My oh my, I was DYING to try this place for a while now! And man was it worth it! The tacos and the burgers were so dang good! The breakfast tacos were FAT and graciously portioned. The burger was PHENOMENAL! My gf said it was a bit much on the flavor profile due to the different types of meats that went into the burger but I found that to be a huge PLUS! The service was great! The gentlemen who took our order was polite, enthusiastic, and welcoming. The experience overall was one that leaves one with the desire to visit again. The food park is very clean and parking is minimal but due to low traffic parking should not be an issue. It is outdoors of course so be wary of coming at peak heat hours or make sure you stay cool and hydrated. All right, I'm a fan! The footprint of this place is so spacious, Cedar Pork's practically it's own BBQ *park*! There's a smokehouse serving BBQ and a taco truck doing tacos. Private lot parking and couple sections of sheltered eating areas, as well as some not-as-sheltered. Days open seem a little in flux, but for now (January 2022) they're open F-Sat-Sun, check their site for the times. Haven't tried their BBQ yet. But dang, one of their taco dishes are up there with the best I've had. Get their 'Street Tacos Matamoros' - it's a classic Mexican street taco with carne asada, cojita cheese, diced onion, and cilantro. The 'Matamoros' style adds slices of avocado, which boosts these tacos to perfection. For this dish alone, this place scores a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. I came here on 9/26/2020 to pick up a few items to-go. I ordered a taco trio, nachos and a Matamoros taco. Matamoros taco This taco is a staple dish in Matamoros, Mexico. This taco is made with ground beef and various spices. This is a type of taco I have had many times before. This taco unfortunately was extremely greasy and lacked the punch expected with the earthy spices from a taco like this. 2.5/5 Nachos Special with Ribeye The ribeye was tough and sparse on this dish. Talk about overstuffed breakfast tacos! This place is a great find. Hubs was craving breakfast tacos so we stopped by Cedar Pork to see what they have. This place is perfect for outdoor dining during Covid. Each taco came with 2 eggs and plenty of protein of your choice. Also came with this green salsa which has a real kick to it and soooo good. Only $3 each so we certainly got enough for a few days worth. We tried different meats with eggs and I think my favorite was sausage and carnitas with eggs. I feel a little bad writing this review, but I've got to be honest. The food is decent, but the service is so weird. We first tried them out maybe two years ago and waited 45 min for our order despite there not being many customers. The food was good, so I skipped writing a review in case it was a fluke. This week I spotted their facebook promo advertising free breakfast tacos so I thought I'd give them another try. Double-checked the hours online and planned a taco date with my two year old. We showed up Friday just after 10am (several hours after listed opening time) and the truck was in a different spot...but where? Several trucks were in the lot, most looking closed and none labeled Cedar Pork. I asked around and was directed to a closed truck labeled Mexico Lindo and Delicious. When no one appeared there, we trekked across to the back lot where there was a truck with the same label and the guy there was super nice and ran over to start tacos for us until another guy showed up. Not sure if their hours need to be updated or if they just wait around for customers before opening each day? They were very nice and gave us an extra free taco for my daughter. The food was good, hefty portions and moist enough to not need salsa. Staff is so nice...but after two bad experiences I don't feel comfortable recommending then unless you have time on your hands and happen to already be in the area. read more

It's alright. I gotta say with all the fantastic reviews my hopes and expectations were high. We ordered quite a few items from here. My son ordered the cheese quesadilla and it was really good - basically a single flour tortilla folded in half with a ton of cheese in between. My wife and split the 2 meat plate with brisket, jalepeño sausage, green beans, Mac and cheese, and a side of beans. The beans were probably the best item of all of them. Mac and cheese was cheesey and better than average. Green beans were pretty average and clearly from a can. The jalapeño sausage didn't have much of a kick and was pretty tough. The brisket had ok flavor, was super fatty but had good texture. Normally we split a 2 meat place at most bbq places, but the quantity of food seemed small. The sausage was like a 5" piece sliced 4 ways. The brisket was like 3 or 4 thin slices. So, we decided to get signature street tacos and splurged the extra $1 on avocados and cheese - these were legit. It's worth checking out for sure. I enjoyed the outdoor setup. read more

