I came here last minute after my original appointment was canceled, based on the good reviews. I'm deaf and let them know, but they still tried to speak to me instead of finding a better way to communicate, which was frustrating. I requested both a manicure and pedicure. I was pointed to a chair to wait for the next available tech--it was a bit of a wait, but I didn't mind. I picked out my color and had no issues with the pedicure portion. For the manicure, I showed them a reference photo, and they said it would be $90--for short square acrylics with some texture, which felt too expensive. I decided to switch to a simple gel mani instead. They ended up just filing my nails and applying gel--no cuticle care at all. As a barista, my hands go through a lot, so I really needed the full clean-up. When I brought it up, they told me that would've been $35 instead of $25, but no one explained the difference or gave me the option beforehand. Overall, the communication was poor, and they made assumptions without asking or clarifying. I left feeling rushed, disappointed, and like my needs weren't really considered. read more

I was there on June 29th around 3pm to get my nails done with my boyfriend. The customer service was fine but the lady I had, took only 30 minutes on my nails, making them thick, not fully painted around the edges, and she did not clean my cuticles so they were looking really rough by the end. I also noticed the lengths are all wonky, uneven and the gel is already peeling off. I also didn't feel like I could speak up because she was in such a hurry to help the next person after me and had already started working on that person before I was done drying and before telling me if I was good to go or not. I understand she was trying to get done and that she wants to make money but there's a problem if I don't get the full service that I paid for. I felt unwelcome and the "vibe" was off in there. If you go there, make sure they are making them the way you want. read more

Zero Stars if I could. I would Absolutely Not Come Here! This was my second visit to Boss Nails & I had a friend come with me for her first pedicure in a spa. 1st they didn't offer us a drink we had to ask. The lady working on my friend got a client in the middle of the pedicure she went directly to the room & proceeded to wax the clients eyebrows (Ewww) came right back & kept working on my friends feet! This place Dose Not properly follow sanitization requirements as required by TDLR. No Licences are displayed with pictures of Nail Techs, clean & unused implements nail clippers, files & other tools are not being used on clients & or being properly sanitized. They bring over a trolly with tools inside but their is no way to know if these are clean they put them back in the same place & move on to the next client. My friend got an infection from here. She called the owners we went in to show them her infection & all they did was try to blame it on her and an ingrown toe nail, which the tech didn't clip an ingrown toe nail. The owner said in his 22yrs nothing like this has ever happened & he knew it had to be from an ingrown toe nail infection, (Because hes a Dr lol) which can just happen anytime. I told him that can be true but being that we had just been here a few days before it's highly more than likely that she got this from your establishment. He refused to acknowledge their mistakes he kept trying to blame her! We asked to see the techs license & of course they start talking in their language & they bring over someone's license with no pic to verify if it was actually her license. He kept insisting they were all licensed (but yet this tech violated so many sanitization regulations I highly doubt it!) My friend went to the Drs. & sure enough she had Cellulitis! Dr said it's most common to get these from spas that aren't following proper sanitization procedures. She has called to let them know they didn't call her back! they won't refund her money! Or even own up to the fact that they are responsible for this!!! We won't ever be back! the way the owners wouldn't take responsibility & even tried to place the blame on her was absolutely ridiculous! We will definitely be filing a complaint with TDLR!!! read more
