No paint on the edges

After spending $60 for a pedicure one day and leaving with them not being able to do my nails, THEY FAILED to give me the usual stamp card when I left. The girls told me the guy working Friday night was named Nick. He is usually accommodating especially when I waited 2 hours and didn't get seen. Even came back the next day. The two girls today July 8th 2023 were rude and feisty like said " you left without your card we CAN't HELP YOu." That stamp card is the ONLY reason I kept coming and not leaving. But not anymore. This the type of job I leave with. Girl who did them was sweet. But the work must be better if your spending so much already. Over $120 spent(still left tip) and I get the book thrown at me.

I am new to the Amarillo area (from Washington) and was looking to find a local Med Spa, mainly for Botox. After doing some research online, I discovered that Awaken Med Spa was close by and had good consumer reviews overall, so I went ahead and booked an appointment. On the day of my appointment I checked in and was brought to a waiting room. Briefly after, I was greeted and led back to a treatment room by Kati, an NP, who is also the owner of the spa. We discussed the treatment plan for Botox injections in the common areas, (forehead, crow's feet and between the brow). Everything seemed to be going fine until she began working on my crow's feet area and nearly injected into my upper cheek. I have had Botox injections a handful of times and I had never had an esthetician make that low of an injection for crow's feet. This was also my first experience of having the esthetician jump right into doing injections without marking the desired injection locations prior. Despite feeling uneasy about it, I trusted that she knew what she was doing with her 12 years of experience, per the Awaken Med Spa webpage. After just 2 days I began to notice dimple-like impressions (as if someone were pinching my cheeks) underneath my eyes in the areas that were injected near my cheeks, if not into my actual cheek muscle. These areas had also begun to pull on the skin under my eyes to cause prominent horizontal skin folds. I called to make a follow up appointment and initially I was told that I need to wait a total of 10-14 days. I called back voicing my concerns and was able to set an appointment for that coming Monday. I felt reassured that I would soon be able to address my legitimate concerns/dissatisfaction, for which I was hopeful there would be a resolution. Monday came and I arrived for my follow up. Once in the treatment room, I showed Kati the depressions under my eyes. At first, she responded as though she had no idea what I was talking about. She even commented "I wish my Botox would look like yours." I expressed my (justified) insecurity and dissatisfaction with the way that the Botox had made my under eyes look and her 'solution' was to just let it wear off in three months. No empathy. No ownership of her miscalculated injections. No additional treatment offered. No discount. No refund. Nothing. I was not happy with that 'solution', so she agreed to put 0.5 units on each side of the dimples which made no difference. I understand that even people who are experts at what they do can sometimes make mistakes. However, I am very displeased with the lack of effort to rectify my warranted concerns. I feel incredibly insecure with the way that I look right as of result of these shoddy Botox injections, especially when I smile. If I could leave zero stars I would. I will not be back.

As I walked in I saw a waiting area & two hair stations. I feel it is missing a checkout counter. However, they deal with their own payouts. I was accompanied to the waxing room where I had a place to put my purse & jacket. When I was ready to undress, she gave me a baby wipe to wipe myself. (Which, I think is awesome) then I remember her putting on some powder before the sugar. Before the session she not only washed her hands but alcohol sprayed in front of me. During the session she took her time & help me feel comfortable. When we finished with the front area she turned me over to one side & continued. She used tweezers then polished it off with some type of serum or oil. I will definitely return. I will also mention the best part is that she does deals for returning customers as well as referrals. If you tell her I sent you, you get $10 off. Some of her deals that I remember her telling me are: - after I complete my 3 sessions of Brazilian sugaring my Brazilians are $40, then after a year they go down to $20 (awesome!) - first underarm wax free - lower leg wax is $25 - upper leg wax is $25 You are able to book with Christina via StyleSeat https://www.styleseat.com/divineshearsspa-amarillo-tx
