chicken milanesa cemita & cecina adobada cemita
Angel H.

Good/average food, good service. The only thing is they don't have dine-in, so you just place your order & pick it up thru a little window they have. A little sad that the chicken milanesa didn't have much seasoning to it, but i loved the portion sizing on these! Very filling & yummy with fresh avocado.

Cecina Asada with Chipotle - flavor bomb!
Nathan G.

Just an absolute flavor bomb - the Cecina Asada is satisfying, filling, not greasy, lots of cheese and avocado and meat, and the sesame bun just works. I had the Chipotle option - the smoke chili flavor worked so well with everything else. A few things - this is now a walk up, window service place (at least when I was there), strictly take out, nowhere to sit down. Also, prices are up since a few years ago - the sandwich was $12 out the door. Totally worth it though - you won't be hungry and these things are craveable.

You'll order out of a perfect little window and you'll receive the best meal of your life. Insane flavor, lots of avocado, and a wide range of delicious salsas Choose between jalapeño or chipotle, you can't go wrong

Humongous sandwiches absolutely filled to the brim with meat/veggies/guacamole/cheese. I really loved the pescado and the steak. Super dank

Cemita de Milanesa de pollo con todo!

What' a hidden gem! I've gotta start by saying I'm super picky when it comes to Mexican food and am usually disappointed outside of Mexico. It never tastes the same. Not this place!!! The Cemitas taste just like the Cemitas in Puebla, Mexico. Absolute magic.. Service is nice and friendly considering your order through a window. Keep in mind the location is not fancy, but who needs fancy when you've got great food?!?

Milanese chicken chipotle with string cheese.

Wow. What a gem. Sooo good. I've been in the valley passing by this joint for a decade now and I didn't know it was this good. I gave it a try today and got the chicken Milanese with string cheese and chipotle. Bomb dot com. Wow. I'm already thinking of going back tomorrow for more. The lady was nice. You order it from the outside and when food is ready they open the door and give it to you. I was the only one there. After i ordered i kid you not like 20 people came. This place is well known I guess. Next time im getting the breaded carne sada one. Few people in line recommended it. Im so happy.

The best bread and sandwiches so good! I've been missing out. The only thing that can make this place better is if they go organic!

I ordered the fajita salad with shrimp. I got the salad dressing on the side but didn't end up using it. It was flavorful without it and didn't need it. I enjoyed it! They serve it with a generous portion of shrimp and the grilled veggies were a nice addition to the salad. You also still get complimentary chips & salsa. They were pretty good! We started with a complementary basket of warm, fresh chips and a very spicy salsa, along with a side of freshly made guacamole that was incredibly creamy and flavorful. Unfortunately, the meal went downhill from there. This famous restaurant has a rich history--helped made famous by actor Marlon Brando and even featured in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood--so my expectations were high. We ordered a Carne Asada wet burrito with chicken added. When it arrived, it was incredibly soggy, and the chicken inside had a watery texture & the steak was extremely overcooked. We flagged down our waiter, who was very polite and understanding, and asked to exchange it for a burrito with grilled chicken breast instead of the wet chicken. While the second burrito was an improvement, the beef was still very overcooked and underseasoned, and the chicken completely lacked flavor. The drinks were also a letdown. We started with a guava drink that had literally no alcohol in it and tasted like watered-down lemonade with no guava flavor at all. We had to order a second drink and a beer just to get something decent. Our bill came out to a whopping $98. For that price, the portions were painfully small, and you can definitely find better quality elsewhere. Also service was painfully slow...While I appreciate how clean the restaurant was and how sweet our waiter was, the only thing that truly stood out was the fresh guacamole. It was a pretty disappointing and underwhelming experience, and I'm honestly questioning if I'll ever go back.

I ordered, they gave me a number and asked that I sit down and wait at a table, then they brought my food out. 4 stars. Food: This is the best Mexican food I have had in California so far. I'm on a diet right now, so I've been trying to eat less, but I pigged out at this place, very good food. 5 stars. Bathrooms: Everything worked, not the cleanest though.. 3 stars. Ambiance: Light music in the background, this location is great for conversation meals with friends and family, not super fancy place, but it's relaxed, so a good place for a chill date. 4 stars. When I come here, I usually order the cheese enchiladas. They're the best I've ever had. Perfect flavor, cheesiness, and consistency (thickness/density). This time around, I decided to try out something different, the Carne Asada plate. It was fantastic. Usually, restaurants use cheaper cuts of meat like skirt or flank steak for their carne asada. Maybe I'm losing my mind, but the carne asada I had looked and tasted a lot like ribeye steak, which happens to be my favorite cut of beef. For my drink, I had the horchata like I normally do. The horchata here is something special. It's thicker and creamier than your average horchata and packs a cinnamon punch. The only knock on this place is the parking situation. There's limited parking relative to the size of the establishment. You may have to find street parking around the park nearby. But don't let something like that discourage you from checking this place out. This place is worth it. I drive up to the Valley from the South Bay just to visit this restaurant.

My husband got 2 tacos, brisket and chicken and a side of chips. I through in a side of crispy potatoes. This was a nice cool Sunday evening around 6pm, the vibe was full-ish but still places to sit. There's a big bar around the cook area inside where you order or a covered patio outside area (with heating if necessary). We had a lovely evening, so we sat at the end of a bench. Our food came to our table I'd say within 10-15 minutes of ordering. I honestly could have shared mine. It was a lot with those potatoes, and even my husband who's a thin guy said one of those tacos would have been sufficient (and he could have helped me with mine...haha). We were just in the area visiting our kids, we come down frequently from NorCal, so we will definitely hit up this place again now that we've found it in the near future. I don't recall it ever coming out that juicy. It was delicious, but super soggy. I also ordered my tacos on the corn tortillas which were good, but their flour tortillas are definitely the star. One soggy taco isn't going to deter me from coming back, I do love the food here. Just wanted to provide feedback on those sauce bottles! Love, A salsa girlie
