CRC did great work and worked quickly (finished our house in 2 days). They did a good job cleaning up after the work was done and I have not found any roofing nails since the job was completed. I would recommend them to anyone needing a new roof, good prices, quick work, quality work, and great communication. read more

CRC did a complete roof replacement which included removal of the old roof, adding edge flashing and chimney flashing. In addition they vented bathroom vents through the roof which had previously been vented in the attic. The installation team is exceptional, have worked together for years and very efficient. The job site was cleaned up after each day. Project supervisors were there each day to attend to installation details. Sarah, our representative was excellent and was there each day during the installation. She explained all the available services and there were no billing surprises at completion. CRC is a very professional organization and we recommend them without reservation. read more

Our roof had hail damage, Dan Kunz did a great job working with the adjuster and assisting with filing the insurance claim for the appropriate amount. He oversaw their crew who were quick and efficient along with being very professional. Perhaps the biggest endorsement is that Cedar Roofing can be trusted in all aspects of the process. There are more than a few roofing companies out there that do not have the same level of integrity. read more

We've had Cedar Roofing Company inspect and repair our cedar roof several times over the years to address normal wear and tear. They're very good and haven't been caught up in the "storm chasing" insurance activities that we find other roofers preoccupied with. We highly recommend CRC! read more

I have relied on Cedar Roofing for over 20 years. The quality of the work and responsiveness over the years have been outstanding. In connection with a recent insurance claim due to hail damage, the reps were very accommodating and gave extra effort to persuade my insurance company to pay the full estimated cost to repair the roof. During the course of the work, the crew was very protective of the landscaping. The final product was five star. read more

Cedar Roofing Company has been taking care of my roof for almost 20 yrs. They are always professional, friendly and they know the business. They clean up when they are finished. you would never know they were here. I will always use Cedar Roofing Company read more

My insurance company required me to replace my roof. I cannot recommend Cedar Roofing Co highly enough. They were responsive, prompt, and professional. The entire process from getting a quote to the installation of my roof went very smoothly. I did receive some lower estimates, but it was well worth the little additional I paid to work with such a quality company. Although I was not happy about having to replace my roof, I could not have been more satisfied. read more

We had a cedar shake roof that needed to be replayed. After getting quotes from several companies I chose Cedar Roofing Company. Dan Kottmeyer was very professional and made sure to answers any questions I had . We decided to go with a synthetic material that looks just like real cedar and should last for 50 years with no maintenance required. They did a excellent job replacing our roof and I would highly recommend them for any of your roofing needs. read more

Cedar Roofing did my roof twice, (20 years ago, and again this year) and my siding - they also did my roof repairs for shingles that came loose, before I decided to replace the roof this year- every encounter with them was great, very happy with the service, and the result. they never tried to SELL me something, no pressure, they gave me honest answers, and a fair price. read more

Never had issue with the work itself. However, this company is completely disorganized. I was repeatedly left off the maintenance schedule despite proactively submitting signed contract and following up multiple times. It's very difficult to get a timely response as they are all "very busy" as that is somehow an excuse to ignore paying customers. I feel like I had to beg them to let me give them my money. Quality work, but unfortunately, completely undependable. Stay away. read more

They did a wonderful job - fast efficient and they cleaned up well. Brock was professional, easy to reach, and very helpful.

They were tremendous and the job was done in a week with no issues. The workmanship was great and the entire area was as clean as a whistle after they did a thorough cleanup. Most importantly they were responsive to all of our questions. I highly recommend CRC without any reservations. read more

Highly recommend Cedar Roofing, have been working with them in two homes over the past 30 years. After installing cedar shakes in my current home several years ago, they recently came to clean & stain my cedar shakes. They were thorough and very professional. Compliments to my sales rep Dan and to Alejandro and Luis, who performed the work. read more

