Well, I've been coming here for a few years now to this lovely little shop. They have such a loyal client base that they managed to be able to stay in business through the pandemic solely on their loyal customer base, when so many shops closed permanently. These two sisters are amazing and they do fantastic work!!! my gel nails last a long time between fills, because sometimes with my work schedule I just can't get in to get them done, when my appointment time is due. Both ladies are creative with designs and color pairing ideas. I have also gotten great pedicures with gel colour because its summer and I don't like my polish to chip. One of those worst experiences I've ever had at a nail salon, just left this place more then upset. Came in for a gel fill, asked for white chrome..the tech starts putting black on my nails. When I stated for the 4th time that I am asking for white chrome she huffed and puffed, gave me an attitude and began repainting white. I asked several times, please keep my shape "square and straight" so she begins rounding my nails out..the gel is lumpy, it was rushed, poorly done is an understatement. And to top it all off, when she finishes, there is a gross cake of the pre existing black polish she barely took off. And didn't even bother cleaning up my hands and cutting cuticles. And her response to me is to roll her eyes, and tell me that hopefully it comes off after I wash my hands. The manager was nasty, rude and completely unprofessional. Told me if I don't like it I can leave. I left happily. This is the last time I'll ever step foot into this place. They don't care about their customers, and they do a horrible job. Not worth the money, go elsewhere. Let me know if this is what you want your hands to look like 50$ later. read more

I have Been going here for a while and always satisfied with my nails. Since the new owners took over still hadn't had a problem until a new guy did my nails,he cut me and didn't even care told me it was no big deal. I was the one in pain and uncomfortable not him I guess. Also did a very poor job on my fill, polishing, shaping Just an all-around bad job. I live in Boston and was home visiting my parents for the weekend and needed my nails done. The place my mother has been going to (also in Howell) is always crowded, their gel color swatches are all crusty and it's frankly a little dirty in there and my mother was extremely disappointed in her last few visits so I told her I would find her a new nail place since they are a dime a dozen around that area. After looking at other Yelp reviews I saw that Celebrity Nails had great reviews so I figured I'd give it a try! Needless to say by my 5 star rating I had a great experience. They had tons of gel colors to choose from and a lot of color match ones which worked out because I ended up having him paint my toes too! The place was spotless and had nice calming decor. They were playing a movie on the tv while I was there. The gentleman who did my nails took his time and didn't rush and paid attention to detail. I walked out of the salon one happy camper and I LOVE the color I got. I will definitely be back when I'm in the neighborhood and I know my mom will be trying you out soon! I walked right in on a Wednesday afternoon and there were only 2 other women getting pedicures. I got right in with Michelle, which may be the owner, I'm not to sure. She was very sweet and we discussed what I wanted done. She gave me a decent pedicure, nothing over the top but also nothing that was neglectful. Then she did my nails exactly how I wanted them. My wife had an appointment here this morning. She arrived 8 min late to find that her appointment was given away. The staff was super rude to the point that my wife, who has been looking forward to this appointment and has been home taking care of my 4 week old son and 2 yr old daughter, got upset. I have heard nothing but great things about this place but came in as a walk-in for gel mani and pedi and was very disappointed... not a good first impression. The girl got the polish all over my cuticles and there was a big glob in the corner of my big toe which began to peel not long after the pedicure. Not to mention they switched off during the manicure and another woman took over, she was very short with me when I asked her to correct the spots where my nails looked like a mess. It was a Saturday so I made an appointment and after arriving I was told that they don't like to do it but will do it for me and they had only a few colors. I should have left then. Once my nails dried I left and two hours later, several of my nails cracked. The next day they said to come back, she fixed 6 out of 10 nails for cracking and assured me that it should be fine now. Four days later a nail cracks and breaks off. The next day another. I will never go back to them. I do not recommend, at least for this specific service. read more

First time here they did my brows and mani/pedi they were very nice and did a great job and the price was extremely reasonable. The place was very clean as well and I liked that they used fresh tools for each customer. The polish hasn't chipped or faded and I've been at the beach in the sun and in the pool and ocean all week! Phenomenal salon, welcoming environment. Even the clients that seem to be regulars are pleasant and conversational. Every instrument is clean/sterile, and packaged separately - so are the lotions and scrubs. Inside of the salon is pristine and fully renovated, they are a brand new business - just opened about 6 weeks ago. Doesn't have the acetone odor typically found in nail salons. Pedicure tubs are bagged and changed for each client. Super comfy massage chairs. Giant TVs. I got a gel mani/pedi - Each technician pays attention to detail, which I love. If you are a repeat customer, they will not give you any benefits or even try to fit you in if you want to add a service to your appointment. Even if you pay for two people together 12$ manicures x 2 - they will not give you stamp for the $24 out of your wallet. If you don't make your next reoccurring appointment, you can call for hours and no one will pick up the phone. They have messed up our reoccurring appointment. We confirmed the time standing there more than once before we left and then day of became a 1/2 hour earlier (they wrote it in wrong) and then they wouldn't take us even though reoccurring customer. My gels always lifted, so I stopped getting them. The service is okay, not great. Our last appointment was at 1 pm, we sat until almost 1:30. For them start. There have been days, we have been there 2 hours for a set of gels and a manicure. And my mani pedi, I couldn't even enjoy the chair for long, wth? The chair is the reason for the mani pedi... This place has gone downhill. The past two times I have gotten my gels filled, it was an older man who clearly is inexperienced. He is nice and polite but lacks proper training. His hands were dirty, gnarled and even had oozing burns/cuts. I politely asked that he wear gloves and he agreed. My nails ended up breaking after 2 weeks when my gels usually last a month or longer. When I got a fill, I got unlucky again and got the same nail tech. He was very rough with my nails, overfiling and buffing without paying attention to my cuticles. The workspace was dirty and dusty and the tools didn't appear to be cleaned regularly. He cut my finger and I bled. In the end my nails did look good, but didn't last- 2 days later and they're already breaking. Will not be coming back because their new staff is unqualified. read more

