Viajé a Escocia a primeros de junio de 2019 Conocí la agencia Celtic Legend a través de una web de viajar por Escocia. Enseguida me puse en contacto con ellos mediante correo electrónico. No tardará ni 24h en contestarme sobre precios, disponibilidad y otras consultas y dudas. Todo el mundo fue realizado con gran amabilidad por parte del personal de Celtic Legend. Con 5 meses de antelación ya tenía reservados mis 2 vehículos, un Mercedes Vito 9 asientos cambio automático y una Furgoneta Berlingo 3 asientos con cambio manual, para recogerlos en Inverness y devolverlos en el aeropuerto de Edimburgo. A mediados de abril quise cambiar la furgoneta Berlingo por otra Vito 114 - 9 asientos automática. No hubo ningún problema en el cambio y me respetaron el presupuesto que me hicieron en enero. A nuestra llegada a Inverness estaban esperándonos 2 conductores con las furgonetas en el aeropuerto para llevar a cabo en la agencia de alquiler Arnold Clark en Inverness donde tuvo el papel de los contratos de alquiler. Los vehículos estaban impecablemente nuevos. Los precios me parecieron muy buenos. La devolución en Edimburgo también se realizó con gran rapidez y amabilidad por parte del personal que nos atendió. Abbiamo recuperato l'auto all'aeroporto di Edimburgo, dopo un ritardo dell'aereo monitorato dal personale di Celtic Legend. Ci siamo resi conto che la KIA STONIC non era molto spaziosa rispetto alle altre automobili del gruppo 4. Abbiamo dovuto dividere i bagagli perché non stavano tutti nel bagagliaio ed essendo quattro adulti, le due persone che stavano nei sedili posteriori non sono mai state comode. Noi in Italia possediamo la Dacia Duster e la Ford Focus (che io avevo richiesto), abbiamo sbagliato a non specificare che non c'erano bambini e che le nostre gambe erano abbastanza lunghe. Devo dire che l'auto era nuova, in ottime condizioni e non ci ha dato nessun problema di tipo meccanico, tutto è andato molto bene: siamo arrivati fino a John O' Groats percorrendo oltre 1500 miglia! Qualche intoppo a lasciarla al nostro ritorno, abbiamo mancato l'uscita perché il navigatore impostato sull'indirizzo dato dall'agenzia ci ha fatti proseguire verso l'aeroporto; per fortuna un taxista gentile ci ha scortati fino al deposito Arnold Clark. Consigliamo questa compagnia per la serietà dimostrata ma invitiamo gli utenti a specificare l'altezza dei passeggeri. read more

We're from Oregon, and enjoyed a 5 week trip to Scotland. We rented a car from Celtic Legend aka Arnold Clark. The car and their support were first class. We purchased the full coverage when renting. We picked up the car after flying into Edinburgh. Our trip took us to St. Andrews, Grantown on Spey, Greyeagles, Dornach, then a long costal drive counterclockwise on the NC 500 visiting Wick, Thurso and Ulapool, before hiking on Skye and biking Arran, Isley and Jura. Our travels put well over a thousand miles on the rental car. We had one flat tire, which followed our hitting a pothole on the NC 500, a road notorious for potholes. The rim had cracked. Fortunately for us, (unlike many rental companies) Celtic Legend included a spare tire in the car and we were able to drive to the next town to find a replacement rim. We couldn't have asked more from our communications with Celtic Legend regards finding a garage, getting the replacement rim, getting our car up and running so we could continue with our trip. The call center was staffed and quickly followed up. Celtic Legend was the best. We'll rent from this company in the future. read more