This place is super conveniently located near Brushy Creek Park so is an ideal stop for a post Saturday morning walk. I just wish it was a better experience, and for the price ($5+ a taco with their up-charges) it's not worth it. I have ordered from here twice recently, and both times they messed up my phone order, charged me extra for cheese (that was supposed to come on the taco anyway) and the pickup experience was an absolute clustered mess. I had my newborn with me in the car and they only had 2 of my 4 tacos ready, and then proceeded to take 30 minutes to make the tacos they forgot. There were several other disgruntled customers leaving without food and waiting for way too long. The tacos themselves are big and filling but are very greasy. We ordered The Pig and the pulled pork breakfast tacos, the second time I tried the desperado (was supposed to have queso, got home and it only had shredded cheese, oh and they charged me for swapping chorizo for bacon). Their green salsa was good, they apparently sometimes have red but both times I visited they were out. (Both visits were approx 11am on Saturday mornings). Cedar Pork is a food truck - On an unbelievably vast amount of real estate. For places with huge amounts of outdoor space to go with your food, See Indian Roller (but that is a bar) or Buck's Backyard (but that is a gigantic dance hall that can hold hundreds and hundreds of people.) This is one teeny tiny itsy bitsy food truck. But it has as much outdoor seating and open space as a municipal park. One consequence of all of this space is that THIS IS THE SAFEST PLACE TO EAT OUT YOU CAN POSSIBLY FIND EVEN IN THE MIDDLE OF A RAGING PANDEMIC. Tables are easily twenty yards away from each other. If you feel that twenty yards is too close to your neighbor, you can find corner seats a zillion miles from your neighbor. You can eat well and not die of the plague. * * * How is the food? Awesome. Minor note: Ignore the green sauce that comes with your tacos. Save that for if you are ordering something plain like egg and potato. The more elaborate tacos are perfectly balanced when they come out of the kitchen. If the green sauce was a student in first grade, the teacher would put on its report card "Does Not Play Well With Others". The sauce does not play well with anything you would put it on ... But you can always take the sauce home and serve it on something boring like leftover steamed cabbage. * * * All in all, This is a magnificent establishment. And in a pandemic the ability to eat out in the open surrounded by absolutely nobody is 1000% precious. We stopped by purely on accident it seems they have revamped and have new management we just happened to be passing by and I saw the truck and figured we'd check it out. Turns out they aren't officially open yet but they will be this Saturday. Now to get to the food it was amazing I got the Diablo burger and if you could find a juicier yet somehow crispy burger please let me know because it was amazing unfortunately I did not take any before pictures but I did get an after lol. I just left the food truck and waited over 20 minutes after placing my order for pick-up. It took FOREVER for them to get my order in place. When I asked them 20 minutes in, they said they had one taco out of two ready; DoorDash was rolling in, picking up orders without any wait right and left. I'm in my work vehicle and still waiting. I finally got my order, but it was wrong. I asked for green salsa, and they gave me no salsa (why ask what I want). I liked how fine the onions were chopped. Tortillas were prepared like they do in San Diego - both flour and corn - roasted over the fire. I've never had chopped carne asada. There wasn't much depth to the flavor of the carne asada or barbacoa. Greeeeeeaasy! My Barbacoa taco foil probably had two tablespoons of grease in it after I finished the taco. They do offer a lot of choices. I would definitely go back to try the breakfast tacos, but I'll pay extra to add sour cream or avocado. They offer breakfast tacos at lunch time too. Delicious breakfast tacos and huge portions. I tried the bean and cheese, egg and carnita, and egg and chorizo. The tacos with meat were HUGE and easily could have been 2 or 3 tacos