I come in once in a while for a basic mani/pedi. No gel, acrylic or anything fancy. I just like to take a break from having to do it myself sometimes. But even with one of the most basic services they offer, they still surpass any other place I've been to. I have gotten toenail infections, cut cuticles, wrongly and poorly shapen nails from other salons which is part of the reason I've stuck to just doing it myself.. But this place is very professional and CLEAN. The technicians are skilled and friendly. The price is fair esp considering the quality of work. They always have time to take me as a walk in and take their time and you can tell they take pride in their work. I'd recommend this place over any others along rt. 9 and I actually discovered them by researching yelp for the highest rated salon in Howell. Don't waste your time going here... Owner is very unprofessional, cold and not friendly. I don't think they want or appreciate new customers. I suppose if we didn't have to wear a mask, all you would see would be an unhappy face. Had an appointment and was 10mins late, when I arrived I was treated very nasty, rude, and unprofessional by the owner and was told that the manicurist already booked another customer, however, there was not a single person in the salon and the manicurist was not even present. She ignored me and didn't even offer me another appointment. When I asked to reschedule she claimed she didn't have any appointments at all until next week! Unfortunately, this is the norm with the owner, I have heard her treat people like that when I have been there getting my service done, the only reason I kept going there was the somewhat convenient location for me and the manicurist who is the only worker there was nice and did a good job. My slight tardiness was not acceptable to her but how about when we have an appointment, get there a bit early or on time, and THEY MAKE YOU WAIT 10 or more minutes and then it's ok??? that has also happened to me. Since the owners sold, and I had a bad experience with the short balding guy, I won't go back. He kept apologizing during the entire time I was getting my nails done. Reason being he was doing a horrific job, so I would point it out for him to fix. He also took my nail length all the way down to my finger tips! At the end I was so aggravated that I talked to Michelle, the new owner, about it. She told me "you come back, we fix next time.". Really?!?!? By far the best gel manicure ($22) and pedicure ($23) I have ever received. The entire staff is very friendly, and clean. The facility is extremely clean and has a variety of colors (OPI) to choose from. I really appreciate how much time the woman spent on my pedicure, and gel manicure. My nails turned out fantastic, perfect filing/shape, perfect cleaning of the cuticles. This gel manicure lasted me over 2 weeks when usually they last me a week and a half because my nails grow fast and they always have tended to lift. BUT, they have not lifted at all from Celebrity! I was a walk-in and was treated with great care. Unlike some salons who rush walk-ins. If you pay in cash they stamp a rewards card, and after a certain amount, you get a free pedicure. read more

I came across Celebrity Nails and read the reviews and I was quite impressed. I decided to try them and I am so happy I did. I had the privilege of having Kevin do my nails and he is just so sweet, attentive and just aims to please you. He did an amazing job! The salon is very clean. I am solely basing the stars on the job that was done on my nails today. I went because of such amazing reviews and people often stated they were treated like celebrities. When I got there I waited about 5 to 10 minutes and then I sat down with what seemed like an owner. She was excellent and did a great job on my nails. Place is also very sterile. While I was getting my nails done I watched the pedicures getting done. They use a plastic bag in the basin to ensure it's clean and sterile. I did have two concerns and probably would have given this place 4 1/2 stars but there isn't an option for that. Most nail salons put lotion on your hands and arms and give you a very nice massage. This place did not. They put a little bit of lotion on my hand and put a hot towel, wiped it off and then said have a nice day. Also the price wasn't too bad for a gel manicure on my own nails, $22. But as I was having my nails done, I overheard them mention they have a rewards program. Well when I left they did not give me a card or even offer to speak about this rewards program. That's frustrating to me because I was not treated like a celebrity like everybody else mentions they are. I would go back again because they did a really nice job on my nails and it's very rare to find a location that does not hurt you. But at this point I'm a little disappointed with the way I was treated. Hopefully next time I go back it will be a little different. read more
