We were in Lakewood for a wedding, and since it's been over 20 years since I lived in the area, I jumped on Yelp to find a good local spot. That's how I came across Edison's Pizza, which had some great reviews. We ordered a large sausage and pepperoni, and the pickup time was about an hour. Not sure if that's typical, but it wasn't a big deal for us that day. Finding the place, however, was its own adventure. Google Maps couldn't locate it at first, then pulled up a different location. After a little trial and error, we finally figured out the pizza shop is actually inside a grocery store. Strange setup, but we eventually found it--and honestly, it was worth both the wait and the free scavenger hunt. The pizza itself was excellent. Great ratio of ingredients, not thin crust and not deep dish--soft in the center with a crispy, crunchy edge. It does come in on the higher side at nearly $30 for a large, but considering the quality and flavor, the value is still there. FIRE! This pizza is DELICIOUS. The minced garlic combined with the sauce is perfection. Very flavorful, I should've gotten an extra red sauce on the side. Great tasting ingredients. We didn't have a great experience... Probably not the employees' fault ...places like this are often understaffed and if so in that respect I hold management accountable, but they did not have slices available. Said it would be at least 10 minutes so if you are going there looking for slices, I would not hold your breath. I didn't get a good feeling about the vibe so we just went and ordered a pizza someplace else. We might give it one more shot, but if they're out of slices next time, we'll just take it off our list. read more

Unfortunately my experience at Edison's was not good. It was a different manager and she not as decent as the one from the first time I tried. I don't think she wanted to make another pizza. She was dismissive and wouldn't make eye contact, even though she wasn't doing a task. She said do you want slices twice. I said no I wanted a pepperoni pizza. Then said it would be an hour and 50 minutes for a pepperoni pizza. Asked me about slices again. Stated the timeframe again. I stated I would like one please. I then voiced my displeasure and she blamed it on training the young man making pizza, who tired to help while making pizza as fast as he could. The pizza is of course the star here. Every bit as good as we've come to expect from their kitchen at Lucky's Market. The bar is still very basically-provisioned. Don't go looking for fancy cocktails here but it's a great place to enjoy top-notch pizza. read more

This place has been on my list for a while so when I had a chance to try it recently I was so excited! I was searching for food around 1 AM on a Saturday night, harder to get than you might think, and remembered I had heard about Edison's for late-night pizza. It's located next to the Edison Pub (although it looks like they're moving down the street soon) and the Pizza Kitchen section has its own entrance. There's a small foyer area, so not much space to wait -- but luckily we didn't need to! We asked for which slices were available, just cheese at the moment unless we wanted to wait for pepperoni. Each slice was a couple dollars but was hefty and definitely worth the price. It costed an extra quarter to get honey with the pizza, which I thought was definitely worth it. Everyone in Cleveland recommends Edison's Pizza Kitchen in Tremont for good authentic pizza! At first it's a bit hard to find, since it is connected to Edison's pub, but they're not the same business. The pizza kitchen is in a very small little area on the side with steps leading up to the door. They will be expanding soon though, so I hope they get a more noticeable spot because this place had great pizza, and I'm not even a huge pizza fan! I made my own pizza with pepperonis and jalapeños, it was delicious (although I did find a hair baked into a slice ). I had been looking forward to their amazing Pesto Pizza since our visit last year. Last year we were able to get pizza from the window in the back room of Edison's Pub (next door, but separate business) but with Covid, that part is closed. Currently, you go to the outside window here. They sell by the slice, or the pie. I was nervous about the pub being busy, and knew a whole pie take about an hour, so I called and ordered carryout before walking there. We sat at the bar, then went to pick up at the window at our allotted time. Still the best pesto pizza I've had and wish I could find something comparable in Columbus. read more