Cedar Roofing Company did a great job! They were very helpful in advising me as to the different options for my roofing project. They did the work in a timely fashion and the finished product looked great. They also came back and made a couple of "tweaks" that I requested and it was no problem and no additional charge. They were very professional across the board, including sales, installation and invoicing. They delivered exactly what they said they would! I was very happy with the experience and would highly recommend them. read more

We had our complete cedar shake roof replaced by the Cedar Roofing Company in the summer of 2023. We are very happy with the work that was done. Dan Kunz and his team initially advised us on our insurance claim after a hailstorm, helped us describe the damages and costs with the insurance company, and then prepared a professionally detailed proposal and project timeline. Dan kept us aware of the work schedule and when work would begin. During the project, the CRC team was careful to not damage any of our hardscape finishes or our landscaping and cleaned up the workspace thoroughly each day of the project. The CRC team that replaced the roof was highly experienced and skilled and it was clear the team took the time to complete the work in a high-quality manner. The finished roof product looks great. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Dan and his team and appreciate the outstanding work. We highly recommend the Cedar Roofing Company. Ed Carey, Lake Forest, IL read more

We met with multiple reputable, established roofing contractors who were all impressive. However, Cedar Roofing Company stood out as being the best of the best, and at a competitive rate. From our initial consultations with Keith MacNaught, to the work done by the asphalt shingle team, and the metal roof team, the work was impeccable and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. I look forward to referring Cedar Roofing Company to any friends and family in need of roofing work. read more

21 years for my current roof and after researching for the right company, we selected Cedar Roofing and they did not disappoint. The quality of the shakes and quality of the workers was impeccable. I highly recommend them if you want quality, service and VALUE. I love my roof! read more

Our cedar shake was badly in need of replacement. Keith MacNaught was fantastic! He not came out quickly to look at our house, he provided a quote within days. Once we signed the contract, his promise date was exactly when they came. They staged all of the materials a day or two in advance and brought a crew that worked FULL days everyday and completed the project within a week...in fact, I asked Keith about doing a porch roof repair halfway in and he not only replied, he had a crew come on the last couple of days to replace it!!! That's some kind of service. They brought their own Porta-potty and completely cleaned up as if they were never there (although the new roof was a give away). I was so impressed by their quality or work and ethic, I told my father-in-law who has hired CRC to do his roof. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Thank you Keith and team @ CRC. read more

Great results although the process was a little bumpy but I would definitely work with Cedar again. I had a copper roof installed above a bay window ( 2- 3 day project ) The sales process was clean and pricing was most competitive. The only issue was that the sales representative didn't set expectations properly with respect to scheduling. When I confronted him about it, he was a little defensive but understood. I had little tolerance for weather explanations after 4-5 months of waiting. The issue was that from the time when they said they would schedule and the reality was several months. Each time I called it was explained that I was just about next up. Then winter hit and the further out things went, I was concerned they had my deposit and reached out again. Once again, I was told it was coming up and then weather hit and resulted in delay. I understand the process but I couldn't help feel like I was being pushed off for other projects, which might not have been the case but after 4 months it was difficult to maintain a calm perspective and felt like I had to resort to the "squeaky wheel" tactic. Billing was spot on and smooth. Again, I would use them again but this time handle communication better. I have follow-up work and will be calling them but this time it is less time critical. I do also agree that CRC does care about the customer as Sandy B has posted. read more

CRC was so helpful when choosing what we wanted. Keith MacNaught made sure to walk me thru all options and make the best choices. They did a fantastic job. I highly recommend! read more

I just bought my first home by myself. I was so excited and the inspection didn't note any major issues with the roof except for a window leaking. I suspected it might have been from ice damns and contacted Cedar for their advice. They came out promptly, listened to my concerns, and inspected all the areas of my roof. They discovered a more significant issue that could have caused some other leaking into the main living area. I have had other companies at my other house and they did not have the same materials, professionalism and expertise. I will always go with Cedar Roofing as their consistency with their employees responding to my job and the longevity of their worker, as my roofer has been with the company for 35 years. I was really thankful as winter is coming! read more