if we had more tortillas. I had never had carnita breakfast tacos but it actually paired nicely with the egg. The salsa roja is average, but the salsa verde is super fresh and flavorful. Near the food truck are a bunch of picnic tables in a grassy area so there's plenty of seating. We were craving breakfast tacos and decided to stop at Cedar Pork. The outside seating is nice and spacious, perfect for maintaining social distancing. We did wait about 10 minutes for our three tacos, they aren't extremely fast but you can tell that they make them fresh. I ordered the Pig Out and a Chorizo and Egg taco. I usually eat quite a bit but these tacos are super massive. They are kind of hard to eat because there is so much filling and the flour tortilla can't handle the weight, therefore it breaks apart. Try the BBQ! My wife loves tacos and I love BBQ, so imagine my delight when our neighbor recommended Cedar Pork - a place that serves BOTH. Then, imagine my disappointment when the cashier told me they'd just sold the last bit of BBQ to the customer before me. She must have sensed my disappointment because said she'd talk with the pitmaster to see if they had anything left they could serve. He came out himself and said he'd put together a plate with a little bit of everything they had left. We ended up with a delicious plate of sliced brisket, pork ribs, jalapeño sausage, and regular sausage. The BBQ was ON POINT! Great flavor all around and better than most BBQ places we've tried in Cedar Park. But honestly, the biggest surprise was the baked beans. I'm usually not a fan of baked beans because of the sweetness, but these had a smokey flavor that I'd never tasted in baked beans before. Delicious. And a free beer while you wait? It was a "I wasn't hungry until dinner time" kind of food coma. The Torch Breakfast taco was so I then went the next evening to grab dinner. And I am never successful in getting what I asked for. They run out of everything constantly, and some days they simply do not make certain items. Do not try to call ahead and do not order online, because the likelihood of your order being filled completely is slim to none. I've also emailed the owner, trying to understand how I can better order so that I can actually get what I want. I never received any type of reply. The signature tacos or the barbecue? Well, it was Saturday and they only do barbecue at the weekend so I chose the barbecue. I got the two meat plate with potato salad and green beans only because the people in front of me ordered five of those and they looked like they had been there before. I chose the brisket and pulled pork. If I hadn't been influenced by the crowd, I would have just had the pulled pork sandwich but I'm glad I had no willpower. The brisket was no-teeth-barbecue tender and the sides teamed perfectly. I really liked the potato salad. It was Louisiana-style-hot summer-family reunion potato salad which means equal parts egg, mayo, and mustard but NOT soupy and heavy on the celery. For me, this place is killin' it in the little things. There was the discreet little paper bag filled with bbq sauce, bread, pickle, and onion. There was the opportunity to snag a quiet picnic table under a tree and read for a while before my meal came. There was the table of friends who brought three bottles of wine and chilled them on ice while they ate and caught up on their lives. We used to love this place! But in the last few months the quality has really gone down. In one taco the egg was burned, the other raw runny. The order was also wrong. Also, the flies are horrible there. They need to remove the trash cans further away from the truck and tables..they also need lids. We watched the cook come out and spray chemicals to clean the tables. We get they need to be cleaned but he shouldn't be doing that. Not even sure if hands were washed after cleaned down the tables. I only found out about Cedar Pork because they were featured on the favor delivery app. So I decided drive up and to try it out... I've been 4 times in the last month. I recommend everything I've tried: -brisket breakfast taco (smokey & delicious) -pork breakfast taco -chorizo breakfast taco -barbacoa taco with cilantro and onions (which has pushed me to leave a review) You want amazing tacos? This is the place hands down. Have people from out of town who want to try Austin's amazing breakfast tacos? Now you don't have to drive them south to get mouth watering tacos. My kids got a shredded beef quesadilla and cheese quesadilla (we were warned that the chicken tinga was a bit spicy) and I got the beef asada street tacos.