100% my favorite pizza that I've had in Cleveland! I recently was at Taps and Tails and two guys were eating pizza so I asked where they got it. It looked amazing so when they said Edison's, I knew I had to get there and try it before the end of the week. So here's the thing, there is no seating in the actual Edison's Pizza, it's just a counter where you order. But, they are connected to the next-door pub also called Edison's where you can have drinks and bring your pizza to eat. The booths at Edison's pub are super uncomfortable but the actual bar area is really cool. The pizza was super Duper amazingly delicious and I'm already thinking about leftovers. There were three of us and we ordered a large pizza with pepperoni, pineapple, and banana peppers and it was a fantastic combination of toppings. When we got our pizza, after an hour long wait (totally worth it), we were amazed at how many toppings are loaded on the pizza. We each had three slices and came home with three for leftovers. Great pie! Edison's is a special dive. Hey listen go there get the pizza from one side and sit & drink in the other side. In the summer sit outside. It's not that hard that's what she said. Parking in the winter is such a hassle the streets are icy and snowed in where u would hope to park. But all the spots are taken anyway by the locals. All the drunks turning left right and up and over and around. Like a merry go round trying to drive in the winter. I parked in the free lot by Loop just bc I know it's there and we walked. So frozen there's areas on the sidewalk that are impassable on foot. But was clear in front of Edison's. The other reason I won't go back is I'm afraid of getting rolled in the summer. These hoods have no souls and creep out from between the houses to hold u up steal your wallet or you or even your life if ur not careful. So walk in the street. And I'd watch your car with the other eye but that's the Southside. Pizza is great. By the slice is $4 and one time when I was working the trade it saved my life that late nite pie I was starving to death. Big slice great deal. So good. People complain it's a grease bomb and maybe a little but u can pick it up by hand and smash it. Great crust holds together. Loaded w pepp. If u ask me it's the best pizza in CLE and very popular. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were turned away by the hostess who said sorry it's 21+ This information would have been great to know before driving 30 minutes and trying to find a parking spot in Tremont. Edison's is now located in a back corner of Lucky's Market/Grocery. Just wanted to provide an update, as I ordered a Large (16 inch) with pepperoni, mushroom and green olive, with a side cup of extra sauce. Note: it is expensive - my total pizza was a few pennies shy of $34. Came in at 3:00 in the afternoon. I believe the original owner lady from Tremont was at the register working on a cardboard box. She asks me what would I like. I proceed to tell her my order and she walks away mid-sentence and another worker hops in and takes the order. She says that she can get it in right away, so give her 25 min. Now I don't know if there were other orders on a Wed. afternoon at 3 pm, but I was thankful and came back a half hour later and all was ready. I have to admit. I just don't feel they have missed much of a beat by going into Lucky's Market (which I find odd). Their pizzas are all about toppings and the significant amount that they pile on. A good portion falls off as you grab your slice. I liked the sauce taste - solid. The dough was fine, nothing special to me, but is always great dipped in the honey packets that they provide. I admit, others will easily come up with other places that they feel have better pizza. I am not denying that. I would probably agree. However, for my humble opinion, I really like their pizza. This pizza was soooo good. It is a little greasy but most pizza is. It's in a market that's super cute and smells absolutely delicious as soon as you walk in. The pizza is a bit pricy but may just be the area in Cleveland and all. Definitely not a small, light pizza. These babies are heavy and filling! Lots of flavor and the crust was quick and easy process picking it up, it was done right when they said it would be. A little heavy on the sauce so depending on how you like pizza you may want to request light sauce. Also I'm very sensitive to spice and there was a little spice on the ricotta pizza. I'd admit, I've driven past this establishment many times, but never stopped. Last night, I found myself in the area around 11pm and I was hungry. I did an internet search for restaurants open in the area and saw I was two streets away. I entered the cozy restaurant and was greeted by a very nice gentleman. I think he was smiling, but am not for sure...cause covid. Anywho, I loved that they sell pizza by the slice, as I had no desire or ability to eat a whole pie alone. I ordered two cheese slices for $6. While waiting, I noticed a tray of cookies and ordered one. My wait was not long at all, and I was there long enough to see some cleaning and disinfecting. My pizza was so tasty. I pulled over to eat. There was no way I was going to survive smelling the pizza the whole way home. My cookie was a peanut butter chocolate chip and was soft and delicious. My only regret was only getting one. Had I tried it while I was still in the lobby, no doubt I would have bought the whole display. Oh well, guess I'll have to go back. read more

The pizza must be pretty awful in Cleveland for this to have such great reviews. Maybe it was a down day for them? Which is surprising since it was dead due to COVID-19. Pulled my slice out of the bag and it totally collapsed and was unmanageable for consumption. Greasy & soggy. The outer crust was crisp - but the base of the pie was hardly held any weight/crispness, in which the toppings severely out weighed the pizza and cause the toppings to slide all over and become a mushy mess (see photo). The pepperoni had good flavor and was crispy, but the cheese and rest of the pizza tasted just above arcade pizza. The workers were nice and it's a quaint operation which is why I won't go below 3 stars. The pizza itself though was 2 stars out of 5. read more