I highly recommend using Celtic Legend Car Rental. Their customer service was OUTSTANDING, and they had the best prices. I dealt with a Steve Wallace, and he was so great to work with. When I emailed them asking questions responses were received immediately which, was so helpful especially with the time difference I was dealing with. After confirming my reservations several weeks later, I needed to make changes of the dates and pick up location and they were right on it within minutes which, was a relief as I was worried, I would not be able to get the car for additional days and/or pick up at a closer location. The car I received was great and I had no issues. I even had to drop off at a different location or I would miss my flight and they were absolutely wonderful about it! I was in Scotland for a wedding and several of us rented through them and we were all very satisfied with the vehicles and service we received. Absolutely great company to work with! I like to work with local companies when I travel and discovered Celtic Legend through a travel blog. From the first email to the last and everything in between, Celtic Legends was just a superb company to deal with. I appreciated communicating with "real people" and not online chats. Everyone I dealt with was a true professional with authentic customer service. The information provided was clear, my emails were responded to quickly, the rates were very reasonable, and the process of picking up and dropping off the car was fast - no lines and excellent service. I took a chance of asking them to take a look at my road trip itinerary and let me know if it was reasonable for the time allowed -- I received an email that not only answered the question but was filled with tips and alternative routes of interest. We ended up taking all of their suggestions - and we saw parts of Scotland we would have completely missed otherwise -- less touristed and exquisitely beautiful. Se potessi metterei 10 stelle, perchè non potrei essere più soddisfatto di così! Dal primo contatto al giorno prima dell'arrivo sono stati meravigliosi ed è stato un periodo lungo. Ho dovuto cancellare la prima prenotazione per le restrizioni dovute al covid (cancellazione, nuova prenotazione l'anno dopo, modifica per adattarlo al volo) ma Liam e Pamela sono stati impeccabili! Ho fatto molte ricerche ma il loro prezzo è stato imbattibile, anche aggiungendo tutte le garanzie e gli optional per viaggiare senza pensieri (fatelo!). L'auto era una nuovissima Toyota Corolla Hybrid (circa 16000 km) ed in ottimo stato, a parte qualche piccolo danno qua e là ma abbiamo fatto un'ispezione prima di partire. Alla fine del viaggio mi è dispiaciuto lasciarla, nonostante il volante dalla parte sbagliata :D E' stata senza dubbio e di gran lunga la miglior esperienza di sempre con un auto a noleggio e gran parte del merito è di Celtic Legend, che sono intermediari di Arnold Clark. I received personalized and attentive service from the staff at this amazing company. I highly recommend Celtic Legend when renting a car in Scotland. Over the course of setting up the rental and picking it up, I was in touch with Willie, Pamela, Liam and Margaret and all were very helpful and quick to respond. In one case, late on a Sunday afternoon, the day before we were to pick up the car, I contacted Liam to see if a shuttle could pick us up to take us to the car rental agency. I was certain it was too late and I wouldn't hear anything, but Liam contacted me within 30 minutes to let me know everything was set up and the shuttle would pick us up the next morning. We found this was the type of rapid response to expect any time we needed to contact someone. Celtic Legend works in partnership with Arnold Clark and it is the latter from which cars will be picked up and dropped off. However, the process seemed seamless and we encountered no issues with our rental; the vehicle provided to us was exactly what we had requested and expected. read more

If you want to rent a car in Scotland, just go for Celtic Legend..They provide amazing service and have great cars at best price. I rented a car for NC500 road trip (Corsa), during Easter.. Booking process was simple and clear. They provided detailed & transparent information from booking till the return of the car. Despite I had booked for a wrong month and not realize till they call to pick the car on the booked date, they were soo kind to reschedule for free, eventhough it should have been very inconvinient for them to prepare the car for collection and cancel at the last moment. They also gave shuttle service from our hotel to the branch for the collection and pickup. The car was really great ( clean, good control and all auto features). With all the auto safety features in the car, it was soo fun to drive in such adventurous roads on NC500. I cannot wait to have another trip to Scotland! read more

As far as I am concerned, the ONLY company to rent from in Scotland. I can't say enough good about how easy the process of renting from them was, and how accommodating they were with my many questions. I was so grateful for the extended insurance options; as an American wrestling with driving on the opposite side of the road to which I'm accustomed, it took a lot of stress off me to know we were covered (which, frankly, probably made my driving better!). Celtic Legend works with Arthur Clarke, and the customer service there was absolutely outstanding, Aimee, the lovely and knowledgeable woman who set us up with our car, even gave us a good place to eat lunch on our travels. Our hybrid ran great and we had a wonderful 5 days seeing the beautiful Scottish highlands. All this AND their rates were the best I found, too! My daughter and I travelled from Canada for a 10-day tour of Scotland in June. I contacted Celtic Legend by e-mail (based on a recommendation in the Guide du Routard Scotland travel guide) about renting a car. I received a prompt and informative response from Liam. The rental rate offered by Celtic Legend for an automatic transmission car with comprehensive insurance was excellent value compared to other major North American and European rental companies. The rental location in Edinburgh was a quick and easy tram ride from downtown; the car - a late model Mercedes - was great (including a very helpful navigation system!) We returned the car to the Glasgow South location, where our excellent experience with Celtic Legend was topped off by the friendly welcome to Glasgow we received from the Arnold Clark South Street shuttle driver, who dropped us downtown. It was a delight to work with Celtic Legend. Best car rental company, highly recommended, fantastic service, no complications. A score 11 out of 10. I hired a car for 8 days at the end of July and first of August 2019. Very easy and hassle-free car hire experience to organize online. I made all arrangements from Barcelona by email. I had some questions and the team at Celtic Legend was quick and helpful in their responses. They picked us up at our hotel and took us to their offices in Edinburgh. when we got there the check-in was very simple and fast. We rented an automatic group 4 car and we enjoyed 8 days around Scotland. The car was almost new, clean and in perfect condition. We returned it at the Edinburgh Airport. The drop-off was really very fast. Then they took us to the terminal with a shuttle. Friendly and hepful staff, good price. I would rent from Celtic Legend again. read more

