The lady claimed it takes them longer, which is BS. It takes mere seconds to alternate between colors and takes no longer to dry. I wasn't asking for a design on each toe. Literally just the color itself on each toe. Despite me politely mentioning it, they stuck with charging 5 extra bucks. I timed how long it took for 3 coats of gel, and it was 10 minutes total, which included the heat lamp to cure the gel. That's just a little over 3 minutes for each round of paint for both feet. Alternating between colors took seconds. I REALLY wanted those colors, and since it's gross to charge 5 extra dollars for no reason, that extra 5 dollar charge was the tip. The deduction of stars has nothing to do with how it turned out and everything to do with a lack of ethics. This was my first time back in years. Unfortunately, I won't be back.

There was zero communication about what was included or the actual price. The polish is a mess around the edges. She was working on two other clients at the same time as me as well. While trying to prove her point with the menu she even had to ask other workers where on the menu it said my service total was (it wasn't on there). She then finished by telling me that they will talk to their manager to have the menu updated for next time but that that was still the cost. I will not be back. I don't recommend you go.

Since October 2014, I have seen her at least 5 times for a Shellac Manicure. She uses the brand Gelish on me but has other brands of shellac polish in addition to regular polish. The Gelish polish stays on my nails for at least 4 weeks. Even though her shop fits 4 people at most, it is just her and her mom (Katie) who are there. By having only two workers at a time, it reduces echoes of other customers and the employees are able to focus on their current customer. She offers affordable prices on manicures (price varies) and pedicures ($25) and everything used is sanitized. The past few times I had Mai paint different designs & polish on each nail, her price for designs are an addition $3. Her skills and creativity always show when it comes to painting nails and I am always proud to show them off to who ever will see.
