This was a trip before my birthday as a celebration. We stopped here to get our nails done before going back home. I'm giving this 3 stars because it's not even been a week and I already had to get my nails done because they broke and cracked on 3 different nails.. the lady also didn't put the top clear layer for extra coverage on my nail which is why they ended up cracking so easily. And I was not rough with my nails either my thumb nail cracked from me grabbing my card out of the ATM my other thumbs real nail chipped off underneath the SNS from snagging on my clothes meaning she didn't buff my nail correctly.. I loved the color but they weren't built for longevity and they should be so I gave them 3 stars. read more

We drove up to Amarillo to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We live about 2 hours away and on a whim decided to do a full spa day. The first couple of places we called were booked. So we thought ok we will take a chance here in part because we liked the name and in part because of the reviews. They were AWESOME. They did nail art made my daughter feel extra special and are actually game to do some of the more adventurous nail designs that we like. It is worth the two hours drive. Overall, my pedicure experience was fine. What I didn't realize until I got home was that my toenails are rough and the polish is bubbled and rough. It looks almost like I put socks on while the polish was still wet (I did not put socks on and kept the flip flops on for several hours). I'm not talking about 1-2 toenails. Ordered a paraffin wax pedicure and basic nail service. One of my pet peeve is when I'm at a salon (hair, nails, etc) and the workers are speaking loudly with each other, especially in another language other than English. Now don't get me wrong, I AM BILINGUAL. But when I go to a salon there are times when I just want to relax. As a matter of fact, it is a form of relaxation for me. It's hard to do when you have workers speaking loudly, almost yelling around me and I can't even understand what they're talking about. I come here all of the time. I love it! Great service especially for the price. If you come during busy hours you won't necessarily feel like you're number one because making sure every guest is taken care of is a priority to them. If you have any issues, talk to Paul. He makes sure you always leave happy. Don't be upset if your needs aren't met if you don't express your issues before walking out the door because you "didn't get taken care of". My pedicure was just lovely... the water was perfectly warm, and my nail tech took his time, but it didn't take too long which was good because I was on a time crunch. My manicure on the other hand... I asked for my manicure to be done simultaneously. At first I was told no; it wouldn't take that long. So then I said never mind because I wouldn't have time. So then the manager (I'm assuming he's the manager... I didn't delve into everyone's position) reluctantly said he would do it. I assume (I know.. assuming makes a ......) he didn't want to miss out on the money. I cal ahead of time, and they have the walk in policy. Well I go in at 4:20, I tell them I need a wax. I don't get seen until 5:01pm, why I waited that long, I killed time, so not trippen about the time. Oh but it gets better, the older male doing nails, finally directs me to the back. Once I get there , it's a cluttered spot, unclean, and why I didn't leave ? Because I already waited 30 minutes, might as well finish . So he begins putting a plethora of wax, which I asked for an arm pit wax, and allows it to overflow and puts on the strip and I opine to him it's not gonna work, he put too much wax. And he yanks it off and lo and behold, nothing but overdone wax and not much hair . I tell him to please put less wax and to rip it off faster on the correct direction. Again, it was a disaster for me. Oh and when he chose to not put so much wax on, he finished. I told him I am not interested in doing the other arm pit and this fool still charged me $15. Not gonna argue over money but I do want to warn others of this place. I'm not from Amarillo, but I do depend on Yelp a lot to look at reviews. I'm new to town and needed to find a good salon. This was near my new place and had some good reviews on Yelp so I decided to come in for a pedicure and eyebrow wax. First things first. When I got there for my appointment I was brought to the back to get my eyebrows done. The chair itself was filthy. I have long hair which ended up sticking to the chair from old wax that had apparently never been cleaned off. After he was done waxing my eyebrows he showed me how they looked in the mirror. They were lopsided!!!! I was too horrified to even say anything. After the eyebrow fiasco I decided to splurge and opted for the deluxe pedicure with paraffin wax. Surely a nice long leg massage would make me feel better? Nope. He was too busy watching TV to actually pay attention to what he should be doing. This is the first time Yelp has ever let me down. I will certainly never be coming back here again. And I can only pray that my eyebrows grow back in quickly. read more

My first time here was last week for a shellac mani, with my Christmas gift certificate, and it was amazing! The guy did a great job of making sure I was happy with the number of coats and to not make the deep purple I chose transparent at all. He then asked if I wanted paraffin wax on my hands, I said sure! :) while my hands soaked in the warm wax, he rubbed my shoulders and neck! I was in heaven and was already telling my bf I was coming back the next week for my pedi! I enjoyed two margaritas on the rocks during my salon time also, which were also very tasty. So for all that, on a tuesday, I paid $28 (plus the tip of course) WOW. This is really the start of my review. My second visit was yesterday and I had been suffering from a migraine for 30+ hours at that point. I went in for a pedi hoping the chair would massage my neck and back and relieve my pain. Ty was who I was seated by and he did the most amazing job of accommodating me and my very weary of pedicures boyfriend. He told us all we needed to know about the different types of pedicures and massages. Let me shorten this up by saying ASK FOR TY, HE IS AMAZING, NICE AND TALKS TO YOU AND MAKES YOU FEEL VERY WELCOME, COMFORTABLE AND RELAXED. My boyfriend decided to go with the foot massage, 30 minutes for $25! I got the $30 paraffin pedicure and subbed the hot stones for the wax at no extra cost! He finished my amazing pedi with the best neck rub EVER! Let's day my horrible migraine was gone by the time I left, and I was definitely planning my next trip to Plant Nails already! The only thing they got right was the color and the length on my nails when I went in to get a fill. They didn't even take their time doing my nails so it felt like they where trying to rush me out. I wanted a design and they completely forgot to put it on. They left so much of the dried dried powder on my hands, so I had to scrape and pick off a lot when I got home. My niece, my father and myself heard about this place! Dad lives in Amarillo but my niece and I are from out of town. It was great! Too bad we didn't hear about this last year! I've gotten their "Texas" or "Texan" pedicure many times, totally wonderful. My toes looked so good! They massage your back while your toes dry too! I got solar nails as well- very pretty.
