! Beers, wine and some wonder bread later and we were happy. Some in our group were uncomfy in their stool/chairs, but didn't complain (much). The strachiatella was delicious with the bread. One in our group had the trout with chips and it looked interesting but I didn't get a bite. Finally, the pizzas! Green pizza, cherry pizza and pepperoni pizza. I am only reviewing the pepperoni as this is what I am doing at every pizza place. Plenty of pepperoni, spicy, crispy and curled up in the edges. Thin crust. Perfectly baked. I could not love it more. $20 price point which is reasonable. On my top three pepperoni pizzas list in Cleveland! Downsides. No separate checks. Uncomfy seating. Outside seating is like a prison yard. Come on folks- add some plants! Or paint the block wall. But the pizza... that is what I would come back for every time!! read more

Cent's is aesthetically perfect. I can't even believe someone nailed the design so hard. The gift/wine shop that functions as a waiting area is a nice touch. I'll be stopping in next time I need something cool to bring to a friend. If you want to purchase a bottle of wine from the front there's a $20 corkage fee. The prices weren't terribly high even with the fee, but we went with cocktails anyway. Both drinks that we had were somewhat savory (one with ancho reyes, one with rosemary) and that seemed to be consistent with the rest of the spirits menu. Beers (with the exception of Bud Heavy) are cans. There were also a few non-beers (a seltzer, cider and kombucha). Our server helpfully provided the run down of the snack menu. She said not to skip the Wonder Bread and that was very wise advice. I would come back solely for the Wonder Bread and butter. We also got the 'Njuda, which is a warm spicy pork spread, and the Fontina vs. Fontinella. For the main event we went with the Cherry Pie. Luxardo cherries...on a pizza (!!!) On this day they subbed pepperoni for hot sopressata so it didn't have the heat I was expecting, however the addition of chili flakes did the trick. The pizzas are approximately 12 inches and 6 pieces. After the Wonder Bread and snacks, we still had a couple slices to take home between two of us. I can't wait to come back and try another pizza. Might come real hungry and double up on the Wonder Bread. They have a small patio area, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they make of it in warm weather. Impromtu Date Night. Cents Pizza near Ohio City in Cleveland. Blown away. The Cherry Pie Pizza with hot pepper flakes. ( see photo for description ). Stracciatella ( mozz cheese, heavy cream, evoo and cracked pepper). This cheezy goodness and the fresh baked "Wonder Bread" ( puffy , light and airy - hot and fresh) .....a match made in heavy. We also tried the NDuja - a cured spicy pork spread. Unique....jury is still out. This service and the interior make this quirky place a must try. Yum. read more

The food is amazing. Cherry Pizza - necessary. Wonder Bread - necessary. Tinned Fish Service - necessary. Neat wine collection delicately curated by the owners and served with love. The service was 100% and the vibe is hipster. Would go back in a heart beat. Keep doing what you are doing! read more

Cent's Pizza is one of my favorite pizza joints in all of Cleveland. It's a little hidden gem on Lorain Ave. The restaurant itself was clearly carefully designed and had a retro type of interior design. The service here was also great. The staff are friendly and attentive. Now to the food: I am usually not one to get appetizers, but I was recommended the Wonder Bread, and wow it was wonder-ful bread! It was both soft and doughy, yet with a slight crunchy exterior. For pizza, we got the Sunday Gravy with Pepperoni, and it was so good, we wanted to get more. If we were not already stuffed, we would have gotten another one! This pizza had lots of flavor and not overly greasy. Overall, this is a must try pizza place in Cleveland. I will be taking all of my out-of-state friends here when they visit! read more