Oh my sweet Edison's pizza kitchen. You've been a staple in my life for the past 4 years. Sober pizza, drunk pizza, happy pizza, sad pizza. One things for sure, my lactose intolerance can't keep me from you. I remember the first time I ordered a humble slice and found out the toppings (pepperoni and banana peppers) were $1 each I was like WHAT?! That's ridiculous! Then my slice came out with full pepperoni coverage and an entire damn jar of banana peppers and I was like okay, okay. You win Edison's. The pizza is hot and tasty. Don't burn your mouth, or be like me and do because you're so impatient and it's so delicious. Seriously. I had a chef from Chicago visit me and we ended up here 3 out of 5 days per their choice. It's good greasy za. On that note, I'd been meaning to try a sandwich from here for years, but every time ended up with the pizza (because I couldn't pry myself away). Last night I FINALLY got a sandwich (the Edison) and wow I've really been sleeping on the sandwich selection here. I didn't think I could come here anymore often than I already do, but I've got around 10 other sandwiches to try now. Oh darn. Edison's is a Cleveland institution. If you're looking for something sit down and fancy, it's not your place. But if you're looking for something delicious and full of Cleveland grit, Edison's pizza kitchen is your place. Get your bacon and sausage on! If you don't mind paying for the most expensive pizza you'll ever order because you want the toppings, Edisons is the place to order pizza. Their wait time is long for pizza- 30-40 minutes for pickup. But they give you an ETA when you call. Probably the best bacon and sausage pizza loaded with meat that we've had in CLE but also the most expensive. $30 for a large 3 topping pizza. In return two toppings are plenty! And the sausage and bacon were excellent and baked to order. The wings were decent- large but too well done for our taste . They don't taste good the next day. Super filling and recommend--just plan for the wait time if you're ordering carry out. It's evident they do a lot of that and have a system down. What we don't like is the fact that they only have Marzetti's packs for the salad dressing . It's like putting mediocre sauce on a great salad. Here's a tip. Do not buy Edison's pizza and try to eat the first piece on your drive home. It's a grease bomb and you will end up messing up your shirt, pants, leather car seats and - if you happen to have them in your car - sympathy cards. That being said, it's delicious pizza. Great crust, just right sauce and crispy pepperoni. If I could get this pizza with out all of the grease, it would be perfect. I can't give them 5 stars because although they are extremely popular, they need to upgrade their operation. The wait is always incredibly long. They need a larger space with more employees. Only one person is allowed in the shop at a time so even if you order ahead you are stuck waiting outside for your turn to get into the shop. Once I did get inside, I noticed the young guy was doing 80% of the work and the middle aged lady was doing 20%. This poor kid was drowning and juggling way too much. I wish I got his name Bc he was busting his ass. My pizza was banging but I did watch some really pale, anemic ass looking single slices going out the door while I was waiting. If I had gotten those I would have been annoyed. Anyway, my rating for this particular pie on this particular occasion is 4/5 but I can see how it varies. read more

Forgive me, Edison's, for I have sinned. For all too long, I was the anti-Edison's, believing that any pizza joint that required me to call in two hours ahead of time to place an order was laughably egotistical. But you know what? Edison's has such a long wait time for a reason: Their pizza is the best in town, period, full-stop. I especially love their chicken/bacon/ranch pizza (put the honey on top; trust me... & yes, I know it sounds gross, but just DO it); recently, I tried their Hawaiian Pizza, & it, too, is incredible (though I haven't yet gone the honey route with it). I'm a Connecticut Gal - home of New York Style and New Haven Style pizza - but after a long day of driving this pizza hit the spot. Not knowing anyplace in Cleveland to get pizza - Yelp definitely came to the rescue. I agree with the other users - our pizza contained a perfect sauce/cheese/topping ratio. Not sure if what we ate would be considered "Cleveland style" but the dough was on the thicker side - sort of like Greek style. However it was delicious. I also ordered a small side salad. It was delicious as well! Usually when you order a side salad it only contains the bare essentials (iceberg, sad tomatoes and maybe a slice or 2 of onion). This salad was not any of those things! Mixed greens, several types of vegetables AND mozzarella - now that is what I call a salad! Edison's makes some heavy, greasy, filling pizza. It all starts with a very thick breach crust to hold all the glorious toppings. They do not go light on anything here. You can't go wrong with any staples but I recommend branching out trying the bbq chicken. Also don't forget the honey and ranch when ordering here, both play there own unique roles and enhance different aspects of the pie. read more
