One of our favorite things about traveling is trying local spots, and Pizza 216 was a great Cleveland find! We were in town for a concert, and it was pretty crowded, but we were able to grab two seats at the bar after just a few minutes. The bartender was friendly, and our food came out really quickly. I also appreciated that they had non-alcoholic drink options. We started with the provolone wedges, which were crispy and delicious. Then we split The King pizza, loaded with pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, and sausage. It was packed with toppings and full of flavor. Called and placed an order for pick up with Kaya. We ordered a large Magherita pizza and confirmed it had 8 slices. My fiance picked up the order and came back with a very thin pizza. The crust was normal size but the area of toppings was as thin as a piece of paper no theatrics needed. I called to see if this was a mistake and the lady on the phone confirmed that she saw my order and that our order as described is their "New York style". From the photos on Yelp, this does not look like the norm. We paid full price for an extremely thin layered pizza. Unacceptable! read more

I was recommended Pizza 216 by my mom and brother. I was headed to the Jonas Brothers concert at Rocket just a couple streets over. We were greeted by the hostess upon entry. I asked if there was a separate gluten free menu or if it was on the menu itself, and it is on the menu as is. We were sat very promptly and our waiter came by a couple minutes later. Carlos was his name. Very attentive and quick to get our drink and food orders in quick. The restaurant/bar was pretty full with sports on all of the TVs with music playing. The food came out fairly quickly. I got to eating very fast so we could get to the concert quickly. The food was very warm; the GF crust was thin and held together very well. I had red sauce, sausage and pepperoni. The size of the pizza wasn't too overwhelming, I was able to eat the entire pizza and toppings. Such a fun place. Brick oven pizza. Very fun atmosphere!! Not too shabby! Cleveland is not known for its pizza as much as NYC or Chicago are, but it tracks. Thinner crust, flavorful toppings, and attentive staff. When in the convention district, check out Pizza 216. I selected a small pizza noted as "The King". It hit the spot for sure. Looks like they have an amazing happy hour throughout the week as well with 75 cent wings on Mondays which matches the sports bar feel perfectly. Connected to the Hyatt Regency hotel aka The Arcade, it's perfect spot not too far from many of Cleveland's attractions. Good pie for a reasonable price! read more

We were a large group, 7 adults, 9 kids. They said they couldn't seat us because they had a large reservation coming in so their back table/area was taken up. The front area had more than enough seats between different smaller tables, so we asked to split up our party and sit up there. They said no, because they wanted to "save those tables for walk-ins" even though there were at least 30 seats at the restaurant. After flying all day, having a flight be delayed and dealing with airport food, this was the place to look forward to. The location of this hotspot is absolutely perfect inside the most beautiful Hyatt I've ever seen. Not only does Cleveland rock but Cleveland is beautiful and this pizza place should represent Cleveland because it's the best. The airplane food made my stomach a bit queasy so had to opt for Kevin McAllister's ultimate favorite: cheese pizza just for me. Wow, instant happiness. Came here after a long day at a conference. Located in the arcade which houses the Hyatt, it's quite a charming, in the know location. Had great company of course, and this was the perfect place for a large group to chitchat post conference. The place was accommodating, allowing us to move a table to fit everyone. Our waitress was fabulous. Most people ordered a personal pizza and seem to really enjoy it. I ordered the buffalo salad and it was huge. Very tasty. I ordered the Spicy Pie pizza to go. The menu describes it as "Local sausage, cheese blend, spicy red, mushrooms, and pepperoncinis." This one was good but not as good, in my opinion, as the margherita pizza which tasted fresher. We ended up coming here twice. The pizza is good but the restaurant needs some work. We came Sunday evening after the baseball, but they were only serving pizza, we tried to order a salad too and couldn't - was kinda weird. The restaurant needed a good sweep, food all over the floor! We noticed a huge nasty liquid dripping on our booth too and moved because of it - they never cleaned it off and when we came back the next day it was still there! Our draft beer looked very flat. Server started her closing duties and was very difficult to get to pay our tab. Came the next day for Happy Hour, sat at the bar, went with bottled beer this time. Was very cold and New Year's Eve. Snowing hard and icy out. Came in and thought it was the weekend. It was happy hour got 2 pizzas for $5 each and was a decent size. Got 1 for myself and 1 for my friend. Was so good on a cold day and came out quick. Wood fired pizza and perfect crispy crust. Perfect size for 1 adult. The pepperoni had that perfect crisp, the sausage was rich and flavorful, and the cheese-to-sauce ratio was spot on. What really stood out was that there was zero sloppiness to the pizza. Each slice held up perfectly, wasn't greasy at all, and never felt heavy.That said, the char was so good we definitely left with a few char marks on our mouths after eating... and honestly? It was worth every bite. The garlic knots were just as impressive. Soft, warm, and loaded with garlicky flavor, they were buttery without being oily and paired perfectly with the marinara. Im pretty judgmental on pizza being from Jersey originally. However, this place hit the mark. Its right on euclid so it makes a great before show dinner spot if heading to playhouse square. The pizzas are delicious and they have some unique variations(such as the periogi pizza). The staff is always super friendly and attentive plus the cocktails are well made. We stopped in here to try the hot honey pizza. it was happy hour so of course we also had to try some christmassy cocktail! I ordered a sugar cookie martini and it was like a desert with frosting on the rim. my friend had a Jack Frost which was equally delicious. The unexpected favorite was the garlic knots we ordered on a whim. These had to be the best garlic knots I've ever had in my life. These service was great. This place is great! Good food, decent prices, and a nice vibe. And, while one bartender (Josh?) was amazing and going the extra mile to serve everyone, the other one resulted in the losing of a star. I've never seen someone look like they hate me for ordering a bottle of wine and asking for some time to look at the menu. When the wine finally arrived many minutes later, she didn't even bother to open it, just dropped it and two glasses in front of us and walked off. Thankfully Josh was nice enough to get a wine chiller out of their cooler so we weren't stuck with warm white wine. No frills interior space. They have some outdoor space. Service was good but pizza needs some help. Good crust but that's where it ends. Toppings were awful. I had the margarita pizza and weirdest looking margarita pizza I ever had. Sauce taste like it comes out of a can and cheese was so bland. Absolutely horrified and disappointed with the service here. Tonight my friends and I stopped by to try some Cleveland pizza. There were 11 of us. When the waitress arrived she proceeded to tell us we would all need to pay on one check or leave because we had a group of 10 or more. We then asked her if two of us left would we be able to stay, she then still said no?!?!? That we would need to pay on one check or leave. I have NEVER encountered this while eating out. Very clearly trying to avoid separate checks out of inconvenience. We proceeded to tell her we were going to leave and she immediately started apologizing.