We initially had CRC do some gutter work for us and were so impressed that we had Keith quote to replace our 20+ year old cedar roof. We had met with several other roofing companies as I am very research oriented I discovered that most were about the same price, however on cedar roofs the thicker the better unlike asphalt which is all the same thickness many of the other competitors were quoting the same price putting a thinner lower quality shingle on. In addition half the vendors did not even call us back or again offered us less quality and warranty on their installation. Keith ensured our project went smooth and followed up from start to finish and left our home spotless, great job! We highly recommend Keith at CRC and would be proud to show you the work they do compared to the others in our area, we are so happy we choose CRC! read more

Professional from the first call to the final payment settlement. On time, efficient, incredibly tidy worksite. Could not be more pleased with the entire process. Cedar Roofing just finished our roofing job in less than 2 days. Did an incredible job. Workmanship is incredible. Roof looks awesome. Very happy with work. Workers were efficient and very tidy. Cleaning up yard throughout the day. Keith our contact was incredibly helpful and was also our contact for the two solar attic fans we had installed in our house previously. Several neighbors already asking for his contact information. Glad to see there are companies out there that believe in good customer service. Highly recommended. read more

I have worked for Cedar Roofing for over 11 years and I can honestly say this company truly cares about the customer. The workmanship from the crews are just blow my mind, simply the best. Cedar roofing is an outstanding company to work with.    Over the past few years we've been dealing with a persistent leak in our garage roof. Previous contractors that we hired have been baffled as to the mysterious source of the leak. With each passing month our frustration grew. Thankfully, a friend recommended Cedar Roofing. They have been extremely professional showing a dedication that is not common among all contractors. In the end, it was determined that although the water was settling in one spot it was seeping in from a couple of different sources. Their diligence and determination was impressive, trying various solutions and returning to our house until they figured it out. When it comes time to replace our roof we will call Cedar Roofing knowing that the job will be done right. My only regret is that I didn't find them sooner. read more

Our new cedar roof looks great! CRC did a great job replacing the roof along with installing three new skylights and also adding Raindrop gutter guards to our gutters. Called Cedar Roofing to fix a leak in my roof 10/17. They came out, charged me $460 to fix nail pops and add an ice shield. When the weather warmed in March, we had a rain storm and the leak appeared again. I called them in April and explained that the leak issue was still going on. They said they have NO warranty on their repairs and would charge me a service call to come out to analyze the problem. I explained that I paid them already to fix the problem and the problem still exists. It was not even 6 months later! Asked a manager to call me back and received the same narrative. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. They DO NOT stand behind their work! read more

We interviewed 2 other companies that were recommended by our neighbors but they were more expensive. I reviewed all 3 and all recommended the same work be done. CRC showed up on time and did an excellent job. The site manager reviewed the work and had the team come back and improve the shake coverage in one of the blind valleys. I also asked that they look at some areas of the siding that looked damaged and they sent out a carpenter to repair those areas. read more

They were extremely helpful initially, until they found out that I had competing bids that were substancially below their price. Then they were demeaning to the other vendor and became rather rude. I believe it is because they are heavily commissioned and they have a large overhead. I had two homes for them to do but am happy I went another direction. read more

Our cedar roof had been leaking in several places and was getting past it's time. I called several roofing companies and we actually had one "fix" the leaks, only to find they had made it worse. After several interviews I met Mike from Cedar Roofing Company in Lake Forest. He came out promptly and was considerate and very knowledgable about this product. He went up into my attic and we talked about ways we could improve our insulation as well. Though they don't do insulation he was kind enough to listen to my concerns and offered his suggestions to resolve additional issues we were having. From his professionalism, to the product and the quality workmanship , we couldn't be happier. It's beautiful. I was actually excited it was going to rain today ! They weren't the cheapest bid, but they were also on par with many other companies that offered far less than what they offered us. Guess you do get what you pay for sometimes. I know we did. Don't hesitate to call. You won't be sorry. read more