The email was communication was timely. Staff seemed more than willing to answer my questions. Before we got out of Glasgow, our rental car died. We were able to get it back to the site where we picked it up after it started back up. The staff were great with trying to troubleshoot and then get us a different vehicle that we all were comfortable with and knew would be reliable. They came through. Not quite as much room for all of our luggage in the back, but it had a cover for our luggage so that was nice. We had an amazing time driving over 2000 miles in our rental car! Drop off was not quite as smooth as expected. We were told as long as we dropped off the car before close we would be able to get a ride to our hotel. Not so. Apparently, the driver of the shuttle leaves by 4:30pm. Other than that, return was smooth. We would definitely rent from this company again. read more

When we arrived at Edinburgh airport at 8pm we had to call them first. That proved problematic, as our phone didn't work there, and we had to go to the rental centre & ask a favour of an employee of another company to call for us. So there was quite a bit of walking around till we met the van that took us to the Arnold Clark centre. Then the registration procedure seemed to take ages. That's the only reason I'm not giving a 5* rating. The lady at A.C. was very nice though, and from then on all was well. The car return was smooth, quick and hassle-free. I chose Celtic Legend because it was the only company whose total price is clear from the start, it's an old-established Scottish firm, and don't try to push extras we don't want. Also, I was delighted that they actually answer emails, and promptly too. I would definitely book again with them, or directly with Arnold Clark. read more

I compared many US Based car rental companies with Celtic Legend and found Celtic Legend to be the best priced, most communicative in answering questions and provided the most comprehensive package. Arnold Clark provided the car - and everywhere we looked were Arnold Clark cars on the road - clearly the local leader. The rental experience was very positive - quick pick up, quick drop off and quite affordable. We drove over 1500 miles on our trip and really broke in the new car they provided. It was just my wife and I and we chose a Kia Sportage equivalent. While plenty powerful and roomy, we probably should have chosen a smaller car with all the narrow roads we travelled upon. (Large camper vans coming at you on one lane roads can be unnerving...) We loved the experience. The navigation was spot on and we toured some of the most beautiful countryside around. read more

It's a great company to rent from and good rates as well. We rented a nine-seater for a big family road trip to the Trossachs National Park and it went very smoothly. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There was a young gal who took care of us who went above and beyond to take care of all our questions and did so with patience and cheerfulness. We had some issues getting set with a car seat (which was requested at time of booking), as well as how to fit it in (old model with seat belt method which none of us were familiar right) so that part took a long time. Anyhow, they gave us another seat ("isofix" style) which was much easier. I'd suggest upgrading all the car seats to isofix because it's so much easier to install. I would 100% use this car rental again the next time I'm in Scotland! read more

My son and I recently visited Scotland from Australia, and hired a car for 10 days through Celtic Legend. They were helpful and quick to respond to emails and provide all necessary information. I booked a small manual car, and on picking it up at Arnold Clark near Edinburgh airport, we were upgraded to a near new SUV. Pick up and drop off were easy and quick, with Arnold Clark staff friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was that i had paid extra for a GPS, and during the trip found that the in - car GPS maps had not been updated and we had to rely on Google maps to find our way around. However this was not a big deal in the scheme of things. Overall an excellent experience and i would definitely use Celtic Legend again. It was good to support a family company and I highly recommend them. read more

Making the reservation was easy, with questions answered quickly and changes in plans acknowledged immediately. I'd never used Celtic Legend/Arnold Clark before and I have to admit I was a bit nervous, but based on excellent reviews I took the plunge. I'm so glad I did! Pickup at the airport was quick and easy, paperwork was minimal, and they gave us an upgrade to a slightly bigger auto with heated seats! Given we were traveling the Highlands and Skye in October, that was a welcome addition! The car performed perfectly and was a pleasure to drive. The cost was more than reasonable, given GPS, automatic transmission, an extra driver, and a dash cam did not add extra dollars to the total cost. I have been renting cars for my vacations in Scotland through Celtic Legend, Ltd since 2018. The cars are always in excellent condition. The pricing is competitive and fair. And they always have the car they say they will have. I have heard horror stories from people using other car rental agencies. Celtic Legend is the ONLY company I will use. They also have exceptional customer service. I needed to pick up the car at an airport, and they had someone there to meet me and hand over the keys. With every interaction, whether through email or phone, the representatives are friendly, prompt, and helpful. Traveling can be stressful.
