Come here if u love everything on a flat bread. I wanted falafel but they only make it as a pizza. I guess it's a lil different from what I'm used too. It was good though. The cheese and zaatar bread was on point. I love that combo. Everything is made fresh when u order it. It's not your ordinary breakfast place but bread and dipping everything like at home. Good Mediterranean pizza and shwamas are only available on the weekends. Pizzas are excellent and best eaten fresh at the location. Shwamas are okay, and we liked the chicken better as the beef was a bit dry. Ordering was chaotic and my order for some reason took forever despite ordering simple items and same items ordered by my friends came out way earlier. read more

This is a great late night spot. They are open 24 hours on the weekend during Ramadan, so it's a perfect place to get sehri. Prices were super reasonable. They're sausage bread was on point! This is probably the best Mediterranean bakery in Htown. I have never tasted anything that I didn't like. All their cheese pastries are amazing. My favorite is the Halum cheese one though. This place has amazing food yes! Everything we've ever had has been delicious but if you do not speak Arabic I would not recommend going here on the weekends unless you want to wait a few hours for your order. This place is so unorganized, you can be in line and someone walks in and goes straight to the person packing up orders and then straight to the cashier. Most customers are very rude and management does nothing to discourage them from jumping in front of other customers who have been waiting. read more

Dear god why hadn't I heard about this place before? Why???? I came here on a Sunday to check out the Shwarma but was easily distracted by other patrons pizza like dishes. I love pizza and since I had never had one of this variety I scratched plan A out and proceeded to Plan B, order that pizza. There were so many to choose from but I decided to go with a cheese one and a falafel pizza. Dont worry I totally shared most of it but you better believe I could have eaten both of them. They were so cheesy and carbilicious I could just not get enough. We also ordered beef shwarma and it was delicious but come on Im mexican thats totally al pastor style, I digress. Everything about this place was great the food and employees were just top notch. I must say though that the name is off putting. I have been driving by this place and never stopped because the name, at least to me, suggests a bakery. Fresher than fresh. Cheese baked atop a freshly made flat bread/pizza dough but that's not all this place serves. They've got different kinds of savory pies, hot and cold beverages, wraps. But what keeps coming back is their Zaatar bread it's this amazing aroma of fresh baked bread with olive oil and zaatar spices that has kept my tastebuds happy. Cedar bakery you make my heart happy! Brings back so much memory of a similar style bakery my father and I used to wake up early to go to back in our country. Absolutely delicious pies, flat breads, and wraps made here. The line was not well organized. A guy came after us was served before us because he knows someone inside. Food is above average but service suck especially the cashier. MAKE SURE YOU DOUBLE CHECK YOUR RECEIPT/ASK FOR RECEIPT CAUSE THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR THINGS THAT YOU DIDN'T ORDER. Only go there if you do not mind the chaos. Most of the patrons there do not understand the concept of waiting in line for their turn. Forget about relying on the owner or staff to enforce the line or turn. If you wait for your turn, you may actually wait a long time as you will quickly realize that people just cut ahead of you and get their order. If you get to put your order, don't count on actually getting what you ordered. It depends whether the staff who complete your order actually get the order that is written on a piece of paper. There is a good chance that paper never makes it to them, or if it does, it may be ignored. So make sure you ask about your order multiple times. Otherwise, the food is great if you actually do get it. Stick with the sandwiches or the cheese pies. The zaatar (or thyme) and the meat pies are not good. If you crave for the zaatar, go to Sweet Factory on Shepherd. And please, do not call them pizza. The real name is mankoushi (anything you spread on a flat bread). The sweets are just ok. The kenefeh is terrible. If you want to eat kenefeh, go to Phoenicia on Westheimer (not the one downtown). read more

We were in Houston for three days and a friend recommended this place . It was a nice detour for us on the way to the Space Center from Houston. We were not disappointed.
